I love the detail that when Marcus visits Grayson's grave, he can't bring himself to metaphorically look her in the eye, knowing that it was his fault that she was killed. He doesn't look up at the statue until his daughter asks him who the statue is for.
@@Nighlocktheawesome00 fr, the scene in one of the first 3 episodes of arcane, you can tell Marcus did a deal with silico but felt very guilty as soon as he saw Grayson’s death
She has one of the best voices in the business. It HAS to be up there with the legendary likes of Kevin Michael Richardson, Tony Todd, Keith David, and Fred Tatasciore.
@h6hfelie Fr you close your eyes and definitely hear a woman speaking, while some higher pitched voices can be more unisex than hers. Interesting isn’t it?
Grayson is pretty much a side character but she fits with the world-building and other characters SO well that her presence is organic and solid. A whole 5 minutes of presence and I felt gut-punched she died. The writing for this show... Man I'm due for a rewatch.
She’s soo interesting like its soo easy to see her as just another enforcer who’s oppressing the Undercity but she genuinely wants better for it, and is just doing her job. She’s conflicted doing alot the things she does but genuinely thinks it could make things better
Exactly my thoughts and I like to think that with Grayson’s presence, Caitlyn aimed to become like Grayson by her own will and not her parents pressuring her.
blast from the archive is seeing how caitlyn investigated it! > basically in LOL there was an event where you could see things from during timeskip one being graysons death file and caitlyn reaching it
I was so upset she wasn't the VA for Renata Glasc. Like, it fits PERFECTLY. Imagine Renata having this voice instead. Oh my god, I seriously would've played her JUST for the voice acting.
@maxencejaunarena9773 He was too zealous and reckless. He acts like a rookie. Given the short timeskip between the opening scene and our first look at Piltover, I imagine he might've joined the enforcers in the aftermath of the last rebellion. Maybe he lost someone close to him during the conflict, because obviously the violence wouldn't have ended after the Zaunites were thrown back at the bridge.
So I knew Grayson was familiar and it wasn't until I was rewatching some episodes of House and she was an artist that tried to set herself on fire. Her voice is so distinct, I love it
Almost forgot about that episode, there was also an episode with Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heatwave in Arrowverse) who was a patient's husband. Some great actors had almost throwaway or one-off episodes that make you forget they were there and see the actor somewhere else and then go; "I've seen them before"
I wish she survived I feel like more could of been done with here character but alas… I suppose it wasn’t meant to be. She’ll always be one of my fav characters.
Was expecting her to become like a Lin Beifong-esque character, but alas. So disappointing that she got axed, Shohreh Aghdashloo's voice is just golden and I need more of it! (Also, getting big Baby Gay and Older Mentor Lesbian vibes between her and Cait. Wish that could be explored some more.)
I’m really sad that she died, but also in a weird way I’m happy? The show really wasn’t pulling any punches, and it’s amazing how they made us like these side characters so quickly and give them proper personalities in so little episodes. I’m looking forward to season 2
Shohrehs voice always gives me shivers whenever I hear it! It's so distinct I knew who was playing Grayson the moment I heard it lol. Such a great actress and voice actress love her.❤
Love the detail of how she was played, compared to Undersecretary Chrisjen Avasarala both women were in positions of power and knew how to manipulate tose around them (to different degrees) and didn't mind speaking their mind to let those know what they thought. She and Vander were the best outside of Vi & Caitlyn because they knew who and what they were fighting for, Grayson and Caitlyn were kind and kne not to push because they didn't want to force an issue that could ruin everything while Vander and Violet both sought to act tough while also knowing there were innocents on the sidelines that they didn't want to risk and it's nice to see the parallels with the girls and their mentors because it showed how they were subtly influenced and acted to effectively mirror their mindset. The line with Grayson telling Caitlyn; "knowing how to handle it (the rifle) means knowing how to protect people" and you can see this every time Caitlyn uses it as she's very careful to hit her mark instead of letting someone else get caught in the crossfire
Both are the spitting image of their teachers, and now they stand united :') Which is what their mentors wanted in the first place. Sadly, they wouldn't be able to see them and their growth..
I feel really bad for caitlyn. Chief of the enforcers Grayson was the ONLY person who treated catilyn for who she is as another human being. Her whole life, she grew up with people doubting her abilities and forced her to be couped up beside or near her families because they're people of power. In a way, grayson is caitlyn's parental figure. Its really sad we lost her so soon.
Grayson was there for her to push her in the right direction, though sadly she was gone before Cait could show her true potential. I feel like Cait would have been like every other Piltie had it not been for Grayson's guidance.
I love Grayson, but I get why she “had” to die at some point (tho not so early) she symbolised the potential that basically all the most powerful characters COULD have, but CHOSE not to spend. She was the compromise, the diplomacy and the “one” person with authority who showed humanity to PEOPLE regardless of their origins. She fought to prevent a war between nations to achieve peace, while all the other political figures fought to prepare for a war to achieve victory for themselves and their cause. Unlike most characters Grayson thought about the consequences of the pawns and not about the benefits of the players, a path which she, like, Marcus and any other corruptible person could’ve chosen for her own benefit BUT didn’t because she is genuinely a caring person. All that symbolism led to her death, because once the audience saw all her motivations and actions beforehand, we automatically knew that this meant the war WAS starting despite some “heroic” wishes. She was basically the lamb that was offered to slaughter and with her gone the force that kept apart Zaun from Piltover no longer held the nations back from each other. (I love analysing characters, okay?!)
IMO, Vi is going to be the next Grayson in season 2 and beyond. An enforcer with connections in Zaun. Hopefully with lots of connections that comes with some genuine respect; essentially making herself feel at home again despite the gangs and shimmer.

Man she has such a recognizable voice
Vander and Grayson were the only one's keeping the peace between Piltover and Zaun. Without them, the people are going to run out of control.
And thus, ZAUN was formed - all because of the perpetrator, Silco
Grayson's voice reminds me of the voice in the Assassins creed Mirage trailer. Very unique voice.
