Raw jackfruit is a true super food. It is a good source of protein , rich in fibre , minerals and vitamins especially Vitamin C which helps boost immunity .
It reduces cholesterol and cleans the blood vessels and is thus good for heart health .
It also reduces diabetes .
Raw jackfruit is similar in texture to meat and is a good substitute for those who loved non veg but are trying to stop meat .
It is very versatile and can be used in biryanis, pulavs , curries , sambar or even can be made into kabab.
Today we show you how to cut and process raw jackfruit from scratch .
We also show you how to make healthy kababs using it by coating it with millet rava or flour and deep frying it in bull driven wooden Ghani oils .
Crunchy on the outside with a soft inside .
Served with a dash of fresh lemon and pudina chutney, these kebabs are sure to be a super hit amongst family and friends .

If not you can pulse it in the mixie and pass it through seives of different sizes to get rava of different grades

Dr Sarla plz tell which type of oil you are using is it cold pressed coconut oil???

You can use it for smearing idli plate
For folding millet chapathis etc
Do not use it where oil has to be heated again like for re frying or tempering

It can also be used to season the iron tawa after every time it's washed.
Ground nut oil has also high smoking point...is it good for health...I found somewhere that it causes uric acid and peanut allergy
It has its own good elements
Only few people are allergic
So those who aren’t can use groundnut oil as well

However on that video itself I felt it was slow & from then All ur videos from recipes to Sarala Jeevana programs, I watched them in 2x speed only.
*Sarala ma'am a few years ago. Dr Khadar sir had mentioned new varieties of Siridhanya (other than these 5) that he obtained from a farmer. He had promised us to multiply them & introduce it to us. What happened to that research & developing those breeds of millet.? Was it fruitful?*
We have one more variety in very small quantity
It’s called kumnakki in Kannada
I think it’s high time other people also take it up to find and study more millets

The heating temperature point at which the oil emits smoke.
Safflower oil has highest smoke point.
its pressure cooking or steaming?
I live in Mexico, and even though we have lots of jackfruit, it’s hard to know where to find it unripe enough, and how to know how to get out the sticky latex. Do you find that sometimes there is just too much latex (milk)? I tried cooking it, but the texture was bad - gummy. Otherwise, it tasted great.
Picking it at the right stage is crucial . The seeds inside shouldn’t be fully formed and the carpel of jackfruit shouldn’t be differentiated yet .
To deal with the latex we use oil while cutting and a little oil while boiling it too
