Does anyone enjoy being a rockstar more than Ronnie. What stage presence. Chill Eric...
He's always been the same, look at him, he looks like he's still in the Faces. :)
@@gianlucad8003 All that is missing is the cigarette.
@@robertgibson7141 il vient juste de la jeter!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric hasn’t lost any power in his voice or playing. I count myself lucky to have seen most of the greats live over the years. No sampling or fake backing just pure musicianship.
Yes he has ...
Yeah me to.
I saw Jason Donavon in the 80s.
The Godfather of music
I don't like being a drag, but, apart from his stoned years, when Alvin Lee played for him behind the stage curtain.
Wood is hysterical - Clapton seemed to say to him - a little feedback. Let's not forget Ronnie played and lived with Hendrix - he takes a back seat to nobody and he is having a blast.
he's a great side man in any band
@Ronnie Wood ❣️☺️💯👍😁
He makes music fun how it should be.... good one Ronnie 👍
@@leighcecil3322 Ronnie was in the Faces; first band I ever saw live way back in the early 70's. When he started playing slide guitar I thought WTF. It blew my mind. As innocent and naive as I was I didn't beleive it possible to play a guitar that way. an amazing guitarist, I still love to listen to his music 50 year later.
They shared a flat together in London, maybe played together there. But I don't think they ever shared a stage or a recording studio.
Eric Clapton and Ronnie Wood, your tribute to Ginger Baker is amazing. 2 icons performing on stage and doing what they love and having an amazing time. You both rock.
Just before finding this video i was watching the movie " the last waltz " from 1976 and saw ronnie wood and eric clapton playing together . How cool it is to find them 44 years later playing together ... Very emotional
The last waltz is one of my favorite ❤ concert movies. If you watch the LW now it's sorta sad how many folks we have lost.
Long live Eric and Ronnie.
We're losing our Great rock and roll stars....and with them our Great rock and roll...Best music ever, it moves people....I LOVE that I can still watch these concerts on RUclips...LOVE IT!!!!!
Learn to love rap and hip hop😎😎😎
& you have that right, Jane :D
@@trailrunning11vlog LOL!
You are spot on! Long live rock ‘n roll!
Don't worry Guy there alive always in my head keep it going we luv u all peace will always be rememer Ed in a Great way live on be safe God bless us all
Eric Clapton gave Ginger Baker a fitting send off. Treasure this gig.
I see it takes 3 drummers to play what Baker played. Many didn't understand a man who grew up poor with nothing that learned to play on cans he made & turned out to be 1 of the best. GOD blessed you Mr. Peter Edward Baker in a way money could not buy.
God bless Bakers thriving fire of the I'll to make Music Magical and transcend above it all.
The Cream lives on in our hearts,
and
In our Minds.❤
Well put gentlemen!
To STILL see these guys playing, and TOGETHER is hell of a provilege. Enjoy it guys while you can! While we still can! Legendary artists! ❤
47 years after EC Rainbow,s concert
I know what you mean. On top of being a Clapton fan I've also been a fan of Johnny Winter since his second album. I saw Winter play in a club the summer of 2013. I stood right next to the stage literally 10 feet away from him. He died the following spring at age 70. Eric is motivated to stay alive and in good health as long as he can because he has four daughters in his life and he's happily married.
Angelo Lima. Provilege? You mean privilege, and according to you that is in hell with the baddy Xtians.
Magic!
Agreed 💯
This is unique.
I'm 42. When I was say 15, there were very few or no 75 year olds, playing a 52 year old, popular song, at a tribute to another 75+ year old, in front of adoring fans. Just imagine being 15 today, discovering this music, still being played by it's original performer, who is the same age as their grandfather.
I'll be 70 in a couple of months (50th anniversary of my 20th or 20th anniversary of my 50th?) and saw the Faces in about 1971. Finally saw EC about 5 years ago (on my bucket list). I came of age with music like this and can't think of anything better to come along since.
I’m 15 and just Discovered Clapton! I love him so much already and seeing him performing live at this age is just amazing
Just awesome to watch this stuff mate. Mad also to think these lot have jammed with the greats - for me JJ Cale, Keith, Chuck, Stevie, Jimi. Just nuts. Hope Covid f*cks off / we get on with it and gigs can open up again. These guys ain’t got many left!
This is the reason I take my kids to see these shows; I met Elvin Jones as a kid... my kids got to meet Martin Barre so far... who brings an 8 and a 12 year old to a rock show? I do - my parents brought me to Jazz shows - I'm doing the same for my kids - now 14 (drummer) and 10 (Bassist)... never too early for the arts.
u no nothing about the great music by these people.there music will be around after there gone.
Gibson 11, Stratocaster, 6. Woody hilarious, the footwork, the slide solo. Man, was his guitar hot in the mix! Both men have a long history together. If Ronnie Lane could look down from heaven and see this performance. And George Harrison as well. And Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. God bless, each and every one.
Fantastic feeling when you see your idols are still alright...
R.I.P. Ginger Baker, R.I.P. Jack Bruce, R.I.P. George Harrison.
If they hear this I am sure they think; this niveau is not respectful enough. It is a kind of happening of clowns
@@farkasgabor3491 the bassist is particularly unfaithful to the lines that Jack Bruce played.
Martin Schwoerer , Absolutely! Bruce was great...and crank up the bass volume too like original Badge recording.
RIP John Lennon
Don't forget The Fish/ Chris Squire made u feel the Rick Bass when he navigated the song he made u feel a part of it RIP
The fun starts at 1:30. Eric steps out on his solo. Ronnie at 2:50 is priceless, Totally feeling it. What a great recording and that slide? Damn.
Wait what happened there exactly?
Ronnie comes across as the nicest most humble and cool guy, would love to have a pint with him.
The greatest of all time, sir Eric Clapton ladies and gentleman. What a gift it is to listen to him play this well in 2020. Long live Slowhand, from Brazil
This makes me as happy as I was when I bought the first Cream album released on December 9, 1966!!! Wow! Has 54 years already gone that fast? Doesn't matter, I still get the same thrill as if I'm hearing this amazing music for the first time!!!
Rip Ginger...what a great drummer
The Best
Good drummer but not such a .... .......
Can we just give it up for Willie Weeks? Dude can sit in the pocket and play just the notes needed all the time. An amazing musician! That is why he gets the call so often! He has shared the stage with so many legends!
No arguments here!
Yes. I prefer him to Nathan East for that very reason. The master of the groove.
For decades!
The secret of good bass..... four notes played with feeling beats sixteen played just because you can every day of the week.
@@staggerproof5589 both are supreme
Woody has got be the most well liked rock star ever. Everyone loves him from Clapton to McCartney from Hendrix to Rod Stewart. He's jammed with them all.
Would love to have a drink with him one day, it would be a blast 😷
IMO the coolest cat to ever walk on this planet.
Its true about Ronnie , from his youth playing with THE BIRDS , at the ealing club london ) to the arrival of THE BYRDS at heathrow london in 1966 , where he and his band mates pelted ROGER MCQUINN with eggs , and they still laugh about it today and are big mates , checkout 19 year old ronnie in this video ruclips.net/video/f8zHMAYh-ww/видео.html
p.s. ronnies old house on richmond hill london is now owned by PETE TOWNSEND and his next door neighbour was mick jagger ! its also where ROD and the faces stayed in their early days of THE FACES .
Woody is everybody's friend. He reminds me of Ringo...I mean they both are the typical guys that everyone loves because they are very friendly, funny people and always transmit good vibes.
@Fran Ra Woody and Charlie kept the other two honest. Keith has always had high praise for both.
And yes, Eric is fantastic on this.
Great Tribute, I love Ronnie's boyish enthusiasm, always the rock star, never lost his love for jamming with anyone.
Because he’s also always been a fan too. I agree.
ron wood is so underrated....a great musician and showman in his own right.
Runny is the best
Nice to see Eric looking well.
I think he is the greatest person on top of the best guitarist ever. God bless Eric Clapton
WHY?
Producer: Eric, how many drummers do you want?
Eric: Yes!
And Eric God Bless You for all the work for those suffering in Addiction.
Wood is also a gifted artist. I was impressed with his portrait of Keith at an exhibit in San Diego. Very original
Yes i agree 🐒
This is great. I got to say, Clapton with creme was probably most original and best stuff he ever cowrote and recorded. Jack Bruce voice was so powerful and was a perfect match for Clapton. What a band they were.
The correct spelling is Cream.
EC WAS here
@@monatoney3474 He still is!
I'm obsessed with Cream!!
In some ways I prefer Clapton's playing with The Bluesbreakers and The Dominos, but I love Cream so much and with very few exceptions (Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Queen) there hasn't been a band where each member was a genius at their instrument!
George Harrison wrote this one though.
Ronnie’s stuff with The Faces stands the test of time,He’s a true Rocker.
These two absolute legends are what it's about. Great music and enjoying every minute. Mr Rock and Mr Roll.
Last man standing, Erics doing alright considering the journey. RIP Jack & Ginger
RIP Ginger Baker, one of the best drummers of all time.
And RIP Charlie Watts too
one of th better Ronnie Wood guitar playing I have seen 👍
Simply fantastic. Their mutual respect is very apparent.
Notice how Ronnie's rhythm and dancing helps elevate Eric's solo? That's what it's all about. Would have loved to see them touring together. Thanks for sharing.
If any fellow musicians are considering giving up performing, Dr. Wood has yer cure right here!
I wish Eric Clapton would live another 50 years.
Ronnie Wood is an amazing combination to anyone he plays with. When you've got you've got it, it's called MOJO. He is so creative, goes on a limb and lets go, not something prearranged. Art.
I’ve always loved Ronnie’s playing outside of the Stones’ orbit; he doesn’t have to defer to Keith by holding back his own skill, and one realizes why every artist - from The Band to Bod Dylan and beyond - wants to collaborate or share a stage with him: he’s the consummate journeyman and more.
Eric looks so handsome,
Badge one of my favorite songs ever!!!!
I miss Jack's loud, pounding overdriven bass on these songs...A thin sounding bass just doesn't cut it.
bflo1000 Still a huge fan of Jack and miss him terribly.
When I was 16 I buried my head in between the speakers at the Black Prince Pub listening to Clapton live with Derek and the Dominos. Unforgettable experience around 69/70
Real music you could go to small venues and listen to.
Thank God, that Eric Clapton is still in my world!
Only clapton can make a guitar talk...
With SENSE.
That's only because Stevie Ray is gone. Even Clapton deferred to him.
Absolutely brilliant,what a pair on stage.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ronnie always brings along a sense of fun and musical excellence!!
This music will never die
Clapton is amazing. His voice sounds terrific. Nothing lost there and his guitar playing....outstanding. He is the man. He sounds wonderful. His voice does not change and he can hit those notes. Love this man!
Ronnie ain’t no slouch either!
Clapton is so boring id rather watch concrete grow
Two Grandmaster guitarists. Wow. They play because they love music, they don’t need money anymore. Makes me proud of being part of that generation!
YESSSSSS Whoa! ONE of my favorite songs Tbis is great. Eric and Ronmie amazing duo
one of the greatest concerts I ever went to was the Goodbye Cream tour at the Forum in Los Angeles , Ca . Deep Purple opened up and Cream did the whole live side of Wheels of Fire where Ginger Baker did the greatest rock drum solo of all time . Each member of Cream was the Best making the Cream the second most influential group behind the Beatles !
This music is an orgasm for the ears. God fill you with life.
Ronnie is just perfect here
He is a true hero and gentleman
And he is in great shape for the Stones tour,
which will start very soon
Robert Wiesler all the tours will be canceled soon....
Delayed hopefully, and hopefully a kinder world awaits us at the other end too
The stones may have the lowest body fat per member
Nobody will be touring for a long long time
Nobody will be touring for a long long time
it is a pleasure to see (and listen to) the two virtuosos on stage .... they are both phenomenal
Ronnie Woods was born to be a rock 🌟. No other job would have suited him
It's Wood
Ronnie Wood is a genuinely nice guy.
He sent me a 70th Birthday Video tribute. Unbelievable xxxx
Still great..he sing very clearly and play his guitar so wonderful really great. I Love You Eric Clapton
FOREVER IN MY HEART ♥️♥️♥️
I love that subtle communication between Eric Clapton & Steve Gad at the 3:53 mark. How way cool it must be to control the tempo of one of the coolest "Tempo Songs" ever written?
Legends...get a good look at this kids. This is how it's done.
No such dedication today. So thankful to have grown up with these fabulous musicians who have given and still do.
Ronnie played like crap..do not play like this kids !
Indeed, the honored is a legend. Sorry this is t as good as it was. Love EC, tho. Didn't like his tune as .ugh as the old sound tho. And you can bet he would much rather play it and sing with Baker and Bruce. The original recording has always been a favorite song.
The sound on this vid really is sad,and does these great players no justice!
As I recall Badge was co-written by Eric and George Harrison.
Yes it was , George wrote the lyrics and was not Badge . Was Bridge , Eric got it wrong the written words
Those are GENTLEMEN of music.
Yes, this is good, time almost stands still, thanks for the emotions that this music still gives us.
We will never have music like this again, enjoy while it lasts.
RIP ginger baker. nice to see you're still kickin around eric
This...is music ladies and gentlemen. This is how you do it.
My favorite song of all time ! , Sexy !
Anything by Clapton has got to be good 👍.
what a night in westlondon! It did help so much with going through what happened next with the pandemic , thank you Eric !..and friends
Clapton’s had an amazing run. Don’t stop!
He's a legend
@Eric Clapton oh if only this were real.
Good to still see Ronnie Wood as strong as ever☀️🌟🔥🥗
The rumours of EC's demise have been grossly exaggerated. Looking good and smiling.......made my day.
What rumors of his demise? I've been following that man and his music since he started, never heard that. Know he's had some medical problems lately but nothing life threatening. What did I miss?
@@detroitlady9282 I also haven't heard anything about this and I have and always will be a huge Clapton fan
@sailing95 A lot of those rumors came after his Christmas video. He looked tired to say the least and so unlike himself with a crew cut no less. He did not sound the same either. I love him, too, so seeing this after that makes me happy. His website lists show dates so he is performing but only locally in Europe I believe.
@@tedfio1tedfio1 That I've heard too but heck, so am I, too many concerts. I can only imagine how it is on stage! And unfortunately we are all getting older, but what a ride!
Well on the one hand he has tinnitus like maybe every musician of his generation and on the other hand he does have some neurological condition that makes it painful for him to play the guitar. Apparently he needs some time before playing to get his hands accustomed to play again.
You have to thank George for his contribution, every time I hear it I think about him!
Ive always loved Eric Clapton and Ronnie Wood. Their music is amazing RIP Ginger Baker . This is what really beautiful music is to me. not this weird tasteless rap music of today.God bless you always.🌹💖💖🎉
Absolutely amazing how good these guys still sound. We need to hold onto these guys as long as possible and show the younger generation what musicians really are.
Eric in a suit..he rocks it !! I believe Eric cannot play this song without thinking of it as a tribute to his friendship with George.
Good to see Ronnie up there. RIP Ginger.
Favorite Cream song and I always wished it was longer. Wishes do come true in 2020!
I had the privilege of providing personal protection for Mr. Woods in 2003, Las Vegas he was premiering some of his artwork. I was introduced to his family. Absolute gentleman always remember this job.
One of my friends interviewed him for the Telegraph and another wrote his autobiography whilst another sang in a band with his brother he's a first class bloke and decent to all, I hope I have the pleasure of meeting him myself one day..
@@josephking1947 I will try and abbreviate this, The evening I mentioned Mr. Wood was in the green room with his family he had to go out one more time into the gallery. As we were walking out his wife suddenly stated Ron your belt is not through all the pant loops, to which he replied " Hell its Rock And Roll" he laughed and we walked out to his waiting fans.
@@scottrobbins6216 Brilliant ...
@@josephking1947 We can't give Ronnie credit for writing his autobiography? It's a great read, IMO. Seems to come from HIS heart, not a shadow author. Interesting assertion you make, but I know it happens a lot w/ autobiographies.
@@G_money Ronnie is obviously a great musician and Artist if he was capable of writing his autobiography he wouldn't of needed others to do it....so not an assertion rather a fact keep well
One of Clapton's best (albeit short) attempts on Badge of late. Ronnie nailed it too. I was lucky to witness this from the front row!
That riff written by George Harrison is soooo amazing. It will never die.😁
that rif always sends shivers down my spine even at 65 y o . love it . God bless Ginger rip
Ringo’s lyrical contribution isn’t too shabby either. I’ll always wonder where he came up with it. I think he titled the song too... he saw the words upside down on a piece of paper. He asked why it said “badge.” Clapton said it said “bridge”. Clapton named it Badge.
@@easy56wedge Ringo came up with the line about the swans living in the park.

Eric plays like a pro... and Ronnie... ahm... let's say he never gave Keef a reason to be jealous like he was of Brian Jones and Mick Taylor... 😜
PS: but he's a good showman:)
exactly. and Ronnie looks like he is having fun. Eric is great, but kind of a boring performer imo.

How's it that just about anything and everything they play suddenly sounds legendary.
Because it was legendary the first time it was heard.
Great to see. One of my first albums - at about 10 years of age - was EC's Rainbow Concert and this was my favourite. With Ronnie and Steve Winwood then.

Ron and Eric, contantly in contact. That's how it's done. wow

O mais bacana em Ronnie Wood é que ele sabe trabalhar em grupo, ele não fica competindo em duelos, toca e deixar o outro tocar também. Muito bom!!
