WalcomS7 Either way, I'm kinda surprised to discover that the switch shot has a direct plunger system inside. Makes me wanna visit my local thrift store and see what I can get.

Evan Prowse Any time they are those ring pull-back blasters they are direct plungered. Though apparently the Firefly is a direct plunger as well, which I have yet to see with my own eyes...

1. Mod this thing with typical Nite Finder mods.
2. Strap onto a glove.
3. Add some trigger mechanism to release catch (for instance, a wire with the end bent into a ring to put your finger through.
4. Dress up as Boba/Jango Fett.

I put a party popper spring in one when I was a kid; I don’t believe I’ve (personally) seen modded performance like that before or since. I vowed never to use it for anything but educational purposes, for fear of internals exploding from frivolous use, not to mention fear of my opponents exploding as well

i enjoyed the nerf game but only because i was poorly introduced to technology wiyh plug and play stuff and thought the wii was magic

The blasters in the game were really cool and it has ok gameplay. The thing I remember most is that when selecting an option (i.e. selecting the game type) it would fire a sticky dart and it was pretty fun.

What I like about my Switch Shot is that it has a near perfect air seal. I don't know if that is common with these blasters or I just got a gem, but I have been thinking about modding mine for a while.
I own the switch shot and it was the second blaster I ever modded. Obviously the Maverick was the first. I added a spring from a buzz bee over under style blaster and removed the air restrict or plugged the air real ease hole and also decided to remove the dart tooth so I can shoot any darts. It hits quite hard. I also made a adaptor that allows it to shoot air soft bbs extremely hard and even q-tips if u really wanted to.
That gun is what got me into nerf. The second game.

Never played the sequel but the first Nerf game on the Wii is actually a game I greatly enjoy. And the blaster was useful and made aiming much easier and it didn't hurt your qrist unlike just holding a wiimote up did after awhile.

I drilled out the air restrictors entirely, lubed the o-ring, and double springed it with two switch shot springs. Hits like a tank now

I got the first game for my birthday one year. Mine was some special edition that got an extra Switch Shot, and I think an extra vulcan belt with 25 darts to go with it. The game itself was alright, definitely fun for a while, and was actually challenging for some time. There were blasters in there that were made into real blasters, and some that weren't (Still waiting for that semper-fire minigun!)
It was an interesting game, and is definitely worth a try, but I wouldn't go out of my way looking for it.

If I ever get 10+ of those, I might modify a Battlescout and make custom Battlescout-style clips so the firing mechanism is in the clip. Either that or do it with some other blaster (Nite Finder EX-3 or Firestrike).
As a Wii blaster, it's actually one of the most comfortable... PLUS you can attach a handle grip on the bottom rail and it feels like a Mini Uzi!!!
For an arcade style shooter, the Nerf N-Strike game is fun with a collection of 22 I think blasters based of both real and fictional blasters. You start in a chamber were you are told about your opponent’s skills and score for each door they control. While not super realistic as far as aiming with the blasters it does make you feel what reloading is like with certain weapons. The reload button it a wee bit hard to tap when playing as it’s the A button and that sits a but under the rear cage. All in all it really is a fun game. While I haven’t beaten it yet I have lost a few hours playing it.

If you several of them, you could perhaps rebarrel one for Megas, one for Rival rounds, and then carry the blaster and the mechanisms and swap out as necessary.

I just picked up one of these in a bundle, I had a spare spring after modding my Ultra Pharaoh and a little bit of a snip later.. dual spring it… it certainly improved the range and power.
I custom painted this thing into a post apocalyptic nuclear-toxin pistol.

I got a yellow Switch Shot EX-3 at a jumble sale for almost nothing. It gets pretty good ranges, love the sound it makes when it fires and using it with the Heartbreaker Bow ammo holder ... making it not too bad a secondary :)
I put a couple of much stronger springs in one I found for $2 at Goodwill, and it's highly amusing watching people react to how hard it shoots compared with how mundane it looks.

I have nearly a dozen of the yellow ones, new in box. I've listed them on ebay a couple of times, found no buyers. When I bought them I thought I might make the chambers into a belt, and then build something to feed & fire that belt. After more consideration, I decided I just didn't care enough to do it.

I liked the pun.
I would imagine the switch shot would make for easy integrations with other blasters. hell, you could probably modify it and put a reverse tactical rail on it, and maybe try to rebarrel it for a mega shot.
I would put a rail on top, buy one of those 3d- printed rail-to-rail adapters and make my own custom trigger mech
I wonder how hard it would be to jank this onto the mandalorian vambrace blaster or even make a last resort shoulder blaster out of it...

It would be cool if on a nerf game if this was used then if you used the wiimote on it then maybe you could act like its a laser gun that does a lotta damage but shoots really slow.

I have this blaster and never got the game, I forgot about the game. I watched this video wondering why the heck this nerf gun exists, now I know, lol.
hmm..honestly I'm thinking of a wrist mounted blaster like the Spider-Man and Venom ones only you can do a kinda Assassin's Creed wire pull ring kinda thing for it. Then again I have a strange fascination with the idea of a working wrist mounted crossbow..so..yeah.
