1st, forces Caitlyn to create an extreme opposition against Jinx
2nd, quickly increases the speed at which VIktor draws near his full "Glorious Evolution" self.
That's a theory, tho

People not realizing that Caitlyn is a perfect reflection of her mom Cassandra, other than the loooks they are very similar about compassion, being a thinker, and being investigative. That is why they always argue, and that is why they clashed. You can't keep them in the same room together. And that's what Caitlyn realized also in the end.
