    I moved here last September 2023.A couple things to add are this: Tucson AZ is an upland desert landscape that is the Horticultural Mecca of Southern Arizona. You have the intimate Tucson Botanical Gardens, Tohono Chul Park near Oro Valley, The Desert Museum in Saguaro West and the U of A Agricultural station with its many Gardens. Horticultural desert landscaping and gardening is a big part of this city's life especially for retirees along with Community Gardens. Also Tucson is big on Farmers markets and a biking community sponsored by GABA Tucson and the Cactus cycling club with many local rides especially on the 113 miles of bike paths

    What happened to Swamp colors. And the upgrade to swamp coolers with refrigerated water that works so effectively. It wasn’t until the invention of air conditioners that people moved here as a rather than a winter destination. What about the water conservation rights? Anyone buying a home Needs to look at the hundred deer window? You can’t take a decent shower? And you can’t flush your toilet? Oh yes, promote Tucson… Conservation for the desert? I am not an Eco person I’m talking about investing your dollar wisely… New construction builders are having a hard time finding proper labor. OH has pretty much disappeared with Covid and the current ministration. No, Tucson does not have bypass highways like Phoenix. Tucson does not have maintained pretty landscape around the major roads, I have lived here since 1971. You’re trying to promote your business. Good for you.

    Hi Kimberly I have a very big question about Tucson is Tucson one of the best cities to live in what are tucsonans like what is the attitude and social vibe of Tucson like are most people who live there very friendly where does Tucson fall on the list between America's best and worst cities are the people of Tucson open and like minded and easy to get along with what is the overall quality of life there

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  2 месяца назад

      I think the social vibe is very friendly and welcoming. Tucson feels more like a big town rather than a bustling city. There is a great blend of cultures and I find people are easy to get along with. If you are into great food, outdoors, sunshine, laid back lifestyle, etc., I think Tucson is great. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.😀. Reach out to me and I’ll tell you more!

    You have done a great job with this vlog! I would add more about our arts and culture and intellectual offerings. Because we are home to the top tier research Univerity of Arizona, we have prominent scholars, scientists, artists, researchers among our midst. Tucson Festival of Books is one of the best books festivals in the world! We also have a vibrant and diverse live music scene from hip hop festivals to jazz, classical, mariachi and cowboy music festivals!!
    We have are very literary and our libraries boast very high circulation numbers. Tucsonans are hip and do tend to follow fashion trends which you will see at galas and events.
    There is not much redlining here so you won't find many clusters of ethnic neighborhoods. But there are many fine excellent ethic restaurants, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, Japanese, African and the list goes on.
    Nature trails, river walks, are usually within 20 minutes away or less. Golfing, Tennis, Pickle ball , swimming and horse back riding are huge pastimes. It is town that loves highschool and college sports!!
    My favorite things about Tucson are the huge blue skies, the clean air and the friendly people who smile, say hello, and stop their cars for pedestrians!!

    I don't understand why there isn't an effort to pick up roadway trash. I have been driving past some of the same trash for months. It seems like the city government would want to show pride in the city by picking this up. Also there doesn't seem to be any code enforcement related to trash/cars/appliances sitting in front yards for all to see. Marana where I live seems to do a much better job of this.

    Thank goodness some of the older neighborhoods have been protected and designated to stay as they were. Do you remember when Goldwater was really great influence for state to make a strong. I’m not just talking about the department store. Good for you and your energy to build your business when Tucson has such a large drug and homeless community that is quite scary and the old neighborhoods are quite threatened. We’re not just talking new builds on the outskirts and the pretty stuff. Are you relieved for protecting and building Tucson?

    Are you talking textbook Spanish from Europe or you’re talking speaking Spanish for the locals that is totally totally two different animals they do not teach the local Spanish in schools!!! Few years ago the US disallowed the Mexican newspapers to post the pictures of the cartel and what they were doing just across their border. I live 30 miles from that border. We have fantastic loyal workers that come across the borders to build these houses and what they have to go through, whether you’re talking Agua Prieta Nas they come up here to work to build their lives. These are people that build these American homes. What are you promoting?

    Phoenix has more traffic because there’s more people. Tucson has not projected proper roadways. The 20 year projected improvements on I 10 have not come to pass. It’s not just north of Tucson from Tucson. Phoenix is also south with development to the south on I 10. no one supposed to notice?

    Anyone that talks about going to Nogales for any kind of medical care or it’s also very popular in the winter for Yuma for the senior citizens for dental and medical care. Do people realize that you have no recourse when anything is done wrong. That’s why we build America to take care of Americans. Anyone that crosses the border for medication or medical care has no safeguards.

    how are things going Kim? You look gorgeous! we ended up moving to north las vegas Nevada last year. May consider a move to Tucson in the future (now that we are used to the heat;) Tucson definitely has a vibe. My question would be, do you need to get your home sprayed for termites every year there? Heat actually starts in april in AZ and progressively gets hotter (for anyone who doesnt know reading the comments).

    • @TucsonArizona
      @TucsonArizona  4 месяца назад +2

      Most people get termite warranty treatments and inspections yearly or whenever recommended by the pest control companies. Just depends on the situation. 😀 So glad you are getting used to the heat!

    You spend 12 hours of your day in traffic because there is no interstate loop in Tucson. That time in your car would be cut in half with a loop around Tucson. I quit going to Tucson about 15 yrs ago because at the end of the day all I did was sit in traffic.
