A 700 nitro pistol would be scary and i think would be one scott would be nervous to shoot but also one in trex would be insane cuz its already the honey badger of all rounds
You can do the calculation for how deadly that would be. The recoil velocity of a 500 magnum is 35 ft/s (22 mph). For a 500 nitro pistol, it is 51 ft/s (35 mph). For a hypothetical 700 nitro pistol, it is 81 ft/s (55mph). That is absolutely insane, that’s more than double the speed a 500 magnum would have. I don’t think anyone could shoot that without injury to the shooter

7:48 If you pause and go frame by frame with the period key you can see the muzzle blast create a ring of fire around the zombie head. Pretty damn awesome.
I know Mr. Reeder , he only made a few of those on the Contender frame. The big boys like that need to be on the Encore frame, with a muzzle brake !
I have shot one of his 500 Nitro Express Encore rifles and that was a fun ride ! Thanks for the great videos Scott!!
That recoil going down your arm into your chest was impressive.
I love how even winging a target with those rounds will cause major damage. I thank you and your phalanges for their sacrifice to entertain us all with this video!
Velocity + mass = hehehehehehehehehehe
Hmm, let's hope Scott doesn't discover the pistol chambered in .50 BMG
Only a matter of time
Excuse me, the WHAT?!
Whoopsie! I mentioned that in my comments!🤣
@@arroz-autista7766 🤣Yes there's at least one out there somewhere.
@@arroz-autista7766 Yes, it's a real thing and it's called the Triple Action Thunder :D
You actually make the recoil look not all that bad. I'm sure it is absolutely insane though. You handle recoil from both rifles and pistols better than anyone I have ever seen.
I’m not gonna lie, that would shatter my hand! You’re a mountain of a man Scott, with a massive heart to go with it.
This video was absolutely immaculate, right down to the cuts and overall pacing. A+
You handle that 500 like a Boss. I own a contender and love it, but would never have imagined that big monster caliber on that platform.
Dude, you got a serious grip, that one handed shot was impressive, both from a good shot and maintained control perspective.
He is strong 💪
Brings new meaning to the phrase "hand cannon." Very impressive.
The meaning of this is a tad outdated. I would choose this against zombies over Scott's pistol:

Man I think this is one of my favorites from Kentucky Ballistics. Kids will be home soon from school and my son, he’s six and we love watching these videos together I can’t wait to show him. Thank you for keeping it family friendly. Yins are awesome, God Bless and peace out!
9:38 I won't mention spoilers for anyone new to the video, but with the item featured here - it's definitely another reminder for why I'm glad Smell-O-Vision never caught on.
I have to give you respect Scott. You exercised good control over that behemoth of a hand cannon.
First and foremost, the slo-mo footage was very very impressive. Also what a beautiful pistol, well hand cannon… 🔫
And YES I was entertained! 🤩 😮
Gary Reeder is a pretty well known pistol smith and he sure did a nice job on that thing didn't he?
great slomo indeed. you could follow the ripples over his body from the hand to the belly. that gun kicks hard.
Worst recoil I've ever dealt with was a S&W 340. That's the scandium frame hammerless .357. a full house .357 that weighs less than a 38 airweight. Fired five rounds and thought a bomb was going off in my hands each time I fired it.
i love my 340, shoot it all the time. its extremely loud but recoil isnt bad imo
Recoil is subjective after all... for guys with little girl wrists like me a 340 is a nightmare 😂✊😂. Glock 19s feel a bit snappy... it’s sad but true.
Those 340's with full 357 loads are like holding a handful of bumblebees.
@@rslover65 it stings for sure.
scott endures so much recoil toutior for our entertainment thx scott
That is scary hearing Scott say that has the most recoil in a pistol he has ever felt.
Also, was dying laughing when you broke out the chainsaw on the table. 😂😂☠
and the head
He said nitro express so many times lol
@@Gr3enAnimations Now what if we get the 700 nitrous expresso handgun it'll be epic but sadly RIP to Scott too🤣
YEAH rip his rist 😂
@@Gr3enAnimations take a shot every time he says nitro express
I am amazed that you could shoot that more than once!!! the recoil was truly incredible. I know you shoot big stuff usually and your form was great but the fact it was literally going fully vertical with every shot and how you recoiled each shot. you are a true G my man! anyone breaking in your house is coming out in puree lol
Hey Scott you're the only other person I know that's crazy enough to try the 4" .500 S&W Magnum one handed with wood grips and 700 grain underwood ammo...
I did and got 1/2 inch tear on the webbing of my hand 🤕
I watched funny shoot a 500 magnum he said I don't want any more of that that was enough for me I'll take his advice
@@ouiroc the 4-in makes a big difference because it's so light, with 700 grain ammo it definitely stings even with the stock cushion grips.
Scott's marksmanship is unbelievable! 😵💫

Heh 😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bruh😆😆😆
that’s just outright badass. crazy strength after a strong recovery, love the content🤙🏽
Might be one of the most beautiful handguns I've ever seen. Also, the ammo alone could be its own form of art. Great video!
This is why Scott’s here. To shoot that which we cannot. Keep it up bro.
The level of marksmanship with that gun is remarkable.
This is by far one of the greatest vids ever. Not only did I love seeing the new gun in action but Oh my GOD! That cheese segment had me dying🤣🤣🤣 Great stuff Kentucky!👌🏼
The fact that you kept shooting it after that second shot is fucking insane. I'm mad jealous of those wrists 😭😭
That is absolutely the most insane pistol I’ve ever seen! I had a tc contender in 45-70 and absolutely loved it but ended up trading it to a friend. Awesome video I absolutely loved it
I have a 45-70 Derringer style pistol. It's honestly frightening to shoot
Man that thang packs a wallop! Super satisfying. Scott here is definitely one of my top favorite RUclipsrs. He is my favorite out of all the gun crew.
god a handgun that demands blood every time it fires is scary
That amount of power demands a sacrifice
@@pitbullnamedcupcake8485 Yeah
Like the legendary swords of old, once unscabbard it must draw blood.
Dude, that pistol is gorgeous! The recoil is insane, but the power, oh the power! 😆 Well done man!
yeah,i so gotta find one of those
There is another.

0.600 Nitro Express "Kodiak" revolver.
Gun store: So how big of a hand cannon are you looking for?
Scott: Yes.
"Yes" is not a proper answer to that question. Did you *ever* learn how to come up with proper answers to questions?

Scott seems like a fun guy to hang out with. Also, all the colors were a blast to watch.
I’m astonished at how much freedom can be packed into a gun
You get not only a like, but a comment for that one. Freedom on my free friends!
Just goes to show your level of expertise in this hobby. Goo on you Scott! Have fun and be safe!
I am entertained Scott, and am glad a table did not go unscathed in this episode. No way would I want to shoot a 500 nitro out of a hand gun. Glad to see you didn't break a wrist or lose teeth. Keep making episodes and we will keep watching.
"it's a pretty stupid concept...but I'd like to buy it." I relate to this quote more than you could imagine
Man, I love you guys, your edit with the pistol hand over was on point! Scott you're really crushing the game man!
I've heard of things like Minilitia Ranch, and the likes but I am a Canadian who loves Kentucky Ballistics!
After this I really want to see a video of Scott cleaning up the range, how he does it and how long it takes him.
The things you do for our entertainment Scott! Absolutely love the 500 nitro pistol!
One can only dream of a day when Scott gets a 600 nitro pistol. What a day that would be!
The chainsaw was epic 11:42
"For once my hand hurts a little bit°
That thing sure is monstrous!
I see you haven't lost your lust for ridiculously powerful break action guns 😂 keep being you Scott!
Me and the Missus watch all of your stuff Scott...funny as hell but at the same time totally entertaining and informative. Makes me appreciate what it must be like to live in a country where owning a fire arm, albeit with great responsibility etc, is a civil right and not a privilege as it is here, if at all.
Make Matt from Demo ranch shoot the 500 nitro
I like your impression of Matt(Demolition Ranch) shooting a Smith and Wesson .500 Magnum.
Love the nerf dart comparison, really lets you put the size in perspective
Might be one of the coolest weapons I've ever seen. Always had a thing for wildly impractical had cannons.
The sorta thing that'll hurt the user more than their enemy because whatever it's pointing at won't live long enough to feel the pain.
"It's a pretty stupid concept, but I want to buy it" - exactly what everyone seeing it is thinking 😮
You're a big guy, with a lot of shooting experience, and if you had a problem holding it...
now we just need a .50 BMG handgun and we're sorted
700 nitro handgun 😈😈😈
@@lucas_puncas250 does higher number mean more power
@@Adoredceramics no, but 700 nitro is 70. Cal while the bmg is 50 cal so the 700 nitro is more powerful
@@Adoredceramics but I’m not a gun person so maybe I’m wrong
@@tobyrix7082 if you're talking about that Serbu RM50, that's not what I mean. That Serbu is absolutely huge and also features a stock, you can't really carry it around too easily. I am talking about just a pistol/handgun juuust big enough to hold a .50 BMG, but also small enough/light enough so you can hold it with just one hand and not struggle too much because of the weight.
Hand Destroyer 5000 lmao
I love the 500 nitro pistol. My cousin had a couple Thompson contenders one in .223 and one in 7mm. I was always impressed with them. They are decked out with bipods and scopes. I would love to shoot that 500 pistol. Awesome video Scott.
Scott, you need to get a 500 Bushwhacker.
I second that motion! Can have a 500 Sw rechamberd to the Bushwacker and still shoot the 500 Sw in it.
