    The most valuable card I ever had was a 1960s Mickey Mantle card worth about 375-450 bucks in 1987. I traded it as a kid to a kid at school for a switch blade knife, a Darth Vader toy, and a silk Guns n Roses poster. He traded it for a 4 wheeler. Idk what happened after that. Ithad been my dad's card before that and he was sick to his stomach that I traded it. I was a silly kid.

Hey the card market might catch up to the comic book market. I still find it strange that there are hardly any people at card shows and going to any comic con is like a special event. And the one in New York and in California comic book shows are bigger than the Super Bowl.🥳🥳🥳

Let's get real, if you spend time watching youtube videos (myself included) let's not act like you have this great life and a ton going on to where you are so inconvenienced by a 26 minute video that would be a 21 minute video had he not shown the screen shots. Be honest, 5 minutes of either of our time, we'll get over it and wouldn't be doing anything of importance with those 5 extra minutes anyway!

    Question. My gf's grandpa who passed had a TON of unopened full trading card boxes. 3 are 93 upper deck sp. I went through one and found not 1 but 2 of those jeter cards. What should I do with them as far as getting them appraised and/or sold??

    • @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR
      @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR  2 года назад +1

      I would def send them in to be graded. I wouldn’t open any more boxes Bc they sell for buy money factory sealed. If you need money now I would consider selling the boxes factory sealed on eBay.

    People. Please realize this. PSA is not giving out 10’a. So these prices are great and all but no way in hell a direct reflection of real value. You are paying for the rarity . Not the name. This is a guess . But I believe there has to be at least 250k of the Nolan Ryan 5000k . And there is only 12 PSA 10 in existence? Wow. You could open an entire case right in front of PSA grading and they would give you an 8. The only ones getting 10’s are the connected people. I don’t trust it. And furthermore PSA is grading these cards themselves. Then list the cards with the high values for the 10’s and it gives people hope they can get a 2000 card if they have to send in for grading . I had 10 89 upper deck Griffey’s. Flawless. I mean right out of of packs. And they gave me 8’s and 7’s

      yea its unfair and I figured out theyre controlling the market now. which is BS. because I also too have 40 of the cards on this list and 100+ more of others all literally taken out of a brand new pack and directly put into sleeves so theres no possible way you can tell me theyre are not 10's. theyre perfectly centered, no marks or nicks or anything or bad blotchy photos etc. but I know what theyre doing. if I send these in they will take them keep them mark them 10 and sell them then switch mine out for "close good ones" and mark 8 or 9. not only that but they themselves can go on ebay buy great looking cards for 5 or 10 bucks slap a 10 psa slab on and then go sell for thousands. they are giving 10s to themselves only and close friends or businesses that pay them thousands upon thousands of dollars to do this for them. there is def an inner circle controlling this. also I have seen quite a few 10's that I can clearly see marks and not perfect corners and I ask myself well how do I have a 7 when mine is 10x better looking that what im seeing marked as a 10 here????????????

      Just because it's a fresh pack doesn't mean it's a ten. I recently opened some packs and most had damage/flaws straight out of the packs. The printing process, packaging process, and shipping and handling after 30 years all make a difference. I hope they are honest and legit. It may be a good idea to go through a dealer if they aren't or take really good photos of all your cards before you send them in. Eventually, people could build a class action lawsuit.

    • @HandsomeJelly

      @@user-ej1gj5ue9vI think you're the one here who gets it. I've never had a card graded but I have hundreds of the cards with value from the 80"s-90's, pulled from packs and put right into sleeves. I look through those cards in sleeves now and most wouldn't have a chance at a 10. At least half of em would lose points for centering alone.

    • @HandsomeJelly
      @HandsomeJelly 3 месяца назад +1

      If your Griffeys were still in the condition they were in when you pulled em, they probably all had at least minor off-centering. I have 3 and each have obvious off-centering.

      @@billsimms2511 the bigger flea markets will have cards most of the time. I think at the most I pay up to $50 for boxes. 35 packs usually 15 cards. It's really not too bad and a lot fun. Sometimes you may run across a pack or two that may have some water damage. But for the most part we don't have any issues at all. Good clean cards, sharp corners.

      1987 Classic Update Barry Bonds rookie card. Either back. This card is notorious for bad centering. I bought two sets and both Bonds cards had lightly frayed edges and 75/25 centering on the front with the backs slightly better. The solid color on back was prone to chipping also. A PSA 10 would certainly be a special card.
