Had a 22 inch northern on. Was reeling in smoothly and all of a sudden gets about 5 times bigger, then goes back to about the same weight… get it to the boat and the back half of the fish is barely hanging on. Giant musky got a hold of it on the way in

My wife and I were at a bed and breakfast that had a lake. We were catching massive bluegill. As she was reeling one in, I saw a 6 lb bass chase in her bluegill to the boat. 6 lb was a conservative estimate. The phrase “….we need a bigger boat” came to mind

That rig is money. Heres my story . Santee Cooper res we were catching white perch for a night of catfishing. I swung my perch rig out and down and waited as 1,2,3 ,4 perch hit my rig . I started to reel in my with my light spinning rig with 8lbs test mono . Suddenly the drag started screaming . I set the hook but couldn't slow the fish . I was nearly spooled before I started gaining line . I tightened the drag a couple clicks and several minutes later boated a largemouth bass that tipped the scale at 13 lbs. I released it along with it's meal of white perch. My biggest largemouth by six pounds caught by accidental livebaiting.

Nice video and superb lure design and mfr. I've caught many freshwater and saltwater fish and had them hunted and then consumed by an apex predator fish. Cool to see this lure being so successful. Seems this is a trait of the apex's DNA (?). Anyhow, this leads me to suggest a Marling project to consider; An A-Rig (Alabama Umbrella Rig) which would involve several peripheral fish and the larger more enticing center fish (the center one is the one usually consumed). Thoughts?

I'm on my lunch break and went to our deli in Clinton, IA and when asked if I was going to eat my sandwich there or to go, I informed the nice woman that I was going to take my sandwich up the street to my house so I could watch a RUclips video of a guy who made a lure of a fish about to eat another lure but both are part of a lure. The older gentleman and his wife waiting in line behind me chuckled, and the man said, that sounds alright! I told him the guy is Marling Baits and he is in Iowa. When I got to the register, I asked for a pen and paper. The pen was secured, but the paper was harder to find, so I ended up using a deli order slip. You know the kind. I flipped it over and wrote, "MARLING BAITS - RUclips" and walked back to him in the sandwich line and said, "Sir, here you go." He took it, looking confused and then smiled after reading it and said, "Thanks!"
So... that's how my dumb patter at the deli may have resulted in a new follower in Iowa. Maybe. I'm going to eat my 1/2 turkey sandwich now and then the cup of potato salad and then the thumbprint cookies.

When I was 14 I was up north at Crane Lake Minn with my Dad and bro. We were fishing the mouth of the little vermillion river. I hooked into a walleye and as I was reeling in, it would pull extemely hard from time to time. When I got it up next to the boat, it was revealed. A freakin monster Pike was devouring the walleye. Will never forget that.

@@KelseyDrummer We visited a cold part of Texas one during Christmas when I was younger. The residents there wore regular pants and maybe a light sweater or sweatshirt.
I was so cold I couldn't hardly walk straight cause I was shivering so much.
I understand that when folks say it's "Hot" they mean "Hot" according to what they are accustomed to so, I don't want to come off sounding like I'm trolling anyone when they mention the heat in their part of the country. It's just that what some folks consider "Hot" is close to ideal weather to other folks.
