Good job on this video which I hope will discourage people from moving here!! LOL I’ve lived here for 60 yrs and I could tell you a lot about Az and the changes over the years. Love it here and would not live anywhere else but many do not like the heat and the traffic. Long ago the temp hit 124 degrees ( that’s when global warming didn’t exist)! North Scottsdale does get snow and I have video of it snowing in Chandler. The first McDonalds was on Central Ave, Phx. We dove 25 mi to go to the new McDonalds. Lots of wonderful memories of this entire state. The only freeways were I-60 and I-17. Buckeye rd was used to get from the west side to the airport which was one little terminal. Growing up we had a swimming pool. I could see into phx by standing at the top of our slide. There were only two high rises in Phx. There were a lot of four way stop sign intersections and no stop lights. Back then there were fields of farmland and you could go to the farms and pick grapes, bags of onions, tomato’s,etc. There was one sheriff in Litchfield Park and he spent his time driving around passing out candy to the kids he saw playing outside.I could go on. I have seen the Phx and surrounding areas explode over the years! Still like it here and glad I have all those memories before the explosion took place.
While the Haboobs are the wildest things to see when you are not from here, we have been really surprised that our pool hasn’t filled with dust. I don’t know why, but we haven’t experienced the mud or dust in the pool in any tangible way. The dust in general does seem to cause more allergy problems amongst everyone we know when it is not so noticeable. Nonetheless, we love living here!
We only had one summer where the haboob mucked up the pool - but it was three times and it drove me mad. But I love it here too despite all of it. Thanks for watching!
We love it too. And we actually aren't that much farther away in driving time from the ocean living here than when I loved in Oregon. Took us about 4.5 hours to drive to the coast from where we lived, and we can get to the CA beaches in about 5.5 hours from my house. I'm told Rocky Point is only about 4 hours, but we haven't made that journey yet.
I stayed in Yuma and Flagstaff and Cottonwood and Sedona for some time. Terrible horrible place. I would recommend that nobody ever go there. Stay away. It's not for you.

Great video! Really well balanced approach without trying to sugar coat the downside.
Thanks Brian! 🙏

I have lived in Arizona for the past 40+ years and love it! Only thing I miss is an ocean!

Everyone stays indoors all the time
The road rage in Tucson is terrible. I'm afraid to drive here
It's pretty terrible just about everywhere in the state, unfortunately.
SIL got valley fever😢
Sorry to hear that. I'm always amazed about how many people don't know about it - even the ones who've lived here for years.
Hungry man is good. I ate it last night. Very tasty.
Definitely go with the Fried Chicken over the Salisbury Steak :)

Nobody likes any of those places 😆
