Please Note: I'm not encouraging never learning music theory. You have to, at some point, at least learn or familiarize yourself with the basics to be able to improve the work you do. All I am saying is this is a great tool for those who want to get started in making music now but don't have the ability to play piano, guitar, program drums, etc etc. If you want to create, you should be able to. Arcade makes that possible. Let it be the tool that starts you out, and then continue the journey yourself once you learn proper music theory.

Yes. I already have a PRO, I’ve been with SESAC for 12 years and I already know about the copyright site. The stolen work was stuff uploaded to my channel prior or previews that artists chopped up and flipped to pretend they made it. I’ve already spoken with my lawyer about take downs and other actions I can take. Some of it I can handle, some of it takes time & money. Which Makes it difficult for me for the time being. So I just stopped posting them online.

Absolutely…use the tools available to you. There is so much you can accomplish with little no music theory understanding. I would still however encourage anyone who really wants to dive into production to get at least a basic understanding of chords, chord progressions, key signatures and rhythm. It will take your ability to use the tool to a different level. Keep creating!

Dude, you're a funny guy - that wakeup routine was me two hours ago. I just subscribed to Output Arcade this morning. I came up with the Acid Pro/Sound Forge way of loop-writing so I'm confident I'll get this. I started playing piano at 7 & guitar at 12 and learned music theory all through that time, then re-studied it on my own later on.
Learning music theory is worth the effort. I wont write with anyone who can't speak the language - time is money. Too many producers use excuses when they're just too lazy to bother.

Im pretty good at playing instruments but when creating music if anything can make your job easier and quicker its a god send cause you can explore things you may not have thought about by hearing a patch especially when most of the harmonies/melodies humans like to hear is narrow. Its why all the music we hear repeats itself, its just shaped differently.

Hey bro do you need the midi keyboard to use it? Assuming with the whole white vs black key system you might... I have maschine studio and wanna try this out but I don’t own a keyboard at the moment
I got Arcade around the time it first came out, and I absolutely love it. It's fun to just goof around, and just experiment with it. The only dilemma I have is that since it IS a loop synthesizer, I can't do an entire track for commercial and advertising music, because using too many loops is not good for production music. Arcade is ALL THAT for composing full music tracks for streaming, radio, and so on. But you CAN use bits and pieces of the loops in production music. It's just frowned upon to compose an entire track of loops only.
Who cares if it’s frowned at. That’s the way i think. Lol. Does it sound good or not? 🤷🏾♂️ honestly that’s all I care about. Sometimes I use no loops at all and other times I’ll use a bunch. Just depends.
@@IAMLXGEND I'm with you. I believe I can compose THOUSANDS of tracks with just Arcade alone. I'm just saying, being that I'm new to composing for film and television, going by the "rules" , it's laid out that you CAN use loops in production music, but use them sparingly.

I’m still trying to figure out what steps I need to make next because I’m so close to finishing my album but don’t know if I should copywrite next or just go ahead and distribute my songs out. Yup I plan on doing one for phone production this year, probably in March. If you want to see one from a normal computer I can do that too. As far as copyright you should always copyright before you release.
