One of my earliest trips to the cinema was for, 'The Black Hole', back in presumably...the late 70s. My memories immediately are drawn to the passing of the robot at the hands of Maximilian. Therefore, I'll have to dust that one off and honour his memory through that inevitable nostslgia-fest. In lieu of a favourable evening whenever that will be, I doff my cap to him in advance. RIP once again, both robot and Robert, from one Bob to another.

What? No mention of George Cukor's "Justine," (adapted from Lawrence Durrell's acclaimed "Alexandria Quartet"), in which Forster played the smoldering Nessim to Anouk Aimee's Justine? I met Forster backstage once in the early-2000's backstage at a jazz gig and he was charming and deferential, and very witty.
