That’s a really informative video. It’s been difficult up here in Canada with rising house prices, utility rates, and other expenses. Definitely moving down to Phoenix in the next year or so. So I really appreciate videos like this. Thanks !!
So glad that it was helpful! Appreciate you watching, and make sure you check back in a few weeks to see if you're the proud owner of one of the gift cards.
thank you so much for this a lot of people are moving here and it’s awful the cost of everything we went to doubled rent in 4 years i’m scared for the next 4
The cost has ballooned big time. But it has leveled off quite a bit so hopefully we won't experience anything like that again soon. Thanks for watching, and check back in a few weeks to see if you've won!
We got incredibly lucky with our timing to buy in QC. New build contract signed 7/2019 and closed 1/2020. Got great pricing and were able to refinance under 3% before everything went crazy.
Taxes are still great even with your higher ones. WOW. I have watched your other videos (water and others) and you keep the viewer engaged. Thanks for your efforts. We are looking to relocate permanently ASAP from Chicago.
So glad you enjoy the videos! I try my best to make them engaging and entertaining while still providing quality information. Would love to chat with you more if you're looking to move (you can click on the link next to "Work With Me" in the pinned comment to book a call with me). And make sure you check back in a couple weeks to see if you've won one of the gift cards!
Hey Brian, awesome video! My sister and Mom moved to Arizonia in 2017. In October my girlfriend and flew out to visit. We made another trip in May and I went out again in June. We enjoyed the people, the landscape and the relaxed attitude in comparison to our area ofPennsylvania.. Great job with the video and that pool and backyard!!
Loved the video… moved here last year and we move into our home this weekend. It’s DOUBLE what our home cost in the Midwest 😅 but it’s what we want. I’m looking up Presidential pools and spas now 😊 got some light fixtures in my Amazon cart and that $100 would be right on time 😂
@GlmrGrl98 Guess what? Luck was on your side, and you're a winner! Send an email to brian@azdreamin.com and I'll forward the gift card to you. Thanks for playing!
Great breakdown on cost of living in Mesa! How is the Community Facilities District Charge calculated for new home builds? And are certain areas of Phoenix more expensive to insure due to wildfire or flood planes?
Glad you enjoyed it! Not all communities have a CFD. Some new build communities do and others won't, and the amount will depend on how much the developer financed, how many homeowners are sharing the cost, and how long the debt will take to be repaid. And yes, some areas are going to be more expensive due to wildfire around the metro.

You are in good shape! QC has blown up and is only going to be more popular in the coming years.

Really appreciate that you just laid out the expenses. Did you mention what you pay for the HOA?
Glad that it was helpful! I didn't mention that specifically just because there's so much variation to that, but mine are $126 monthly.

These costs seem really reasonable for such a large area!
I agree - it's very affordable for a city that's this size with warm weather.
Insurance is through the effing roof. Merciless! In AZ
Nice video, have you met any ppl from Chicago? Because it seems like Phoenix is the #1 destination for retired Chicagoans 🤣
I have indeed met many people from Chicago...and I'm thankful that they brought Portillos and Lou Malnati's pizza with them!
That's better than CA!
Definitely better than CA!
Short answer... no!
Opportunism at it's finest. SKYROCKETING! SNORE.
