I have the 2000D and my friend got the 250D. They are both good for beginners, but i personally think that the 250 is better. There are a few differences, but one major difference is the screen (250D touch and you can move it and the resolution is better than in the 2000D . In the end they are both similar, but the 250D is slightly better.

Loads of pointless slides that don't provide equal information, eg no mah on the battery, no number of dots for the lcd and more.

Not a lot in it by the looks of it... I have 2000d and very happy but the 250d looks just as good with a newer processer...
the 250d has an articulating screen so think thats the main difference
