Hey man, I just wanted to say you've been in my thoughts almost every day since Chip passed. I know you miss him more than we ever could, and I just wanted to thank you for both you and him for bringing us so much joy over the years. I get incredibly excited every time I see one of your new videos. Stay strong and keep the lines tight.
@geelangadipr223 , he talks about a few videos ago, "One Last Strawberry for Chip." Very sad. I still tear up a bit because I also lost my dog. Very hard to deal with.
Chip was the goodest boy in the world but now he gets to live in a world where he gets as many strawberries as he wants, love the videos they teach me a lot and just know that chip will always be there with you and stay strong no matter what
Always love the "bass like this" line, because this is the man who literally caught bass with an unfinished block of wood to prove they'll eat ANYTHING lol
I will miss seeing Chip. You were a good boy. I'm very orry for your loss my man. I know what you are going through, nothing helps, it just takes time. Just know that you gave that little guy the best life. He was happy and loved
As always, great content... I especially appreciate when you made it "Oh Fish" al @ 17:12 where the words on the dock are "No Fishing from the Dock"!!! Perfect!
Hands down my favorite RUclips channel 😁 you’re the man Nate. Your attitude and your passion are inspirational. Thank you for all the hours I’ve gotten to spend watching you make baits. 😊
There we go!! I like that bait. I use a Livingston Lures - Walking Boss II (NOT for the gimmicky EBS crap!) for walleye at night. It is a long jointed bait with the jitterbug lip and does the plop plop real well from the first crank. That's coo to get bit from a lake bass. Thanks for the video. It's fun to listen. Kids grow fast. I have a 9 yr old & a 3 yr old. Girls.
I made a 70mm jointed jitterbug specifically for early evening Australian bass last spring and it turned my already rewarding bass season into some of the most exciting sessions I’ve ever had. The hits, the implosions on the surface, fighting to get them away from the snags. Hell yeah.
I have a jointed jitterbug in the frog pattern. It looks fantastic, has amazing action, and I've never caught a fish on it. Have had it for at least 20 years.
Yep, I like Jitterbugs too. My first Jitterbug I got for free! I was at a lake my family loved to go to on weekends, and walking along the shore I found a classic all black one just bobbing under a tree root. And that first lake that you went to was great! Not just a good place to fish, but also someplace that I could just set up a chair and watch the water.
Another awesome video sir! Not the same without ol chippy running around. It's kinda weird not hearing the paws on the floor when you say "On to the next bait" but he's for sure eating all the strawberries he can right now. Keep up the awesome work! (Bait idea: Have your kids draw out and color a picture of a lure and make it!) ❤️🎣
This is one cool looking Jitterbug bait the color is a great color. The way you did the line tie worked perfect and not only that you made it official twice!!
Used this technique two weeks ago and it truly was a game changer. I’m just getting comfortable with cranks That was all the hogs wanted that day. Slow drag on the bottom. 3 fish over 20” that day! Public water too!
"Shop is an absolute mess. I don't even have time to clean it." Just the same for all of us lol. Just thought "how is that marling baits guy doing". I have not watched your videos for ages now. I went more from baits to tying flies. Soo nice to see smooth as heck baits. Really when did the time go last times:)
Hey dude, was watching older videos of yours and saw the video of you catching that giant walleye on the spoonbill lure. Just wanted to remind you of that to get that little rush we all get with those memories. Have a fantastic day.
I’ve got a jointed jitterbug with a massive feathered treble off the back. Couldn’t help but get a little teary eyed with the zoom in of the German shepherd. 🥹
Great video and great bait, I bet that bait would have been a player in the elite tournament on Murray. They were crushing them on top water baits. Anyway, nice to see a dog that reminds you of Chip. I commented a few weeks ago about how my son and I just lost our 14 yr old border collie, Dallas. We were watching the dog show last night and my dog’s twin won the running/agility competition. It was sad but it brought back so many great memories of her being young. Keep up the great work!
I love that lake this time of year. Some photos came up in my memories today of a really special day there with Goody last year. The first bass I caught on top was on one of the original Arbogast jitterbugs. What a great, classic bait. Loved your paint on this one. Bummer on that dead musky!
I always find it refreshing to comr back and see a new and amazing Marling Baits video! Keep up the amazing production man, also di saw another comment about not strssing yourself to do one days. We all love your content how ever you wish to produce it. Cheers!
I loved this bait! Was a popular bait for me as a kid. Couldn’t really screw up the retrieve 😆. On a side note, love the random birds, deer, other wildlife footage you sometimes bring to the videos you make. It all makes for a very enjoyable video. Keep up the great work! On to the next bait!
Awesome! I wanted to make me a replacement Jitterbug and this is full of tips and tricks. Thanks. BTW, the one I had would react so well to bending the lip more concave by a tiny, tiny amount.
Thank you sir! A beautifully executed bait. I just went and caught 3 pond dinks on my first ever home made soft plastic (1.7" epic preybait). So also thanks for making that possible!
I put screw eyes in both holes and add split rings to them, it makes a bit of a sound. I put a split ring on the line tie as well. You can change tie-points as you wish that way.
Possible lure idea, a top water popper made to look like a tarpon, or like a speckled trout, could have the single tooth in the open mouth. Love the videos sir, I always download a bunch to watch on road trips!
Really happy to have found your channel again, your content has been such a source of comfort for me. I loved the paint scheme you chose, excited to see more from you !! also, ik this isn't something you normally do, but i'd love to see a pokemon theme'd lure c:
My dad introduced me to Devil Horse lures a long time ago when we were fishing together. If I run a top water lure I always go with Devil Horses. I'd tried Jitterbugs and had no luck with them at all.
Nice video and nice Jitter Bug In the spring I tend to fish the last 2 hours before sunset and about 2-4 more hours In the summer I will start fishing about Midnight to 2 AM Then fish till a hour or so after sunrise But admit it A Black Jitter Bug works about as well as any other color in low or no light fishing
A jitter bug is one of my most favorite baits slow retrieve with a few stop and goes has always be successful for me. A for a night baitva black jitterbug you heard the giggling back and forth then that explosive strike as the fish hits it it almost heart stopping. Some of my biggest fish came at night on a jitterbug or on the tiny torpedo. There was one other bait I don't remember off the top of my head made by aure manufacturers that was in palm Beach Florida the made lure I believe it would have caught fish out of the bath tub. It had a front and a rear prop it tapered almost to a point on both ends it had a coach dog paint scheme with a green back. Over the years I gave some away and lost some unfortunately the company stop making them. It would produce fish unfortunately I don't have any more and forgot the name because of the time that has pasted but I will never forget the catchability of lure as it drew in the fish. It wasn't a big lure about two inches long but it caught fish of all size. If I remember the name I will let you know

RIP Chip :(
When I seen the shepherd, I thought about Chip.
Wait, chip dies🥲??
@geelangadipr223 , he talks about a few videos ago, "One Last Strawberry for Chip." Very sad. I still tear up a bit because I also lost my dog. Very hard to deal with.
Get out of the strawberries Chip! RIP bud
Unreasonable amount of relief I felt when the music didn’t continue playing for the rest of the video. Cheers
19:26 Thanks for adding this I'm sure you miss him as much as we do .
Chip was the goodest boy in the world but now he gets to live in a world where he gets as many strawberries as he wants, love the videos they teach me a lot and just know that chip will always be there with you and stay strong no matter what
The day just keeps getting better especially when we get a one day
Reminds me of an old school chug bug I have too of them myself
Don't you mean a Wwwhhhhhooonedaaaaaayyy!
@@bilalsaloojee532 yes that is what I meant😂
Always love the "bass like this" line, because this is the man who literally caught bass with an unfinished block of wood to prove they'll eat ANYTHING lol
The huge smarter ones won't hit anything. But yeah, I get your drift though. Love this dude.
I don't think there's a single thing on youtube I click on faster than your One Days.
I will miss seeing Chip. You were a good boy. I'm very orry for your loss my man. I know what you are going through, nothing helps, it just takes time. Just know that you gave that little guy the best life. He was happy and loved
@17:17 Dock Flip onto the NO FISHING verbiage! Classic!!
17:20 “no fishing from the dock” 😂
you have been subscribed to this channel longer than me.
I was just going to say the exact same thing 😂😂😂
I thought I saw that but wasn't sure haha, at least I'm not seeing things😂
I don't think he was on the dock. Though he was casting towards it
As always, great content... I especially appreciate when you made it "Oh Fish" al @ 17:12 where the words on the dock are "No Fishing from the Dock"!!! Perfect!

I didn't want to cry today. But I think I needed to cry today. Best wishes.
I have a jointed jitterbug in the frog pattern. It looks fantastic, has amazing action, and I've never caught a fish on it. Have had it for at least 20 years.
Any JITTERING Bait would be proud to wear that coat and what a wonderful action!
wohooo you tested before painting I love it

Marking baits may be down but his community keeps him up 💯
Jointed jitterbugs are one of my favorite topwaters. Better than ploppers in my opinion. Love the video!
I'm so jazzed. Open water season is open here and I'm wanting to make a bait or two. We shall see!
Yes finally a jitterbug😎👍🏻
LOVE Jitterbugs! Versatile bait.
Thanks for the videos/really enjoy them!!
Another awesome video sir! Not the same without ol chippy running around. It's kinda weird not hearing the paws on the floor when you say "On to the next bait" but he's for sure eating all the strawberries he can right now. Keep up the awesome work!

❤️🎣
You catching a fish and reeling it in over the no fishing sign.. perfection
Your gunslinger casting style is epic.
what a nice relaxing wHOoOone dAAy!
I love that lake. I need to get out there sometime. I like that you can catch all three major species. Pretty unusual for our state.
This is one cool looking Jitterbug bait the color is a great color. The way you did the line tie worked perfect and not only that you made it official twice!!
What a way to wake up from a nap. Let's go! Fellas. Woohooo
I can't wait for the day that Fin joins in for some competitive lure making!
Used this technique two weeks ago and it truly was a game changer. I’m just getting comfortable with cranks That was all the hogs wanted that day. Slow drag on the bottom. 3 fish over 20” that day! Public water too!
Твоя работа -это шедевр 😍🏆
I really hope this template ends up on Fish With Your Masterpiece 🤞🤞
Love getting to watch you work your magic.
She put the boom boom into my heart
Easily one of the best, if not the best, channel on youtube. You make some killer videos man and I love every second of them. Thanks for this content.
Best blooper compilation ever? I think so.
"Shop is an absolute mess. I don't even have time to clean it." Just the same for all of us lol. Just thought "how is that marling baits guy doing". I have not watched your videos for ages now. Reallly look forward to seeing your name pop up in my notifications
Hey now this is a cool design! Glad to see you moving along.
Hey dude, was watching older videos of yours and saw the video of you catching that giant walleye on the spoonbill lure. Just wanted to remind you of that to get that little rush we all get with those memories. Have a fantastic day.
This is definitely a fish catcher. I’d love to see your version of a rattle trap
Chip was way better looking than the one in the video.,😉 They stay with us forever. Thanks again 👍
I’ve got a jointed jitterbug with a massive feathered treble off the back. Couldn’t help but get a little teary eyed with the zoom in of the German shepherd. 🥹
Thank you for the One Day build. It was a great burst of inspiration for me. It's good to see you smiling and cracking jokes again. Cheers Nate!
I like the bug!
As you build this JitterBait, it is clear. You are a Master Baiter. I need to get your class, so I too can Master Bait at this level.
19:24 ❤ we miss him too
Jitterbugs are one of my main baits in my arsenal same with frogs. Thanks for the video nate always a joy to watch
Great video and great bait, I bet that bait would have been a player in the elite tournament on Murray. They were crushing them on top water baits. Anyway, nice to see a dog that reminds you of Chip. The first bass I caught on top was on one of the original Arbogast jitterbugs. What a great, classic bait.
Loved your paint on this one.
Bummer on that dead musky!
You should make a colossal squid bait!
I always find it refreshing to comr back and see a new and amazing Marling Baits video!
Keep up the amazing production man, also di saw another comment about not strssing yourself to do one days. We all love your content how ever you wish to produce it.

On to the next bait!
I was on MacBride on Monday and saw that same dead musky at the boat launch🤯
Awesome! I wanted to make me a replacement Jitterbug and this is full of tips and tricks. Thanks. BTW, the one I had would react so well to bending the lip more concave by a tiny, tiny amount.
Jitterstick! All it needs is a prop on the back. I am a suckered for a Jitterbug! My favorite kind of lure to make, too.
That paint scheme is pretty sick 🤘🏽♥️
Oh no! forgot the spots 😆
Nice twist on the Classic original topwater master . Much love brother
heck yea some jitter bug love
Thank you sir! A beautifully executed bait. I just went and caught 3 pond dinks on my first ever home made soft plastic (1.7" epic preybait). So also thanks for making that possible!
Love the “No fishing” on the docks. Lol but stay strong. We all miss chippy too.
I put screw eyes in both holes and add split rings to them, it makes a bit of a sound. I put a split ring on the line tie as well. You can change tie-points as you wish that way.
Wishing you the best from California brother!
Great looking jitterbug, man . That's an old school Bait
Awesome lure!
Possible lure idea, a top water popper made to look like a tarpon, or like a speckled trout, could have the single tooth in the open mouth. Love the videos sir, I always download a bunch to watch on road trips!
