I'm just glad they made clear the Alt-Time line Echo was fine at the end, if it turned out that Echo would have unintentionally also basically killed his counterpart (and likely traumatized the Alt-Powder all over again) would have made this all the worse for me.
That's the silverlining in this episode, at least we know in one timeline, things go right for Piltover and Zaun. Wonder what happened to Singe tho, that guy is too unhinge to stop what he's doing for his daughter, he may even straight up immegrated to Noxus in this timeline.

Go back and rewatch the Stanwick scene. Heimer talks about how his old friend Stanwick realized his own contributions couldn’t compare to those of his students and sacrificed everything for them and the future. Heimer then ends up doing the same here
And for real this time. At the beginning of the show he thought he was making a difference just by overseeing the academy which technically was working to improve the world (but ultimately not being much use until Hex-Tech). Then he realises he went wrong with Jayce and Victor, so refuses to have the same hands off approach with Ekko and finally actually living up the ideal he had been trying to uphold for centuries.
@@Aceroragua I'm fairly certain at this point that Arcane is set in an alternate universe. Yordles are immortal, yes, but they are also viewed with fear in places like Piltover & Zaun in the current lore of Runeterra, requiring glamour magics to operate there unperturbed, unlike the show, where we see several in their normal Yordle forms, all operating with impunity. Also, many other inconsistencies with the mainline universe, such as Warwick looking and acting differently (his fate is also sealed in the show, whereas he's still very much alive in current lore, as shown by the Ekko game that came out a short while back), Caitlyn being a pirate, and Ambessa being dead. Unless the mainline game makes some major, MAJOR changes to its lore, there is simply too much changed by Arcane to maintain the core of the characters and the status quo of the narrative.
@@SlugRiot They said that after season 1 dropped. Season 2 deviated far too much from the bountiful lore sourced from LoR to stand the test. I'll believe that when they say it again.

I think he loves Powder and not Jinx. Powder is sweet, loving, and always tries to help others to the best of her ability. Jinx is violent & selfish. I think he saved Jinx to save the small peice of Powder buried deep within her.
@@the_best_username My read on it is that Ekko realizes that Jinx is Powder, no matter how Jinx tries to deny that part of herself. There were instances during this season where she does help others while putting herself at risk (mostly w/ Isha but she does save Caitlyn against Rictus). She has the capacity to be that better person and that's how he gets through to her in the finale imo.
this scene had me sobbing literally immediately and even now i tear up, I know lore wise yordles can't die but since nothing was mentioned of this again in the show it just feels like he's supposed to be dead 😭😭
The implication from Ekko. Is that heimerdinger also was in the body of the original from the alternate reality. Which means that heimer died the moment the future heimer embodied him. Since future heimer died before ever going back. So Heimer died twice... sad.
It’s a shame Heimerdinger never gets brought up after this. There could’ve been a great scene between Ekko and Jayce talking about what happened in both the timelines and Heimerdinger’s sacrifice. 😭
In the final scene after the battle where people write (maybe) a name of the dead on a piece of paper then burn it, Ekko seems to write one separately as well. I assume it was Heimerdinger because Ekko is the only one who knows about Heimerdinger's 'death'.
Because he got sent back to Bandle City in the Spirit Realm and has to return through a portal, then make his way back to Piltover. That's not going to be a quick process, but with Hexgates and all being around now he'll probably manage it in a few weeks. Unfortunately that's a bit far after the end of the show.

Dying in physical form but his spirit will return to bandle tree and reincarnated again in Bandle city. Home of all Yordle kind. There are three way to kill Yordle for real. Drain them of their spiritual energies. (Demon usually known for draining other being energy) Completely destroyed their spirit (Void monsters have ability to destroy spirit completely) Destroy Bandle city and Bandle tree. (Mordekaiser and some Darkin attempt to do this once)
Since Ekko's body is there after the wild rune shows up, there are two things that could happen. A) Heimerdinger got sent spinning through the multiverse. B) He merged with that universe's Heimerdinger. C) [Unlikely] His existence got fully wiped by being split across multiple dimensions and he's now just... gone.
bro I just liking Heimer arc tho, but hey Lol geeks are saying that he’s alive lore wise. He just respawn again. RIOT pls explore yordle world a miniseries perhaps 🤔
This reminds me of that Avengers Endgame scene where Fat Thor returns to the past and Freya recognizes him saying how bad the future must have been to him. Maybe Powder also felt the same about Prime Ekko who appeared to have lived a tough life and fate.
Riot can barely even decide what yordles are, half thing they are immoral beings from bandle city the other half treat them like they are a normal race in the world.
Thats not why Heimerdinger sacrificed himself, he did it to split Ekko so that he'd get to live in the perfect world and return to the OG timeline, you see him notice the various items getting zapped out of existence, the time loop diagram with the 2 humans, that very obvious goodbye speech. Heimerdinger had worked out what Powder and Ekko had missed that to return that timelines Ekko needed a equivalent mass to be left behind so thats what he did and everyones missed it
