It may seem like he's having a laugh at the expense of others but this channel shows way more balls than other cycling channels and shines a light on the ugliness most don't want to acknowledge. The dark side of doping is drug addiction (among other dangers). It needs to be talked about. The omerta (code of silence) is stronger than you think.

I wish filmmakers would drop the putting fire under spoons. You just add water and some cotton to filter it. You don't put any flame to it cus you don't want to cook off your dope. The cotton will filter the cut so you don't need flame. Thankfully I have 12+ years clean but that still bothers me when I see it.

Don’t know if he was a dealer-i don’t think so-but for sure Tommeke was deep into „pot belge“--a mixture of heroin/morphine,cocaine,
caffeine,amphetamins and analgesics. Mainly used in training to be able to go deeper.
It takes about two weeks to get addicted.It was cheap compared with other ped‘s and very effective!

This is tough to watch and hear of these young men’s deaths. Years ago, I watched many of these “athletes” with esteem whilst coveting their physiques and abilities. Sad sad stuff. Maybe the entire “professional” label in sports needs to be abolished so we can witness seeing honest people toning their bodies to complete attainable sporting achievements.😢

Surprised to hear about Tom Boonen. He looked good and healthy late into his career but if you can never tell what’s going on inside someone else’s head.
I remember being so disappointed. Tom Boonen was a big name and for me as a Norwegian it was so fun watching the Boonen/Hushovd duels. But, it has seemingly a happy ending. And same with Luca Paolini in which it ended his career. And a very big name in cross country skiing.
Well, can we say they are humans after all?

Boonen was an all out addict? Don't believe it. I'm sure many cyclists have tried drugs before. They're young, energetic, famous, attractive, and curious about life. When out of competition during the winter season they can do whatever they want basically.

The doping years are mostly behind us, nowadays riders get way beter training/management/knowledge/equipment to compete top level (comon thing in sports, the human body doesnt improve this fast but our knowledge and the circumstances do)
Lance would win the TDF at least 5/7 clean, change my mind. (assuming the whole peloton was clean)
