My deepest thanks For sleepless night very best ever can be ... and it's Martha's Chopin renditions, that I'm looking already 2 years. Something from childhood, from my mom Thanks again
Beautiful performance of these nocturnes. The Nocturne in C minor, Op. 48, no. I think 1 is the most beautiful, but that is a matter of taste. Argerich is great and does it great. Beautiful old recording. There is nothing more to add to that.
Come on! More colorful beautiful piano sound than Argerich=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Radu Lupu Artur Rubinstein Vladimir Ashkenazy Grigory Sokolov! More genius than Argerich=Sviatoslav Richter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Stanislav Bunin Maria Grinberg! More powerful louder than Argerich=Mikhail Pletnev! The Second Loudest ever was Lazar Berman! The 3rd Loudest was Erwin Nyiregyhazi! Horowitz his technique attack better than Argerich's technique!!
Archerich also performs lyrical works so brilliantly. Her crystal-clear piano tone goes so well with Nocturne. It's so transparent and beautiful. Especially, the Nocturne op.48 no.1 performance is really great.
That’s her major gift - she never deviates from honouring the piece too much, but makes it both better and adds a distinctive stylistic flourish, but not as a whole embellishment that makes it something totally different like I see Kissin doing; playing pieces as if they were his own a lot of the time. She’s a perfect mix of style, and improvement on the regular honoured performance. Her 48 here, and everything on Gaspard De Le Nuit is a great example of this fact.
Not True! Argerich not the Greatest! More beautiful colorful piano sound than Argerich=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Artur Rubinstein Radu Lupu Vladimir Ashkenazy! More Powerful Louder than Argerich=Mikhail Pletnev Supernova Explosion Power!( Prokofiev piano concerto no 1 by Pletnev!) The Second Loudest pianist was Lazar Berman! More Genius than Argerich=Sviatoslav Ruchter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Alexei Lubimov Stanislav Igolinsky!
op 48 #1 is magnificent - by far the best performance I've ever heard. Her sense of rhythm is amazing - it almost swings - and puts to shame others' efforts in this regard, including some very big names
Those musicians who has art in their heart are not shaming anyone that's not their purpose, but express every kind of feeling by their art for those who are listening them
well, not to say always, but often she shows up the special Russian custom to catch those short runs toward a longer tone in an inquiet, rushing manner, undoing the grace of her virtuous playing.
Is op.27-2 a live recording? Argerich didn't record, right? I've never heard of such a wonderful op.27-2 ... 🥺 I'm glad to hear this Nocturne. Thank you for posting!
In the first nocturne op 15 no 1 she offers one of the best interpretations I've ever heard especially in the middle section that crescendo at the beginning is gorgeous but her interpretation of op 48 no 1 is awful, its like she's bored of it and plays it superficially for me. The best interpretation of the op 48 no 1 i think is definitely Rubinstein's , he really gives to it justice.
Cierto.
It’s the dopio movemento which means 2 times as fast, and to give some context this piece was supposedly written(1841) after the Russian invasion (1831) of Warsaw Poland (Chopins home country) so I think when’s it’s faster like this or like lisitsa it sounds right! Feels sorrowful but that fire and angst really comes out when it’s played fast! When your comsumed by emotion things run a lot faster in your head, I think that was the case with this piece, suppose to play fast at the end after a slow build up to a release of energy! Although the octaves where a little too fast imo but still sounds good.
Thank you so much, Max, for posting these gems. Really helped me get through a rough patch a few months back.

Absolutely incredible depth and nuance expressed in this performance.
So much passion without sacrificing technique or phrasing. Wow!

Unbelievable that it was played by a human...the notes sound like they came floating from a heaven somewhere
Adoro essa PIANISTA é uma lenda viva
Excepcional
So many pedestrian Chopin players on youtube. Not her! Flows forward, backward, and upside down little tides of grace.
To me that’s how Chopin should sound. Like a feather in the breeze, it rises, and rolls, gets speed and suddenly slows down and gently lands
Magnificent! Adorable performance. Thank you. Love it.
MAGNIFICA INTERPRETACION

Parece que tocara una computadora. Quiere una buena versión, escuche Rubinstein,Arrau, Hofman.
So patient and Lovely!

I dont know if I prefer Martha Argerich or Guiomar Novaes for that piece... Both amazing.

Amazing !!!!

For those who say Martha is always running through music...
well, not to say always, but often she shows up the special Russian custom to catch those short runs toward a longer tone in an inquiet, rushing manner, undoing the grace of her virtuous playing.
Excelente
merci marta
Marta, Marta, Martita, only you...

Superb!
Op. 48, n 1, é um dos meus preferidos!

Awesome! Has there ever been a greater pianist than Martha? I doubt it.
Grazie Max ;)
Que los dioses te abaniquen Max.

the op. 48 No 1 is great. Never heard it like this even the pieces very famous,
Max la conociste hace poco🤗! Felicitaciones

Compuso... Compuso.
Y love ...
Meravigliosa Martha Argerich
Nata per essere .... *Chopin*, al femminile
Incomparable!

I lost everything
I don’t think her fingers are even touching the keyboard!
indeed they don't! the music is coming from above
so funny to see the c minor one as your portrait.
Martha Argerich plays Chopin’s nocturnes beautifully, but nobody plays Chopin better than Rubinstein
She is a great pianist, however some parts of Shopin sound quite rough, I can't help it but hearing it differently, still passionate but not as rough
Your spelling of Chopin is rough.
BAM!
No it isn't, it sounds like Shopen, exactly as you hear but I don't buy that "Soft-Chopin" idea at all, it's not justified by his music.
Yes, i needs to be rough. Our time is rough, culture is dying.
Strange. Do you really think so? What other Algerich do you like, and don't like? So i can better understand your statement. @@lonelywanderer2467

George L Gilels gives op. 48 no. 1 a wonderful treatment! Have you ever listened to it?
@@MaxLima1 i've just listened to it and i agree with you , it's a unique interpretation and you get the feeling of respect he gives to it
Martha bullied Nocturnes
I don't like her playing of op. 48 no. 1 in the third section. It's too fast.
Cierto.
