People should choose the buy watches they enjoy and appreciate, and not expect them as investments. Glad the market is taking a correction and likely it’ll continue in that direction because the world of watches has clearly overheated in the past few years.

Lots of things rocketed in price over the last 2-3 years which killed the market for so many people but others made obscene profits. If someone bought at the peak hoping to sell at a profit, they may get their fingers burnt trying to flip now. As you say, it's an expensive lesson but one you won't forget in a hurry. Personally, I don't like Patek's but good luck with the sale anyway Phil.

It is what it is Phil. These things happen. Take it on the chin, get the watch out the door and move on. An expensive lesson, but a lesson none the less.

damn u still holding on. mate, watches are like any other asset class. as long as interest rates keep moving up, assets will keep depreciating. watches are not something you buy to hedge against inflation.

Why would I buy an Aquanaut from a boy who is so young he can't even grow a mustache? Scratch that: why would I buy an Aquanaut in the first place? It's practically the only Patek model NOT to get.
Ahhh the aquanaut 5167, (on bracelet no less) the Patek that screams idk what patek is but I know I am supposed to have one to be a flexer. Of all the watches in their catalog you get this? Really? You'd have to pay me to wear that. Just no.
