Awesome editing and great info! Also, whoever did the camera work and filming must be a professional or something, the quality is amazing. Also, that guy at the end saying cars ruin cities, he’s spitting facts!
Great video! You showcased downtown and UofA area really nicely! Tucson is a great place to live and a great place to visit. You’ll have to do another video next time you come! 😄
It’s a beautiful place to live & bath in the sun! And watch the beautiful sunsets! & Mountain View’s from every corner in tucson! Or just bath in the hot tub or pool year round !
I love watching vlogs like yours, I grew up in Tucson and you started out in one of the areas I lived in as a kid. We lived on 6th Ave (behind Tucson High) and one of me & my little brothers favorite things to do was ride our bikes thru the 4th avenue street fair and going to the Dairy Queen. Thanks for making this video.
We do have an observation point. You can drive the road to the top of Sentinel Peak (A mountain), which is right across the freeway from downtown. Great views of the city. Or you can do a fairly easy hike to the top of Tumamoc hill - another great vantage point
The Fourth Avenue street fair is the best time to visit Fourth Avenue. The desert zoo is best visited when they’re having a raptor exhibition. Mount Lemon is worth the drive. The butterfly museum is great! I was there for my kid’s graduation, PhD in Biomedical Engineering so we didn’t have a lot of time to get real touristy but some things in general that are impressive is accessibility to bicycles, no light pollution so we enjoyed star gazing and some shooting stars one night, and finally the cost of groceries are less than the national average and almost every food truck had excellent food!
Hello, neighbor. I live up by Parker Canyon Lake, and travel to Tucson quite often to the great VA hospital and do many go-arounds while there. You mention the zoo and next to it the pool is, also, great. I noticed the Biomedical and I was in Bio-Electronics for Plant Science (pharmacognosy) during my working years, long since retired. I always feel a bit intrusive when I might ask a youngster about what is happening your field, now-adays. Best to you and yours. Happy Holidays.
Centennial Hall also has great shows year round, Holsclaw Hall hosts classical concerts, the AZ stadium is great for sporting events, Brooklyn Pizza, plenty of hiking trails, wildflowers, lush desert vegetation and plenty of wildlife, abounding farmers' markets!
What a great video, I have lived in Tucson area for 3 years and I have missed much of what’s here. You might add the Hidden Bario new folks can find all kinds of southwestern/ Mexican furniture and decorating stuff. Well done
Being a Tucson resident myself, it's nice to see someone appreciate our City, but for those of you from out of town, you should know the areas he focused on are a very specific, small portion of Tucson...most of Tucson is a typical Western US sprawl style city (unfortunately). We're not alone in this, we just made the same mistakes a lot of other towns/cities made....hopefully that'll change in the years to come, but just worth noting. If you wanted to live/play in the cool places he highlights, they're still pretty rare, so still expensive at the moment (high demand/low supply). You could probably entertain yourself in the highlighted areas for a vacation or something though.
I've lived here for 5 years, the first 2 because of covid or I would have left after one month. now I'm broke because my business never recovered from covid, so I'm stuck here, and i DO mean STUCK, Tucson is the middle of nowhere, and it's like the movie with Bill Murray living the same day over and over and over, ad infinitum. This town is in the middle of nowhere, a two hour drive to any civilization at all. If you want to live your life in the middle of nowhere, by all means move to Tucson, just make sure you have plenty of money saved up to get out when you get bored out of your mind in a month.
Yeah, no. I live in Tucson now, but I’ve lived in Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis and Chattanooga. ALL heads above Tucson. What does Tucson have above and beyond all those places? Homelessness, crime, no police presence, ungodly heat, bad water, no cold water from the tap, black widow spiders, scorpions… the negative list is endless. Seriously.
El Charro is booty no real tucson people go there it’s considered taco bell to us natives here 😂 mercado sucks cross the street to sonoren delights Menlo Park more authentic
Yes that is a good street food spot that I may include in the future. As for El Charro I spent much of my childhood in Tucson and my family still lives there and we’ve always loved it so 🤷♀️ to each there own!
@@Parker-GreenI would recommend some local street food favorites like Tacos Apson, Caramelo king, and Percherones. 12th and 6th street are just absolutely filled up with options of Mexican food with different styles and takes that really earned us the city if gastronomy aside from being linked to the creation of corn. I enjoy your videos keep coming back there is a endless amount of options it seems somtimes even for locals.
What a strange presentation by a strange man talking and walking backwards. This would have been worth watching if he had taken us in to at least some of the places instead of a non-stop recitation.👎
@@Parker-Green It's definitely not hate, simply my very disappointed impression of your presentation. If you are going to put yourself out to the public, you need to be able to take the criticism with the praise. And in my opinion, your review of Tucson, a city and area that I know well and love, was very superficial. But, if that's your style and you think that is good enough, then, que sera, sera.
@@Parker-Green Also, the walking backwards is dizzying after a minute of watching it, and keeping the camera focused on YOU instead of the subject matter, which you glossed over instead of taking the time to really show more of the unique businesses you briefly mentioned means you are more concerned about your image than the video content.
This isn’t criticism, you’re calling him strange which is a really backhanded “critique”. Hopefully you’re socialized enough to understand that?? You’ve also chosen to sidestep any positive notes, which would only be the case if you didn’t think his video had any merits. I don’t think you would care to comment if you didn’t find anything you liked in this video, so it’s telling you’ve left it entirely out of your malicious review
You’re seriously going to report a video (which has done literally nothing against RUclips’s community guidelines) because of your own dumbass opinion? Go back to bed, Karen.
Tucson hot 6 months of the year and can't enjoy the outdoors even back yard is 98 at night. Only the rich professionals can enjoy what is offered--nothing free to enjoy and only at night--one or two 'fairs' a year--boring. Stark differences between haves and have nots.
Personally, I believe that if you live somewhere cold or somewhere that has moderately nice weather, I would not suggest moving here as you would not enjoy most of the summer months as the cars and such can get quite hot, especially if it has a darker outside as that will attract heat much quicker. Most people I know have usually gone on trips when the hottest summer months arrive to avoid all the annoyance that it brings.

Lots of great looking recs!! Nice job
Thanks!
Tucson should have their own observation tower like how Seattle has the Seattle space needle, that would be awesome!

perfect timing for the video. Not a single homeless person made your review It looks like no one really made your vid 🤣

If visiting Tucson skip the OG El Charro location. Service is terrible there.

Downtown tucson is rather boring to me because theres really nothing for the family but if you like restaurants and bar then is great to go.
Shows “Tucson”
Shows 2 miles of Tucson
Yep! That’s why it says “Downtown Tucson” in the title😊
You forgot to show the other 98% of Tucson..... I wonder why. lmao.
….because it’s about Downtown Tucson.
I live here and I wouldn’t move here
I ❤ Tucson... Please don't come here & be rude or obnoxious...
Don’t come to old pueblo alot of homeless and illegal immigrants. Stay away.
If you ever come thru this city stop by Hippie Gypsy and say Whatsup!
I live here. Homeless everywhere. Drug attacks every where. Dirty streets pot holes everywhere. Gangs garbage everywhere Run
If you don't like it here move .. I'm sure Tucson will not miss you.
