I disagree. Its better that its not following Lelouch as the protag because he already fulfilled his purpose on the story.
Him not being physically present but bringing massive change to the world keeps his sacrifice effective and powerful.

@@bahsineamine5670That twist at the end was insane I’m thinking that he was a Britannian soldier before everything went down and then they just so happened to come across each other and then she used her Geass on him and at this point, Lelouch is probably not going to appear at all and it is what it is honestly, maybe it’s better for the story as a whole but what they could also do if they haven’t thought of it already is come up with an alternate storyline for Suzaku continuing his reign as Zero or something, maybe that would be interesting of course though that would take place before resurrection so maybe that wouldn’t work just a thought though.

for me the story of Lelouch ended at R2. the rest is all trash.
I respect your opinion on that, they definitely could’ve just ended it all after that but they didn’t because they thought there was still more to the story that could be contributed I guess which makes sense and I don’t blame the creators for.

@@NotHunter23 it's hard to do follow up to Lelouch, his setting, the world on the brink of conquest by the HBE, creates a larger than life character. A problem that is prevalent in sequels in a series with such characters. Compare Code Geass to say Gundam UC series, Amuro Ray isn't tied everything so that every character in the sequels doesn't have to be in Amuro's shadow.

The original does not require a sequel. What was the point of Lelouch's sacrifice if wars started again in the end? Yes, I know it's an alternate universe, but the ending was the same as in the series. Lelouch of Resurrection was awful, so I don’t think this new series will be better. And I still hate this 3d knightmares. Although there was 3d in the original anime, it was used competently and in a minimal way.
OG CG always had an opened ended ending anyway, you cant change the clear indication of code activating when Nunally touches him at the end.
@@Fyt11089 Perhaps, but it still doesn't make sense to talk about a world in which all wars have ended. Therefore, the creators invent new conflicts, thereby contradicting the ending of the series. In addition, an open ending is another reason not to continue, since everyone will make a conclusion for themselves.
