It may seem like she's holding back on Cait but she has to deal with Mel's attacks and defenses simultaneously, so she can't beat just Cait nonstop. at 2:40 you can clearly see how proud Abessa is of her daughter, and how much she loved her. This death scene was so powerful and heartbreaking. Abessa was many things but no matter what she always a mother who wanted what was best for her children. She was willing to be the villain if it meant Mel became her most powerful and wise self, after all she told Caitlyn "I have found a fourth virtue, Sacrifice.". I loved Ambessa and her character was so well written.
The best detail is how the moment before this, instead of shielding Cait from maddie's shot, Mel put a shield around maddie instead to guarantee her bullet would definitely ricochet back at her because the shield is a sphere 😂
and if you look at it closely, she didn't reflect the bullet back. no, she completely changed the bullet's trajectory so it would drive into maddie's head. instant death. mel came in mad as hell 😭

It’s amazing to see that, in the finale of this series, the women displayed brute strength and force in combat. Meanwhile, the men, Jayce and Victor, clashed over conflicting ideologies, emotions, and trust-a dynamic rarely depicted in mainstream media or shows. This boldly challenges gender norms, showcasing that women can be both strong and cunning, while men can exhibit emotional and intellectual depth. Arcane truly is an unforgettable experience!
rare? that's like everything in the media nowadays. Women = physically stronk and Men = something else. It's way too much. Arcane doesn't even have a single pretty character.
I do appreciate the fact at how stunned caitlyn seems to be when she takes blows from Ambessa primarily at 0:44 . Are gasps and cries go a long way to show shes still rather inexperienced in H2H when against someone like Ambessa.
Which is very in line with her as a character in LoL since she's a long range character. Would have been epid to see her fight Ambessa with Vi, the actual Melee and her in her element with a long range rifle tho
We really don't need to know the rest of the surviving character's lives. Jinx starts a new life or dies depending on interpretation, Cait, Ekko, and Vi move on from Jinx and presumably have a better future with Piltover and Zaun's relations on the upswing, Mel moves on from Piltover and comes into their own, Singed makes great progress with his daughter. I love how Ambessa ended up dying by her two daughters applying the lessons she taught them (yes I think she saw Cait as a daughter). Cait learned the sacrifice and Mel learned to be a wolf. You can even see a subtle smile when she looks at Mel in her final sentence. And Ambessa didn't learn from Cait though since she literally went for "too much force exposes you to risk", by forcing the knife on Cait she let her take off the runes. I love how all those lessons showed up in a freaking good fight.
It's funny she kind of respects it. Especially given she was going to give Caitlyn about as petty and dishonorable a death as she could think, even after everything.
Noxus culture is about at times actions speaking louder than words. Caitlyn may be her enemy, but her going for the jab and challenging Ambessa even with a stab wound is something to respect.
i couldn't help but notice the comparison between the major blows cait and mel took from ambessa. cait got a full-blown roundhouse kick to the head while mel just got kneed in the stomach. the amount of control ambessa had to not maim her daughter
i love the detail that the soldiers slam down their spears and lower their heads. they acknowledge their leader is dead and the duel has concluded they lower their heads both as a sign of mourning and a sign of them acknowledging mel as their new leader
Even this scene felt so bitter sweet in the end, like, yes, they won, but at what cost? Cait lost her eye and Mel lost her mom. I love how tragic this show can be even in moments of victory. And the way Ambessa seems so proud of Mel even after she’s killed her reminds me so much of Silco and Jinx, with the ‘you’re perfect’ scene; I really think this is Ambessa’s version of that
Just seeing the fight, you can tell Ambessa is putting more power into her shots on Caitlyn, but seems more restrained with her daughter. Like she was hoping to put Caitlyn away early enough to give her time to reason with Mel or if that fails, to take her alive.
"Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?" Kinda funny what both seasons ends with a daughter killing her parent. Damn, even Jinx almost does this again by killing Vander (well, what was left from him).
This scene alone where she agrees to a 1v2 without breaking a sweat shows that Ambessa was a war beast and a vet of countless conflicts, it was her nature. Quoting Temari from Naruto, they were a hundred years to young for this fight
Mel stepping through the void and pulling the chains further into her is one of the coldest moments in the show. To end it with “I see your face, deceiver” puts her as one of my favorite mage characters in all of fiction. Mel played her mom, an experienced and battle-hardened warrior, and LeBlanc, the master of manipulation and illusion, in one move. Mel is going to own the world and I’m so here for it. 🖤💛

Caitlyn Took a real hard beating here, the fact she got up everytime she got knocked down is something no ons really talks about. My girl needs a lot of rest.

For me, the most expressive eyes of the show were Cait's eyes. Beautiful. And that look at the end of season 2... Disconcerting, Worried, makes me think a lot
exactly
at 2:40 you can clearly see how proud Abessa is of her daughter, and how much she loved her. I loved Ambessa and her character was so well written.

in order to be mad you'd have to be alive LMFAO 😭 (i know ur joking)
@ ha, I’d cuss them out in my last breath as I collapse. “Bitches” *dies*
Those guards are the most disciplined soldiers....pretty they are trained to obey commands and set aside their petty emotions
Complete and udder pettiness and you KNOW you can’t do shit cause Ambessa would post pone the fight to personally kick your ass
@fluffybunny6402 so disciplined they LET ZAUN RAID PILTOVER MORE THAN ONCE??? like 😭
The best detail is how the moment before this, instead of shielding Cait from maddie's shot, Mel put a shield around maddie instead to guarantee her bullet would definitely ricochet back at her because the shield is a sphere 😂
and if you look at it closely, she didn't reflect the bullet back. no, she completely changed the bullet's trajectory so it would drive into maddie's head. instant death. mel came in mad as hell 😭
As she should! Maddie was trifling as hell
0:18 The moment from the kick onwards to her donning her mask with the orchestral strings swelling is so badass. It’s like a display of Noxian strength and might
Indeed. And Ambessa is making it clear that she needs no weapon to kill Cait and takedown Mel. Just her hands and anything to even the playing field.

At least she will be able to keep pace with Vi when they train now
Which is very in line with her as a character in LoL since she's a long range character. Would have been epid to see her fight Ambessa with Vi, the actual Melee and her in her element with a long range rifle tho
@@jhervis_I would’ve love to see vi versus ambessa, even though I’m certain Ambessa would absolutely deck vi without the gauntlets.
They should've shown us so much more and they left us with so many unanswered questions... This show deserves more than two seasons...
Everyone get's a definitive ending to their stories.
@TheMojoWorks Not really. They all just get a bad ending. There is still more to tell in Arcane, sadly...
This finale had me on the edge of my seat the entire episode

@@AleksandraSetsumeiWTF?

Imagine how hard Ambessa threw that spear if it managed to pierce through that soldier's armour AFTER it had been deflected by the magic barrier
No joke, remember that in episode 1 Noxian soldiers threw spear and pierce those chembaron minion like butter while guns are useless.
@@blackjk1234in defense noxian weapons are also heavier than bullet. Piltovers rifles are made to keep the peace not for war so their bullet pen isn’t that high. If they made proper piercing ammo I’m sure would’ve succeeded in getting through.

i Fcking love how ambessa gets trapped IMMEDIATELY. this magic is so freaking cool
This whole sequence was fantastic. Ambessa's incredible to watch, and Caitlyn fighting her so desperately and intelligently, knowing she can't afford to lose and just what it's going to cost to win, just shines. Cool moment for Mel too, though nothing tops her giving Maddie the ol' snowglobe of death treatment.
Caitlyn really is _SO_ lucky that Mel kept using her abilities to shield her.
Crazy how Caitlyn would have been dead in the first seconds of the "fight" if Mel wouldn't be there. Really tells you how powerful Ambessa was.

@@reimisiayes, she lost her eye.
Cait pulls out the knife from her gut, takes the blade to her eye, and cuts off the talismans. Her sacrifice play is next level.
Cait is crazy for even being able to stand up during all that.
Ambessa is absolutely terrifying and this was without her main weapons
Gotta hand it to Caitlyn she held herself well in a close range combat against ambessa despite her being a sniper (mostly)
And injured! She's carrying a push knife in her side this whole time
She didn't tho. In a 1 v 1, she wouldn't have even touched Ambessa

I like that ambessa wasn't even annoyed at that sucker punch lol
And the way Ambessa seems so proud of Mel even after she’s killed her reminds me so much of Silco and Jinx, with the ‘you’re perfect’ scene; I really think this is Ambessa’s version of that
I have to appreciate Cait‘s grit. Not letting a little thing like a knife in the gut keep her from fighting a seasoned warrior.
This fight was absolutely crazy
God so much foreshadowing with Caits eye and even in this fight Ambessas first throw the camera zooms in right on the eye she loses lol
Just seeing the fight, you can tell Ambessa is putting more power into her shots on Caitlyn, but seems more restrained with her daughter. Like she was hoping to put Caitlyn away early enough to give her time to reason with Mel or if that fails, to take her alive.
Cait be like "Fuck your monologue, who do you think you are, a comic book villain?!"
Ambessa is a fucking UNIT.
"Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?"
Kinda funny what both seasons ends with a daughter killing her parent.
Damn, even Jinx almost does this again by killing Vander (well, what was left from him).
2:36 Crows. Swain is watching.
Ambessa has never hurt Mel so much as a scratch, even in battle, because she is her mother.
The fact that Ambessa is 2v1'ing Cait and Mel is crazy, just like how she can easily do it ingame as well 💀
This scene alone where she agrees to a 1v2 without breaking a sweat shows that Ambessa was a war beast and a vet of countless conflicts, it was her nature. Quoting Temari from Naruto, they were a hundred years to young for this fight
I seriously thought that Cait would die there, damn girl i was so worried
0:46 That backhand slap from Ambessa went so hard I thought I got slapped
Ambessa was really dog walking them until Caitlyn took her amulets. Like she really beat Caitlyn and Mel six ways to Sunday 😂
