As we get into the rule explanations here, the innards are lookin' like a healthy, juicy goat sacrifice! 👍 QUESTION: In actual games, would allocation of dice to the Command Board be done a secret, or if in the open, by one side first?
Thanks, this system looks really interesting but I'm not really a minis player. Can it be easily convert to board format (either squares or hexes) with counters if I'm willing to do some DIY?
@@toofatlardies Thanks, it looks like a right system for me then :) I'll wait for the actual gameplay video as well just to confirm but still curious to finally see someone modelling bigger battles :)
In truth, they’re not really ‘miniatures’, not unless you would consider grains of rice as miniatures. They’re perhaps best described as 2.5-D. You could probably make reasonably inoffensive units that would double for boardgames out of a cut-out layer of card stuck to a rectangular card base.
@@markbackhouse3372 I generally prefer no minis at all to be honest but counters with more meaningful information :) Pre-ordered your game already Mark, will give it a try with home-made counters :)
Actually they could be tokens, counters, or even replica Ancient coins instead of dice. Use whatever is at hand. We tend to use dice because that’s what we have to hand!
“Caesar was the geezer.”
Now that’s a pretty succinct summary of his “Gallic Wars” book.
Would have saved many students a lot of pain in Latin classes!
Great explanation, Gents! Mark, I thought you only played Roman!😁
I love them all John. I’m happy as a Roman or an unwashed barbarian!
Seeing Mark cringe as Rich keeps calling it "battle board" is pure comedy :D
Richard is a very naughty boy! But we did already know.
I’m trying to be consistent - I’m sure at participation games at shows I’ll doubtless use all kinds of other terms and make up the rules as we go!
Looking good lads
Cheers Glen.

That's your choice. The rules recommend doing it openly at first, but as you get more accomplished doing it secretly can add something.
@@toofatlardies TY for the insight.
What Rich said! Doing it in secret can be fun, but having the Command Board made open is helpful when you start playing.
Wow, psychedelic intro!!
Psychedelic! 😂😂 Not really our intention, but pleased it is a feast for your eyes!

Yes. Easily. I was also considering getting some cards made up with the units printed on them.

You could… if you prefer individual models just play it in 6mm or bigger through?

Still can't see the minis.
It won’t change until we do a 6mm video in the future.
Ahhh, good olde defenCe ^_^
Defence is merely correct English..
Are the rules for this out yet? I'd love to bring this up to the guys at the shop.
They just opened the preorder yesterday. The full release is April 25th
@@cooperread6989 sweet I will pre order tomorrow!
No proprietary dice, noooooooo!!!!!
Nah, just normal dice mate.
Just lovely Lardie dice!
The Lardies are a dice-cutter’s nightmare!
