He pulled the 1 of 1 Honus Wagner auto card. There are no comps since its a 1 of 1 but other Wagner autos on cards like this that are regularly selling for 16 to 23k and those are not even 1 of 1 cards. He did fine with this pull just due to that card. Had it not been for that he would have lost abound 20k
That is what I did with my 1960’s cards. Baseball cards were for kids and it has turned into this greedy hobby. Someone paying this much money for this case is just ridiculous. Just ridiculous. Only the rich can afford such a wasteful purchase. I would want a perfect Wagner card instead of a ripped up piece a paper with his signature.

I’m 44 and I agree! The Beckett family has made their millions before the internet. I was just talking about Beckett yesterday. From having to look up #s to having to purchase different Becketts for sport categories was expensive as a kid.

Nice Honus cut pull! I live, born, bred in Pittsburgh and Honus’ Childhood Home is 10 min from me. Carnegie, Pa. I also used to be the Bat Boy for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the early 90’s. John “Hoolie” Halahan was the Clubhouse Mngr. And my Boss. He is an icon in Baseball for Clubhouse Mngrs. He has been one up until His Death (RIP) and was with the Organization since the Forbes Field Days 1940’s. (for over 50 yrs) One day He called all the clubhouse workers into His Office. There were a bunch of “Travel” Trunks that were so old from those Forbes Field Days. He sits us all down in a circle. Opens one of the trunks pulls out this long old vintage looking belt. He passes it around one by one and tells us to hold it, look at it carefully for a few min, and enjoy than pass it to the next Guy. Finally after 20 min or so its handed back to “Hoolie” and He says “Gentleman, You just held in Your hands a piece of Baseball History, this was Honus Wagner’s Game worn/Used Unifrom Belt.” We were All speechless to say the least! I still to this day will NEVER forget how cool that was! Gave Me (and still does) Goosebumps! Congrats on Your Piece of Baseball History!

You could take the $25,000 and buy PSA 7 and under of some of the most iconic vintage cards out there... Start with both Jordan RC, Wayne Gretzsky RC, a Ruth, a early Mantle, Kobe PSA 10 RC, and a few other graded vintage rookies... Not much of a gamble, but you'll always win.

Is it out of 2023 Topps Chrome? If so, look for card CT-11. If the front matches, then you may have an error. The value of errors is difficult to determine.

I collected cards in the 50's and 60's and this is why card collecting is no longer possible for kids because its been completely ruined by adults who haven't grown up. P.S. I'm proud to have put all my Mantle cards and other yankee cards on my bicycle spokes because I hated the yankees. I dont regret it for a minute because card packs were only a nickle.

Why are the cards in a frame?
I collected cards in the 50's and 60's and this is why card collecting is no longer possible for kids because its been completely ruined by adults who haven't grown up.
P.S. I'm proud to have put all my Mantle cards and other yankee cards on my bicycle spokes because I hated the yankees. I dont regret it for a minute because card packs were only a nickle.
