The Z-drive is made from inversions of Jayce's acceleration rune. In all other timelines, Ekko is either stuck in the alternate universe, or is unable to build the device capable of damaging Viktor. Whatever the so-called straight bromance or the confused and blurred queerness, whatever you call it and whatever was happening between these two at the beginning, I loved their relationship between both of them. The connection they had and made me ship them together before realizing they were actually more than "partners", but soulmates. And seeing that no matter in which reality or universe they were, they always find each other. And I think there is a beauty and tenderness in Viktor and Jayce's relationship 🥺😭 I loved seeing them being together, supporting and caring for each other until the end 😭🥺🫂 The ending broke me, but for them it was the most beautiful one
Yup, I rewatched and it made me feel awful. We also see in the end scene of season 2 that Cait looks at the details of the hexgates and Jayce is the only one credited…makes me think that all of Viktor’s involvement in Piltover was scrapped…I just can’t with this show, makes me so emotional.

I know they aren't cannon, but I don't see how you can interpret this relationship as anything but romantic.
arcane is cannon and they aren't in a romantic relationship according to christian linke.
obviously you, and everyone else, can interpret the show however you want. i (along with the co-creator of the show) just see them as very close humans, who have a non-romantic/sexual connection.
I guess the point here is your soul mate(the person you have the deepest connection with) isn’t always your sexual partner. This is true for most relationships in real life too. Unfortunately, conventional media and society tells us that your soul mate has to be your sexual partner.
Honestly there isn't many in mainstream media that actually managed to show couple in a sexual relationship that ALSO have the same depth of of bond as jayce and viktor. A lot ended up as run of the mill couple with either one of them lacking significance or characterization that affected the story's plotline
There are however a lot of brotherhood and friendship bond shown in mainstream media. Especially for same sex characters
Theres no such thing as a soul mate, u can be best friends/lovers with anyone for your whole life as long as both are willing to make it work, to communicate with eachother when the other is upset and work on it
