@@flachi32 Not in any particular detail. Hamilton mentions Riis being doped to the gills during his TdF win and writes that CSC was the team to go to for him because Riis not only understood the necessity of doping in pro cycling, but was willing to run a team program. When describing his time with Phonak Hamilton mostly writes about Fuentes being unprofessional compared to Ferrari and what a clusterfuck his doping operation was.
Great analysis as usual. What did for TH was his ridiculous defence after winning TT Olympic gold...he claimed the dead embryo of an unborn twin was still lodged in his system...yes....that's the old favourite one of dopers...blame a nascent, unborn ghost of your rampant doping.
The only blessing is he's not such an ahole like Lance and has openly admitted his guilt and his part in the cycling culture, he's shown contrition..unlike others out there who still deny it today...go to Spain and Italy and you'll still see Contador, Delgado, Cippolini et al on TV like they're heroes.

I was recently watching a video on Hamilton on YT and everyone in the comments was worshiping the guy. It was kind of sickening given his history. That's why your channel is important. It evens things up and gives a more realistic perspective.

Some former riders put it in their books. Other amounts released from riders testimony against Lance. Haven't read Hamilton's book, but he speaks openly how much he was injecting with Postal, and how much he seen Lance inject.
Shocking he still has his honours albeit minus the Olympic medal.

Cycling was such a 'nerdy' sport for 'geeks', at least in my country. I got ZERO respect from my peers when I was cycling back in HS in the 80s in the northestern US. 'Doping' made this sport one of the 'cool guy' sports.

I am going to go out on a limb here ( doped limb) but no one in any road or track cycling has ever won a single race clean on any tour or competition and looking at bikes vs time records vs weights of bike the results speak for themselves.
I am going to go out on a limb and offer that anyone who thinks everyone is bad, a cheater, dirty etc, and cannot imagine anyone could do the right thing and be honest, is probably a lousy person themselves and projecting.

Not sure I'm alone on this, but why the music? Second, Hamilton's '01 TDF goes to show just how vast the difference was between the doped and the not doped. This one may argue makes claims such as ''they were all doped, the same riders would've won anyway' somewhat suspect. But in Hamilton, why make a video, you could just interview him?

I do love these channels. But am I the only one that doesn't want doping to leave cycling? It is part of the romance, and from what I understand necessary for the parcours. What pro sport is clean? At least it makes sense in cycling given the impossibility of the task at hand in grand tours. They'd have to shorten the GTs if there was no doping.
It would be quite funny to see a clean TDF. Half the field would drop out in the second week and the rest would be crawling to Paris. The collective confusion of all the willfully ignorant cycling fans would be amusing to say the least.
I want all doping, AND doping's fanboys, to leave the sport forever.
A natural grand tour would have no racing or attacking at all, just a group ride every day with a 50m sprint at the end.

Granted it was USADA that did it, not the euros. He was a sacrifice. I hated Lance. Now I love him. Every sport is dirty. And even the definition of dirty is sketch.

In US Postal, a shitty contract. He told in his book that Livingston and Andreu wanted more salary but Lance fired them.
In CSC, a better one but far from Ullrich, Pantani or Lance of course. (paying 150k to Ufe only in christmas is not for everyone)
In Phonak, he would be the king of the block after this show of 2003 tdf.
The guy with one ball got replaced in the doping ranking, by a guy with zero balls, go figure 😀
Fun to watch but I would consider it a bit misleading about Tyler's progression as a cyclist. Having known him during college he went from not being a cyclist to one of the best amateurs in a year. He started late and still had an extremely successful career. Not just because he doped. Also, the US was and is extremely poor at developing and supporting talent in Sport. I don't know a single cyclist from Boulder from that generation including the pros and semi pros in Boulder that given a chance to race in Europe at the highest level wouldn't have at least considered a program given the opportunity. I personally worked in Antarctica for a winter season following the path of two other aspiring mountain bike pros just to be able to race full time myself for a season.
Of course. All pros (most of all, Prudencios, Antonios and Dayers) are excelent cyclists.
