I bought this same laptop on Dec 17. it was listed at 99,990 in Flipkart and I am fully satisfied with its performance. Best laptop at this budget. Edit 1- I have used this laptop for almost 3 years now (30/11/24). No problem in hardware or software till now. Laptop really runs smooth and easily runs every game in medium & high graphics. Yes i have played every graphics intensive game that i could have find and never felt dissatisfied with the performance. The build quality is still very good. I do clean the laptop now and then from outside and use a cover in keypad. fans do make noise when you play heavy graphics and cpu intesive game but if you are using earphone or headphone it doesn't matter much. This one now sales at 92k in flipkart and still very viable in the market.
A few suggestions - 1) Keep atleast some games (3-4) constant for gaming test and plz un games ke saath similiar price point ke laptops ke fps dikha diya karo because at this point cpu and GPU tgp aren't the only factors so having the comparison in the video really helps as a buyer. 2) Please do the same for benchmark numbers 3) Please keep the DLSS preset constant at quality/balanced because for 1080p gaming, these are only suitable. 4) If possible please also show screen response time. I know this creates quite some extra work but I feel these will really make the video complete and viewer won't need to do anymore searching for comparisons. Thanks

Just few suggestions for next generation laptop reviews 1. Pls include SSD speed test because sometimes companies tend to push out low quality SSDs which go under the radar. 2. Try to measure or show the screens response time since there's quite evident screen blurring in fast paced games if a laptops screen response time is very high (prime example being Dell G515) These are just mere suggestions, otherwise great quality videos and keep up the amazing work 🙌
Bro properly measuring screen response times requires pretty expensive dedicated equipment. Same goes for measuring the colour gamut as well. Moreover, to the untrained eye ghosting and smearing is not as evident as it might be to someone who regularly dabbles in fast paced esports titles, so it's not like a subjective "I did not find any ghosting while playing" comment means much here. Anyway, one can always go to channels like Jarrod Tech for finding out the actual numbers.
I bought this laptop a week ago. More than satisfied with it so far. Almost every game runs smoothly at full settings. Had a few temperature issues in the beginning but after I changed few settings temps were below 80°C while playing heavy games like GTA 5 and Mafia DE.

@@Rohan_bh Hey, you may have bought one of these but if you haven't let me tell you this, Legion is just plain better. I will also be buying Omen later tho. Why Legion is better? It has 165Hz refresh rate, 2K display, 1TB more SSD than Omen, unbeatable build quality and also it has 140W TGP. It is definitely worth it for the price if you have the money. I stretched my budget and I can only get the Omen 15 :(

Comparing the pc to the much more expensive legion, the pc wins by a mile. I get 100fps all settings turned to max on cyberpunk, while the benchmark on legion gives about 45.... go for the mini tower pc... getting a laptop for gaming isnt worth it.

@@uttamk1 I don't know or think that there is a fix, Linus in his video used the BIOS to boost the components (RAM and processor) but that didn't make a major difference in performance and not to mention that was a desktop, in my knowledge no such boosting exist for laptops as they are already lacking in sufficient cooling.

I bought it in October for 110000 and am really satisfied so far, the laptop is a beast in gaming. I play single player games mostly, games that are very demanding and it runs them smoothly in balanced mode ( I don't even need performance mode to get 60+ fps ) so it is a big update from my rtx 2060 with ryzen 5 3400 pc ..
I have a Hp omen too, the Ryzen 5 and 1650 ti one...bought it last year..speakers were good initially, but went bad in 8 months, distortion and everything..

You should go with the omen. With the current edge that nvidia has over amd in GPU department with DLSS and NIS, it should be a better deal. Plus 6600m tgp is 80w vs 100w of omen
@@AdityaGupta-om8ez I agree about dlss and matured ray tracing in nvidia rather than in amd's fsr and Ray tracing but I am quite not sure about the performance of gpu since 3060 max tgb I am aware of in laptop is 135 but we are getting in omen at 100 watt similarly for radeon desktop version 6600m has max tgp of 100watts here we are getting it at 80 watts and tgp is only one of the factor for performance. Msi alpha has amd advantage that includes smart shift, free sync etc.. due to amd cpu+gpu combo along with 2gb more vram than 3060, which can give performance boost in games running at native resolution. But all the points made above might work in theory, we can be sure once we run benchmark and do a head to head comparison.

best would be to extend till 85k and get the ideapad 5 pro 16” (has excellent screen and a fair enough gpu) or dash f15 (rtx 3060) (bad screen but great value for money). If you cannot, then you have to choose between a good gpu or a good gamut. If you can sacrifice the screen, get the dell g15 though.

If you ever want to be able to install Linux beware! My omen came with no bios/uefi option to change sata mode from raid using RST to AHCI. This forces you to use only windows as no other OS has support for RST. Apparently this has become a common practice for manufacturers. Go to a store and check the uefi options first before buying. Even if you don't want the option now, when it's old you might wish you could turn it into a Linux server like I do. I'd like to see more pushback agaisnt this from the community because it's a very strong move in the direction of "you don't own and can't change your own pc" and "we know what's best for you so we took away the option" ism... unfortunately, notebooks/laptops don't get the same kind of attention, so this practice has been sliding under the radar. It benefits all three companies involved, so I can only imagine it getting worse before it gets better.
The keyboard has breathing, color cycle, etc effects. In the omen hub install the lighting studio which unlocks all these effects for free. I've been using this laptop for a few weeks the only issue I've found is the 200w power adapter gets super hot. So hot that you can't hold it in your hand for more than 5 seconds after it reaches its max temp. I don't know how big of a issue is this but laptop itself stays cool whilst the power adapter gets hot

Yes, it is been 1 year but I think 2 mistakes should be considered here, I am using the exact model except RTX 3060 I have RTX 3050ti. The solution and "must know" things are: 1. You can change RGB to dynamic by using Omen Gaming Hub and using light studio - (It even contains ambient lighting effect, wave, and photo 'RGB' effect and even audio visualizer RGB changes according to video audio). Another mistake: 2. If you need dedicated Numpad then you can go with intel version. But in my experience You don't trackpad much because no numpad gives you an big and comfy keyboard. I bought my laptop in Dec-26 2022, If anyone want to know my experience then can reply this comment.

Not in hp omen series.HP omen series doesn't have under powered specs.Rest series like pavilion there is little underpowered specs.

I have this Laptop, with HDMI 2.0 it will give you 120hz refresh rate for external monitor.. with display port you will get 144hz.
My HP victus has HDMI 2.1 which gives 4k120, i think omen must have HDMI 2.1 too

Hi venom, can you do a comparison video on MSI alpha 15 that has 5800h and ryzen 6600m 8gb. It's performance will be on par with omen and I am confused on which to select (both are of same price).

You should go with the omen. With the current edge that nvidia has over amd in GPU department with DLSS and NIS, it should be a better deal. Plus 6600m tgp is 80w vs 100w of omen
Same dilemma I was having in October. But the service quality of MSI is a huge problem in India. So i would say go for omen.
@@AdityaGupta-om8ez I agree about dlss and matured ray tracing in nvidia rather than in amd's fsr and Ray tracing but I am quite not sure about the performance of gpu since 3060 max tgb I am aware of in laptop is 135 but we are getting in omen at 100 watt similarly for radeon desktop version 6600m has max tgp of 100watts here we are getting it at 80 watts and tgp is only one of the factor for performance. Msi alpha has amd advantage that includes smart shift, free sync etc.. due to amd cpu+gpu combo along with 2gb more vram than 3060, which can give performance boost in games running at native resolution. But all the points made above might work in theory, we can be sure once we run benchmark and do a head to head comparison.
Gpu tgp is better in omen, secondly as a brand i find hp better.... services etc are better than msi

Hey there, yes you can plugin upto 2monitors,
HDMI gives output from iGPU ( IGUESS)
and MiniDisp.Port gives output from dGPU

best would be to extend till 85k and get the ideapad 5 pro 16” (has excellent screen and a fair enough gpu) or dash f15 (rtx 3060) (bad screen but great value for money). If you cannot, then you have to choose between a good gpu or a good gamut. If you can sacrifice the screen, get the dell g15 though.

This was the fastest unboxing ever 🌝🤣. (Under 13 seconds) itna alag youtubers ko intro dene me hi lag jaata hai 🌝
If you ever want to be able to install Linux beware! My omen came with no bios/uefi option to change sata mode from raid using RST to AHCI. This forces you to use only windows as no other OS has support for RST. Apparently this has become a common practice for manufacturers. Go to a store and check the uefi options first before buying. Even if you don't want the option now, when it's old you might wish you could turn it into a Linux server like I do. I'd like to see more pushback agaisnt this from the community because it's a very strong move in the direction of "you don't own and can't change your own pc" and "we know what's best for you so we took away the option" ism... unfortunately, notebooks/laptops don't get the same kind of attention, so this practice has been sliding under the radar. It benefits all three companies involved, so I can only imagine it getting worse before it gets better.
The keyboard has breathing, color cycle, etc effects. In the omen hub install the lighting studio which unlocks all these effects for free. I've been using this laptop for a few weeks the only issue I've found is the 200w power adapter gets super hot. So hot that you can't hold it in your hand for more than 5 seconds after it reaches its max temp. I don't know how big of a issue is this but laptop itself stays cool whilst the power adapter gets hot
hey do you have any idea about the hdmi version in the laptop ? On flipkart they say its hdmi 2.0 but on hp website they say its hdmi 2.1

Yes, it is been 1 year but I think 2 mistakes should be considered here, I am using the exact model except RTX 3060 I have RTX 3050ti.
The solution and "must know" things are:
1. You can change RGB to dynamic by using Omen Gaming Hub and using light studio - (It even contains ambient lighting effect, wave, and photo 'RGB' effect and even audio visualizer RGB changes according to video audio). Another mistake:
2. If you need dedicated Numpad then you can go with intel version. But in my experience You don't trackpad much because no numpad gives you an big and comfy keyboard.
I bought my laptop in Dec-26 2022, If anyone want to know my experience then can reply this comment.
