I'm not about to test this theory, but it kinda looks like you could stand in front of that and be relatively ok after.... And be able to claim you survived being shot with a .700 Nitro.
I was at a friend's gunsmith shop when a guy came in carrying a shotgun with about four inches of the barrel at the muzzle opened up flat and sticking out like a flag in a windstorm. He was asking about getting a poly-choke installed. When Chet asked him how he blew up the shotgun barrel, they guy said, "If you saw a fish in the water and wanted to shoot it, how would you do it?" He then went on to explain that he had stuck the muzzle about four inches into the water and shot, spectacularly rearranging his barrel. I asked what happened to the fish and he said he was so busy counting his fingers he forgot to check on the fish. Jess
Anyone else old enough to remember the lever action "pop" guns that just blew air? We used to stuff those into the dirt just like he does with the shot gun and suddenly we had a dirt gun! Later models of these "toys" had a metal bar through the muzzle to stop us from doing this, but they were easily modified and the dirt/rock wars continued! It was all fun and games and luckily no one I knew ever lost an eye!
Yep Although in my neck of the woods we actually played airsoft with BB guns. Every now and then you’d get the idiot that would pump the thing more than once.
I used to have one that shot out a cork. Had several actually. The cork on these pop guns sometimes were tethered to the end of the barrel with twine so you wouldn't lose it. Just stuff the cork in the end of the barrel, pump it, and *POP!* I believe IIRC they were single pump break action to pump them. This was in the early/mid '70s. Haven't seen those in a long, long time.
Really wanted to see him shoot the nitro in the obstructed barrel. Would've been cool to see if the extra compression from the obstructed barrel would've caused more burning of the powder.
@@tinkeringclaws5559 Agreed, but the problem is getting said barrel. H&R is no longer in business. Also, when they were in business, they refused to sell their barrels as a standalone part. I used to watch first FPS Russia and then demolition ranch a lot but since i discovered your channel, it became my favorite. The jokes, le madness, everything about this channel is great. So keep up the good work and Bonjour from France ! You have at least one sub here ^^

Even Scott is getting in on bagging on DUST! But I also think you stepped right over the first bullet, which I think is sitting in the tire track. That thing is damn good for $100.
The shotgun is a hundred?
now is it me, or did that shotgun of his fart when that 700 Nitro bullet fell out?
@@thesituation5315 yes, right around there
@@DrQuagmire1 I think it did

The gun still fires. No loss of functionality, 10/10 would recommend for anti-zombie wall trap.
Sawed off ?
I heard about the 50 accident while I was deployed. Didn’t know much of Scott until right before but I loved all of his content I had seen until that point. I’m glad to hear and see he’s doing a lot better and he’s one of the reasons I’ve gotten more into shooting including purchasing my first ever firearms
He’s a literal terminator and welcome home soldier ❤️
Huh. He isn’t doing anything for responsible gun ownership . Hope you don’t follow his stupid ways.
I should have said gun ownership. You are correct
@@kurtw176 while he doesn’t outright say or do anything for gun ownership he does follow things safely apart from one incident he couldn’t control. He has fun while respecting what firearms can do.
He is pushing the envelope to get views. He lives off of viewers at a great peril. I hope you have fun and enjoy your firearms responsibly. But first good luck finding ammunition. And purposely blowing up a firearm is not respectful at all. Be safe not sorry
Thought: Why don't you cut a 10 gauge hull and use it as a sleeve around the .700 nitro, and see if you can get compression that way? Maybe flip around a wadding and use it on the bullet as a reverse sabot.
Or use a Minnie ball
To late now unless he has a spare 10 ga barrel .
"Hello tauflederfolks!"
No compression because the bullet is smaller than the barrel . You can wrap the case with whatever thinkable it would be stiil the same pitiful nonsense. The 700 nitro is just a ClickBait. Dirt plug incidents are as old as shotguns.
@@ant1sokolow He could always try that 3D printed barrel insert like what Brandon Herrera did when putting .50 BMG in that shotgun. It’s still not full compression, but it necks a large portion of the barrel down to the desired caliber size and allows for more powder to burn.
I'm not in the market for a 10 gauge, but if I was...I know which brand I'd be buying. Great video.
This intro is amazing. Totally not poking fun at anyone from Detroit XD.
Keep up the awesome work!
12:26 that laugh reminds me of when you let your friends talk you into doing something dumb and extremely dangerous and it ends up being way cooler than anyone expected and way more destructive than anyone expected so keep doing what you're doing and God bless
I always find it scary how much damage the wadding of a shotgun shell can do.
i worked ER in college back in early 80's.. one of the first gunshot wounds had fiber wadding in the single wound hole (he was shot up close in the groin)
The grace and mobility that Scott tosses those tables around I swear its part of his physiotherapy after the accident lol
The table intro is a key feature in his vids. So glad SG sponsored him. Half of me watches his vids just to see what torture awaits the table 😂
Man, at first I thought you hadn't learned your lesson from the .50 BMG incident (not that it was your fault), but then I actually got to 4:20 and realized you were being super responsible with this test. Thank you for **not** putting yourself in harm's way just for the sake of our entertainment. Love your channel.
Day 13 of annoying Scott by asking for a sawed off elephant rifle of either caliber. Also, I’m glad “DUST” is finally being turned into a meme!
I support it 100%

The reason he probably hasn’t done that yet is because they are EXPENSIVE. A double rifle, because of their intricate action requiring a talented gunsmith to make, is $10,000+ for almost any caliber. With $35,000 being the cheapest 700 nitro you could find. (They are typically $80,000-$250,000)
It would require registration as an sbr.. nazis.... I suppose ge could chop it to 16" though
That `s Mike from Germany writing. As you probably know, most of weapons are forbidden for privat folk in our over-regulated country. But fortunately youtube provides us with clips from gun-addicted guys like you. A lot of them seem more or less crazy, but you definitely are the craziest off all! And man, I love you! I enjoy every of your videos! You `re not only competent, but funny and self-ironic as well. Thanks for brighten up my day! Keep it up!
You should've fired a 700 nitro round after clogging the 10 gauge, then shot the double ought buck. That would've been an interesting test.
I was thinking this exact thing!!
Didn't want to waste another $100 most likely
Would have liked to see him try putting a slug through it
Hey Scott..again, great video. This reminds me of a time years ago while hunting in So. Georgia and my Grandpa's 12 GA split the barrel when I launched one. Totally took us all by surprise, but luckily no one was hurt. I mainly felt bad for ruining my Grandpa's 12 GA..but he wasn't upset. Just glad us boys were all safe.. Keep up the great work Scott..Bill in Las Vegas.
A 700 nitro from a 10 gauge looks to hurt about as much as a paintball when shot with. Good to know.
I'm not about to test this theory, but it kinda looks like you could stand in front of that and be relatively ok after.... And be able to claim you survived being shot with a .700 Nitro.
@@imapopo2924 lol

@@imapopo2924 Agreed lol. A basic winter coat would probably keep you from feeling much of anything.
Water jug taking the .700 hit was like, is that all you got?
Here is your bullet back, try again
Jess
Sounds like said dude was a bit on the daft side.
@@marcussmart3275 yep. People like that are the reason some dummies are anti-gun lmao.
@@skrimper I think gun safety class should be taught to everyone. There's lots of basic concepts that are learned easily.
Yep
Although in my neck of the woods we actually played airsoft with BB guns.
Every now and then you’d get the idiot that would pump the thing more than once.
@@DD-sw1dd I had cap guns when I was a kid in the 2000s those were always fun
Sand and gravel.
Amazingly, all three brothers have our sight.
If you stuck the barrel in a puddle and cocked them you had one hell of a water gun. 30 feet easy, just a solid jet of water. Good times
It's always hard to see a gun get destroyed but this was one of the most entertaining videos you put out in a while for me
I'm buying one of these shotguns
Really wanted to see him shoot the nitro in the obstructed barrel. Would've been cool to see if the extra compression from the obstructed barrel would've caused more burning of the powder.
To be fair tho, those 700 rounds cost like $100 a pop so it’s probably why he didn’t shoot a third
@@southernbear736 thanks..I can now tell my wife that the AFR aluminum cylinder heads that I just spent $2,700 are cheaper than my gun habit..lol
A 3d printed sleeve would give it needed compression boost and it's brittle enough to fail after a certain point saving the gun from excessive damage.
Too slow of powder, probably exact same thing if not even more pitiful
@@travisweldmaster7815 I agree it may have been more pitiful! Honestly would've like to have seen both.
Love the D.U.S.T joke with Scooter.
The sound of the rattle as you put the .700 round in the 10 gauge very much suggested that our definition of 'fits perfectly' might be quite different
I imagine he meant for stupidities sake it fit lol
Kinda like 50 BMG fits in a12 gauge fits
Now that you have shot 700 Nitro out a 10 gauge shotgun, now you need to shoot 10 gauge shotgun shells out a 700 Nitro Express elephant gun.
As a collector/fan of H&R firearms, the end saddened me. As a fan of the channel, I was still entertained regardless. Keep up the good work Scott. 👍
I once had an H&R pardner bolt action 12 gauge .. loved that gun...
Eh a new barrel and itll shoot just fine again.
@@tinkeringclaws5559 Agreed, but the problem is getting said barrel. H&R is no longer in business. Also, when they were in business, they refused to sell their barrels as a standalone part. If you wanted a new one you either had to send your gun into them so it could be "fitted" to it, or get lucky enough to find one at a gun show.
@@JDTN1985 they are super simple to make. Literally just need a chunk of bar stock and 3/4 inch pipe and boom you got a new 12 gauge barrel.
A little Hoppe’s #9 and a soft patch and good as new. That was doubtless tested to higher standards than the factory, their Engineers are smiling awaiting their big raise. Thanks for sharing!! Cheers.
glad to see you happy and still doing this, your voice reminds me so much off sebastian bachs from skid row voice when he talk :D ( just positive vibes) thanks for another great video
Considering that the 700 case only bulged in one spot because of it not being the right size...
I'm both curious and terrified to know if it would fire properly if you made it fit snug in there 🤔
Yeah, wrap some electrical tape around the casing and that thing would’ve been a sniper
I wish that he had done the barrel obstruction with the 700. nitro… ;_(

Never thought I'd see a .700 NE fail to completely destroy something as breakable as a water jug. Guess there's a first time for everything.

That intro is amazing. Everyone is talking about a certain something. Scott doesn't need to. He does a skit. We all know the who. And it's hilarious.
Was fun, then the chair in the back closed it out. Yep, someone already has too much direct attention.
Hey Scott, I wish you could have tried clogging the barrel and trying the 700 Nitro in it first! But awesome stuff just the same!! I was laughing so hard at the water bottle fail I almost fell off the couch!! LOL Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!!!

That 700 nitro express in a 10 gauge was beyond uneventful... but I loved how it hit the water jug XD
I clicked on this so fast, I laughed harder than almost any other moment in any of your videos when the bullet came out an hit the water jug…. And it looks like to me an obstructed barrel on your 10 gauge is just helping with the ejection cycle… it self opens and ejects the spent casing now all you have to do is drop a new one in.👍👌
It's gonna be interesting to see how fast that bullet bouncing off the water jug becomes a meme.
