The aquanaut really is a watch that needs to be seen and worn in person to actually understand its beauty. As soon as i saw one in person, i wanted one, and thankfully will be getting one in around 6 weeks time.
All of Patek's watches are absolutely amazing, especially the nautilus. My personal favorite is still the tiffany and co due to its rarity and the odd tiffany blue. But after watching this video, I think I will order the Nautilus with the rubber band, probably in red, because, I only have one red watch in my arsenal, and hey why not, life is short, but my supply of watches doesn't have to be. :)
That's why it's a mechanical watch :) one joke is that someone said that noise is from a fake watch on other posts really didn't own one to have that kind of comments
Congratulations on the watch. Wear in good health, great piece. Did you buy AD, and if yes how long did you wait? There are rumors that PP is a bit more generous with the ADs to help them through the tough period caused by COVID.

Is it beautiful? Certainly Yes ...... Is it worth 40K? Certainly No .......... In plain sentences, that what I thought, but it’s different story for collectors and overwhelmingly rich people
Any person who claims the watch has character is lying. They're just trying to protect their "investment", in the hopes that they'll find a sucker that will pay more than they did, so they make a profit. That's what expensive watch collecting is about
@@watchcraft it's sad that people like us love watches can't get the watch we want at a reasonable price we are lucky enough to own this piece with msrp market price doesn't really matter to me as I buy watches to keep and enjoy them with casual money in the meanwhile still interested in other patek or rolex but won't do it as my principle is not to pay the hype that's how sad it is I'm going to enjoy all the watches I have in hand as for other watches that I like, it's good to have but I would be the same happy without them

So Would be a little more complicated for you to wear a chrono on the right hand, no? and as you say yourself in this video, being into watches is about being a traditionalist... so wearing on the left! ;))
I don’t believe this… I expected so much more from this watch. The movement is inferior to a simple ETA one and if it didn’t have a decorated see-through case back saying Patek but Tag Heuer, I bet most collectors wouldn’t even look at it let alone stand in line to spend ~$20k for it…
Yup .. my Phylida ‘No dime to buy’ watch actually has a better movement in terms of functionality 🤣. I REALLY don’t get the love people have for these watches? .. Perhaps they are something you really need to try for yourself for real but they seem so plain and boring. I can’t help but think that ‘Lange & Sohne’ make a far superior watch for the same price. Don’t get me wrong .. I’m not knocking this Patek .. if it works for you .. great. But I’m really amazed that the spec is this rough. It’s definitely not for me .. I far prefer my Bremont Kingsman. It maybe never be worth the dizzying heights of money that this Patek is worth .. but for nearly a 10th of the price I feel I’m getting way better bang for my buck.
why do you think it's oval? it has the same diameter 12 to 6 as 3 to 9. that's round. or do you include the lugs? well in that case every watch is oval.

The date window doesn't look good! It would look significantly better without a date.
it would look cleaner, yes. but i use my watch to tell the date all the time. i would miss the date window dearly.

Too Oval, the geometry and aesthetics don’t portray and do good character and reputation for Patek! Elongated and Oval head of the Watch, is Ugly!
