It's actually the most powerful pistol because of the fact that the round are made for short barrels unlike pistols firing rifle rounds, like 4,000+ ft/lbs of energy.
      Check out this gel testing of it, one round made it through 3 gel blocks and still had power to get through around 4 inches of wood:

      People that are familiar with contenders know that they can't even be chambered in normal magnums due to frame stretch. Thats what the encore was designed for but even the custom encore barrel makers won't EVER make a 500 nitro barrel for this platform because the pressure is too high! This gun is insanely dangerous and needs to be destroyed or it is going to stretch out and eventually blow up. Look up Match Grade Machining on RUclips and the Encore they built in a PRC cartridge. They only got a few shots out of it before the frame stretches causing dangerous headspace so they blew it up. A 700 nitro pistol would be scary and i think would be one scott would be nervous to shoot but also one in trex would be insane cuz its already the honey badger of all rounds

    • @chrisallen9509
      @chrisallen9509 3 месяца назад

      You can do the calculation for how deadly that would be. The recoil velocity of a 500 magnum is 35 ft/s (22 mph). For a 500 nitro pistol, it is 51 ft/s (35 mph). For a hypothetical 700 nitro pistol, it is 81 ft/s (55mph).
      That is absolutely insane, that’s more than double the speed a 500 magnum would have. I don’t think anyone could shoot that without injury to the shooter
