I Caught An Urban LEGEND, Biggest PIKE in The Canal!

- This session I decided to hit the canal with the dead baits. This is mostly due to the fact that I have a fractured elbow and lure fishing was off the cards. I expected a few pike, but i never expected to catch the legend I've heard stories bout! In the urban canal!

Don't forget to check out this week's YPC bank UK where we find out who's done enough to get through to the final! Wish me luck! It will be live at 6pm today! Here in the link - ruclips.net/video/5EJxJyesJ9I/видео.html
Should you not have put that pike out of its misery it looked extremely skinny and will likely die of starvation over the next 2 to 3 weeks horrible way to go.
Well done mate, so many noobs are taking up pike fishing, and your leading from the front! For us to keep our pike safe, it needs people like you taking these noobs (that are going to happen anyway) in the right direction 👍
Sad thought neither of those fish will be alive 6months, hammered
You better win!
Hi, you make fantastic videos👌You are from Manchester
Really appreciate that decency, care and compassion for the fish. Great work mate! Respect.
Were not just fishermen, we are sportsmen and conservationists.
Love them fish. X
@@BIGM-gg9ln What, and traumatise the bollocks out of 'em ? Aye, im sure they're happy to be dragged out of their gaff on a hook. Don't talk shite, mush. That's gonna prolong their lives immeasurably, surely ? I'm anti gobshite, not anti fishing; per se.
@blackbob3358 you are speaking the truth. I love fishing, but I'm not delusional. It does zero good for each fish to haul them up out of their environment where most can only breathe, handle, dehook, and return. Never mind the ones who get damaged/killed due to the process. It's actually rather cruel. Glad to know I'm not the only one to admit it.
@@blackbob3358 Without fishermen, most wouldn't know or care if there were fish present. Fishermen are the first to report any problems with the water, wildlife - or people plundering the stock. Nothing gobshite about that, oh churlish one.
What an Ambassador to the sport you are young man. You have my utmost respect, support and admiration. <
Was this your first session wearing my FWC sweater? if so, IT'S A LUCKY SWEATER hahaha Well done on the giant pike!
Only the finest drip 😂
Carl. You are a legend, sir. 😂😊
It was actually 😂. I've been wearing it quite a bit and I have to say it's very comfy 😏. Thanks bud!
@@needham831 ❤🙂
You're welcome mate! I'm glad happy to hear that :)@@The_ginger_fisherman
what a great pike, that`s the moments of fishing you will never forget, greetings from germany
What a great capture. Well done. She was a catch of a lifetime on some canals 👏👏👏 ahh, but I congratulated you too soon. That poor last pike. What a shame for it. I'm just glad that you were there to help it. Well done to you for that.
Pike have always been treated abominably. In match fished waters they were routinely thrown up the bank to die. Gorge baiting was common. They are still killed in trout waters. Hopefully you'll do your bit to educate anglers what magnificent creatures pike are.
Mate I love the determination from you but it wouldn’t hurt to have a break whilst you recover and maybe upload old vids or just montages I’m sure people would understand.
Totally agree Ethan, I'm not sure on the extent of Chris' injury, but pushing too hard will both lengthen recovery time and make incomplete longterm recovery more likely.
You are my favorite fisherman from England . I appreciate every single video you are posting . Greetings from Romania !!! ♥🎣
Well done Chris for catching a beauty fish! And also helping out the other one. Hopefully it’s able to live longer now🙏🏽
Smiling ear to ear watching this! Wow! Insane pike Chris, well done!
Well done some amazing catches ,so glad to see you put them back ,they are beautiful i used to love pike fishing years ago back in Yorkshire
Thanks ❤👍 congrats on smashing up your group, looking forward to the final !
I’d love to watch a Vlog of you and Geroge, going on a remote adventure, fishing, together . The positivity of Geroge, and his contagious excitement would be an amazing video❤🎉🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Give yourself a rest, you don’t wanna do any long-term damage to that arm !!!
I was wincing every time you jarred your elbow that's going above and beyond for your sport, loving the use of double hooks and what a fabulous canal pike. Hope your arm gets better soon take it easy.
Well done mate you deserve this fish, all the time you've put into entertaining us.
Congratulations for this amazing giant and thumbs up for your respectful approach. Fish with spinal deformity like the one you have caught are actually quite common, some of them are congenital, not caused by human handling. I have seen quite a number of perches with similar twisted spine that survive for years. Wish you a speedy recovery, don’t force too much on your elbow!
Top man Chris... heart breaking state of that fish..
Well done on the giant pike ..
Great videos and respect
Sorry to hear about your injury. I watch all your videos. You r a legend. My favourite YT'er.
What an absolutely cracking pike Chris, well done and well deserved mate. Mint condition too!
Keep the videos coming, always a pleasure to watch, ans so inspiring.👍🎣🎣🎣
If there was a medal for fishing bravery-then you were just awarded it! Amazing-well done and get better soon !
What an absolutely beautiful Pike stunning fish! Well done Chris 👏👏
Great work Chris always love seeing your notifications I’m sat waiting for the next notification now to see how you’ve done in this weeks episode of your predator competition I’ve been following for weeks now n I’m rooting for you 🤙
Congratulations mate on your wonderful pike your a credit to all fishermen
Well done hope you're shoulder gets better soon and have a great Christmas thanks for all the videos you have shared all this year
Congrats on the beast croc! Hope your elbow gets better soon. That last fish was in a poor state and well done on educating maybe new anglers to be careful with their catch. I remember not too long after i started fishing i lost my disgorger and though 'meh, i wont need it' sods law i caught a chub deep hooked of about 2lb. I tried forcing various things down its throat to try to unhook it even though i couldnt see the hook and instead of just cutting the line, i pulled it hard and pulled its stomach and its teeth out all at the same time with blood pissing out of everywhere. It made me feel so ashamed and to this day (29 years later) i cringe about how i treated that fish because I didnt know what i was doing and didnt have the right equipment. Now i always have multiple spare disgorgers of different sizes, wire cutters, scissors, forceps and if for some reason i've lost one, i dont go fishing. We owe it to our catch to treat them as well as we can.
Well done that's an awesome catch. Almost like something special to make up for the broken elbow. Happy days. 👊
Just for a second, imagine how you would feel if ginger turned up with a great big fish vid off your water! I’d be devastated
Wow Chris. Only one arm. Well done my man! LEGEND!👍
Superb video. Yet another of the top drawer. Well done! Hope your arm heals well. Best wishes.
Absolutely brilliant! Really enjoy your videos and this was no exception. Congratulations on the pb! Such a shame about that other pike. Bad fish handling is a death nail...hope your elbow is healing too!👍
I’ve watched only 2 of your videos so far and in both you’ve captured lightning in a bottle. First was pike on a pike on a pike. And this one-PB pike and that poor pike that was rescued by you. Amazing work mate!
Very well stated, well done! Wish there were more people around like you
Some great advice there Chris . Well done on your new PB , your deserve that for you perseverance. Wishing you and your family a great Christmas and New Year.
REST YOUR ARM!!
We'll be happy with some Best of 2023 compilation uploads.
Get chilled and ready for the new year.
Great upload and the 2nd big fish is why I subscribed.. Fish care is a must.
just getting in to pike fishing and find your vids to be full of excellent content, great to watch and hopefully learn some things to add to my fishing.
That’s just jaw dropping. Just to think it could hit 30lb in a year or two. Great video. I’ll have to seek out your grass carp vid, now! Well done Chris.
Great video as always Chris. Sorry to hear about your elbow. I broke my radial head in a climbing accident in my mid twenties. It took over a year to really recover but left me with no pronation in my left arm. Doesn’t really impact my fishing but I urge you not to unduly stress it by lifting big pike ! and take it easy with it generally.
After a lifetime of chasing the biggest bass I can I have switched gears and discovered a new found love of pike. While bass fishing I would catch pike on occasion, but never directly targeted them. Their strength and aggression is awe-inspiring. Nice job on landing some beautiful fish.
That's a stonking huge pike Chris you wouldn't think pike of that size would live in a canal and well done on untangling the injured one
The Pike Master, what a canal banger Chris 🎉😎 pity about the damaged pike also.....have a great Xmas....take care of that elbow bud.
Chris - really big fan of your work. Mate, I've fished through many injuries and illnesses and know how it feels when you just want to get out on the bank; I can also imagine the pressure you feel as one of the most consistent YT fishing creators; but PLEASE take that bent back pike as a sign from the fishing gods that you really should be taking it easy! Your fans and audience aren't going anywhere but you could do so much harm fishing on when that break is in the process of its alignment and healing. It was tough seeing you in pain too bro!
WOW Chris thats a monster......and well landed and cared for the injured fish.
Superb video yet again. 24lb pike was a beauty from a canal.
Absolutely stunning catch! Brilliant fish.
Congratulations my dude, you've earned it! 🎉
That's an unreal fish 🐟
It was a toothy banger
Well done on your new p b pike Chris . Such a shame about the other bent looking pike but you done so well in saving it from all that crap rapped around it 👍 nice one
Thanks for putting them back
That’s a beast for the canal my mate caught one about as big in our local river. Thanks for respecting the fish 🎣
Great effort from you, especially with a bust elbow! Congrats on a new PB
U are a trooper Chris well done coming out with this content man nothing will keep u away from fishing thanks man can't wait to see the next one u should take a week of man brilliant loved it 👍 hav a gd Xmas
Congratulations buddy, only a handful of people have ever had a twenty plus canal pike, let alone a 25, an amazing early Xmas present and a bit of Karma after your elbow break. Well done, enjoy the feeling.
Aww Chris 😮 what a beauty I’m delighted for you pal I had to stop the vid to put my comment in as that was an absolute stunner & with a hammy elbow 😂 well done a great early Christmas present & what a present 👌🏼 hope you recover soon keep bringing these great vids I always look forward to seeing your latest vids Have a lovely Christmas pal ✌🏼💙🙏🏼👍🏼🏴
Another cracking episode, congratulations Chris on the PB what a stunning fish, it was awful to see what damage mishandling a fish had done to your second fish, very sad.
Also, I think you will do just fine in the YPC UK final. You need to get yourself up to Scotland for a bash at the big Pike up here.
Wow it's a monster! 😲
Congratulations Chris 👏
Friendships from France!
Chris you are a remarkable angler.
So sad seeing that beautiful big pike in that condition. Thanks for your compassion.
As pike go that was a stunning looking fish. Beautiful colours
Hi!!! Ivm from Belgium... TOTAL respect to what you do. With your broken elbow. And how you handle, and talk about these beautfull majestic animals... RESPECT!!!
It's really beautiful there. I love the urban canals. Great stuff.
Mate, you probably shouldn't have been fishing with that injury but damn, that was an awesome session. Real shame about the pike at the end but you did your best and that's all anyone can ask. Shame I can't make any videos about my favourite areas to fish. The locals would absolutely have my guts for garters. Great video dude. Keep up the good work but make sure you rest that elbow!
What a bloody fish! and while angling with a fractured elbow! Nice work Chris
great video mate i feel for the pike with a broken back. but also a big congrats on the PB AT 24 POUND get in there!

Great job well done with a broken elbow as well, you dug deep and got the reward
Chris you really are an inspiration, all anglers should follow your ethos, congrats on your pb maneater ,would it have been kinder on this one occasion to put the injured pike out of its misery as it obviously wasn't feeding well enough ??
Awesome work Chris! 👏👏👏

Clonker! Well done. All the best with the elbow!!
Good on ya Mate, you are the best looking after all fish.
Well done 👏 ✔ thts one hell off a canal pike mafriend, 🎉 total and utter respect from glasgow 🏴 ✌ 👏 🎣🎣
Massive fan, really appreciate your content Sir
Great effort Chris especially under the circumstances. The ignorance of some people who go fishing either unprepared without knowledge or unprepared without the correct equipment for when they catch one of these beautiful creatures is staggering. I just hope people see this video and can take with them something that will better prepare them for catching and handling pike.
I'm yet to catch one of these magnificent fish as my species of choice is the perch but I know that there's a good chance I will eventually hook into a pike whilst doing so. I am however prepared as possible for this happening with a net, mat and suitable foreceps.
Ohhhh and good luck in the final of the YPC 🤞 I have enjoyed watching all of the episodes and the friendly competitive rivalry has really stood out.
Such a high followed by such a low. Congrats on the new PB, chris. What a specimen pike for canal and with a broken elbow 😮
It's so sad to see pike shortly after.
Well done mate!! What a stunning pike
Congratulations on your PB it was a cracking fish and another great video 🎣🎣

No pike fishing here in Australia.
One of the very few things I miss about The UK.
Well played.
