- Facing another identity crisis, Tag Back returns with an old...favorite? Old friend? Thing nobody cares about? Who knows. The Expand-a-blast is a blaster from 1998 that is pretty nifty with it's gimmick, but is otherwise literally a NItefinder...with the biggest plunger tube I've ever seen. Seriously. Massive. Why don't more people mod these things?

I like the Lock N Load, but I don't find the grip all that comfortable. And this blaster looks like it has the same exact pistol grip. Hmmm
You probably have manly hands. I don’t.
You make me wanna rip apart one of these, and single it with 16mm conduit, removing all the deadspace.
I really enjoy that handle style. Not just because "Oh man the lock n load!" since I've never even had one of those. But it's just nice. The big bad bow uses it as well. Maybe that's a well known thing I just think it's funny.
I still like the auto breach expand-a-blast that TripleB made in like 2009.

I would really like to get my hands on one of those and make it a mag-fed springer, just remove the barrel assembly and just make a custom one, and maybe tone down the spring (?) so I could use it like a marksman rifle - not painful at close range, but still throwing darts a ways.
and only 15 dollars! I might get one of my friends to get one for me, and maybe some supplies, for my birthday in may.

try to expand it while shooting so you get some added spring power to the dart.

Looking good :). Nightfinders are great, this looks better even just to steal the intervals.
The plunger is as big as a Titan Tank... that would be too evil to bring onto a battlefield if anyone swapped those out.

I seem to remember getting shot with one possibly at an old Nerf war? I know somebody had one that was breached like Nerf curators was. And I remember holding one that was still green like that, but I can't remember for sure cuz it was like my second war ever.

That plunger is huge....hmm...what can I do with one of those....*goes off and dreams of mods*
Simple idea. Make bars to go back to the plunger rod so when you pull the plunger Rod you open the breach. then when you release the plunger rod there's a spring that closes the breach. And put a Magwell on the bottom boom now it's better than a long shot.

Everything is a deploy...
If I were going to mod one of these, I would:
1. Remove the extending barrel/stock nonsense; it's great in theory but a failure in execution.
2. Rebarrel it Captain Xavier-style: modular! Make attachments to fire Demolisher rockets and a shotgun burst of 3-4 Elites. It's got that huge plunger tube, might as well make it WORK.
3. If possible, a spring upgrade. Might not be, though; finding springs might be tricky given the size of the plunger tube.
I dig it. The gimmick even if dumb the rifle pistol is something I love
I got this thing for $7 (with the ammo holder which is good for holding CPVC barrels if you use a coupler) and honestly I want my money back. you can't just shove a CPVC barrel into this and get killer ranges like the sharpshooter II for instance (I haven't removed the AR which seems to get in the way, but it gets about the same ranges as it does with mega darts normally), it has pretty terrible ergonomics on account of having an extremely heavy prime and a thin priming handle and it's not particularly easy or that worthwhile to mod.
Honestly I wish I remembered your video on it..
If you put a brass breech you could give the barrel a return spring for when you put the handle back into position
Give it to the captain, see if takes a k26. Hack of the front and absolve a sledgefire shell on it. Paint one half purple and call it two-face. Integrate it with a deploy for additional expanding wackiness. Give it a double mastodon masterkey. Other than that..no idea

Pretty cool. I always get this and the Lock n' Load confused in my mind. It is a shame that the stock doesn't lock when deployed. I think a breeched and minimized version would be pretty cool.
Now I want to get one of these, coupler it and minimise it. Thanks Walcom, another thing I need to buy. Lol.
