The general's bat man getting a slingshot to the groin, what a great line and an image that is difficult to stop laughing about in my mind. Great fun battle report, thank you. Slingshottothegroin!
That double one throw!! 🤣 It was as though the Romans advanced unwaveringly until they reached them enemy skirmishers, only for someone in the front rank to unleash a rank fart resulting in the breaking of the formation! 🤣
Yeah weird unpredictable stuff happens occasionally. Maybe only the front cohorts went in and were beaten off? Sometimes you’ve got to read a narrative to explain the extremes.
@@markbackhouse3372 I want to use the models, I painted them. I just don't want them clogging things up. Next ancients game, I will try it along the lines of your rules and see how it goes
Given the date of this battle I'm assuming that this is from the (soon to be released?) Punic Wars supplement? Is it likely that the Antonine range of figures will have any Punic specific additions or will the range they have now work fine? I'm loathe to buy a couple of armies only to find that this and that unit need to look different because of rule changes.
The earlier Republican legions will look different from the later Republican legions. That’s not a cynical cash in - it’s just reflecting that the legions looked different in their formations!
Top notch game and nice to see the 6mm in action.

Ouch!
Great to see another of your battle reports and great fun as always. Cheers.
That was beautiful! Rich basically bluffed his way to a victory. Love seeing more Strength and Honor. Time to dig up my 6mm Romans!
I think he bluffed himself! He had no idea how bad his situation was either!
Great game! Very fun to watch
Thanks! I’m pleased you enjoyed it!
Nice vid. Good to see 6mm ancients with S&H.
Also, pronunciation of Nicopolis is on the third-last syllable - so Ni-CO-po-lis, not Ni-co-PO-lis.
So good to see you fellows battling again.
Should be a follow up battle coming soon. It’s been filmed but needs editing.

@@markbackhouse3372 I think the narratives are what really make these games great! Love it! It is so much more than the game mechanics alone.
Looks impressive and great fun.
Yes certainly fun. The laughter and enjoyment is hard to fake.
Smashing chaps!
Cheers!
That was great fun!
I’m really pleased you’ve enjoyed it.
I like the way that the game deals with skirmishers. In other sets, they can get in the way, hang around too long I find
Yes it’s simple but works well.

Blimey, that's impressive.
Pleased you enjoyed it!

No it’s from 48BC and in the main rulebook! The Punic supplement is still a fair way off.

Well, that was damned close. Clarkie scraped through by the skin of the teeth. Nice to see this played out chaps.
Yes it was tight. It did swing back and forth.
