Surprised that the '75 Topps Ryan PSA 9 isn't listed. I see the 8.5 but a 75 Ryan PSA 9 just sold on ebay for somewhere in the $8400+ range. It might still be there in the completed listings section and perhaps sold after this video was uploaded..
Great info - thanks for sharing. BTW, your website has issues - check the links at the bottom of the page, as they are erroring out. Just thought I'd let you know...Take care, and God bless!
lol someone bought an 87 Nolan for $123 bc PSA slapped a 10 on it. Whether PSA puts a 9 or 10 on a given card has more to do with the mood of the grader and whether the submitter is a big customer than it has to do with any actual attribute of the card
Also, everyone I know who submits cards strategizes their orders…people know if you submit 10 cards, even if perfect, PSA will not give you 10 Gems. So they strategize by including cards they would be happy to receive a 9 or even 8. If PSA was truly grading the card alone, this type of strategy would not be necessary. Is it about the condition of the card, or is it about how many other Gems they’d already given that customer? We know the answer. So what does a 10 versus a 9 really mean? Nothing.
I used to think that but realistically Ryan's not the GOAT but he's certainly in the Top 20. He holds the All-Time record for most career walks so that excludes him from being the GOAT. But the 5,714 K's and 7 No-no's won't ever be surpassed and he's still my All-time favorite pitcher ever and there won't ever be another like him..
All are fun cards!
