The most flabbergasting thing this woman has said is that past trauma has no effect on how Amber behaved in this relationship. How is this woman in practice. We all know that our past trauma's cause us to react in certain ways with current events.
Even small stuff you were told as a kid has a big effect on how you translate things as an adult. Silly woman.

@@Martin-ep6xu Idk about make them aware you were recording, they can take phone and delete and flip out on you if they know, but putting distance between you and them and being very quiet OR placing a phonecall and being silent while pretending the person on the line is talking so you have an obvious audio witness are both things I have seen/done myself and would expect.
Definitely not egging them on or continuing to wind them up, though. That's not what anyone who's scared of that behavior being a lead up to violence against them would want or think to do.

The expressions on Amber's face when she's listening to the recordings is hysterical. She's not sure how to act them, it's like she's trying to decide how somebody would react if it were real, but she's just not sure (wait, should I look wistful or hurt?) so she keeps changing her expressions, and then defaulting back to that so very sad face.

That recording when Johnny says “if I am the culprit…” he is so clearly the victim of severe gaslighting. He is trying to placate his narcissist wife , who has entirely convinced him that he is broken and this is his fault. She is using what she knows of his trauma history to abuse him. The courts are so behind in terms of coercive control and reactive abuse. His abuse of amber heard (verbal) was REACTIVE abuse. This type of coercive abuse by personality disordered people makes you believe you are the problem and you grovel your get back the golden period when they acted like someone who loved you. I feel for Johnny so much.

She clearly stated she reviewed ALL the testimonials given by Depp, ALL the recordings and video footages, ALL the notes written by their joint conselors etc.
And she never claimed she knows everything. Her findings are based upon the evidence she examined. The evidence is 6 years spread out. She is not claiming to be there when domestic violence did or did not happen. But no one else was there apart from depp and heard.
Curry had previously mentioned that Heard has severly exaggerated PTSD. The narrative she and Depp's team are trying to build is that she has exaggerated PTSD, hence her claims of Domestic Abuse are also exaggerated.
Believe whom you want to, but atleast listen to what each party has to state objectively.
How as an expert can you just rule out anything and expert wrote that you disagree with without talking to the expert? That is just not how any medical professional functions. Even if you are totally biased, you HAVE to talk to them just for the sake of showing you did duue diligece and you were not convinced. Like this is basic stuff even med students know

You can literally tell in the audio recording that she's intentionally saying and asking things trying to paint Johnny a certain way. It's not hard at all to tell she's trying to manipulate things. If anything, these audios make her looks worse not better and the fact that she doesn't see that just shows how egotistical and lost in her own world she is.

The fact that there are so many secret recordings is incriminating in itself. Why record these conversations if you don't already have plans to use them. If you are recording you can steer the conversation in one direction or another without the other person knowing.
Another point is that she knows she is being recorded, she aware that she has to behave a certain way. The only evidence in these videos is how Johnny behaves and not what Amber is doing

I really don't understand how the court cannot see that Amber has huge violence history with pass ex partners and family fights while Johnny has had not 1 ex partner say 1 bad thing about in with anything. especially with Abuse. I mean, of course they will let them finish. This is their witness. They want them to talk and won't interrupt them. JDs lawyers are trying to do the same (interrupting) but they aren't as aggressive in "shutting up" the witness.
That's because, as Amber's witness, council does a direct examination with open ended questions leading to the construction of a narrative that favors the side that called the witness. It is up to the opposing council to try discredit this narrative on cross examination through yes/ no questions effectively discrediting the narrative. This is Amber's witness, so her lawyers have to let the witness create a narrative by asking open ended questions. Then johny's lawyers will cross examine the witness with yes/no questions

Hmmm. I am def biased for Johnny, but I have observed that more than one witness speaks to the jury, including Dr. Curry, who seemed to me to give very respectful, composed, interesting testimony.

Example: he wasn't aware of the recording she made when she begged to meet with him and followed him to his hotel room in San Francisco just a few days after she filed for divorce and got a restraining order against him based on unsupported allegations of physical abuse. Also, the day he got upset when he discovered someone stole a lot of money from him. He was minding his own business in the kitchen when she entered and immediately started to record him without his knowledge. In that instance, she kept trying to provoke him until he found her recording device and threw it in the trash before leaving. So...I say all that for those who may not be aware of the evidence in this case and ignorantly accuse others of bias. She secretly recorded him and then put on a show for the recordings to try and make herself look good. I struggle to find her humanity.

@Zero Zero Depp’s forensic psychologist did an actual psychological evaluation of Amber though with the MMPI test alongside reviewing a bunch of other documents pertaining to Heard’s mental health and how she conducts herself. Dr. Curry even said that her role as an expert wasn’t to assess whether any crimes happened (whether Depp/Heard were actually abusers), but only to present the facts. So Dr. Curry couldn’t assess Depp because she didn’t evaluate him. She didn’t overstep her boundaries and only provided information pertaining to her psychological assessment of Heard. Amber’s psychologist is certainly overstepping her boundaries by making accusations against Depp despite any contact, evaluation, or evidence.
I love that Mr Depp is multitasking- it shows his genius. He is sharp mentally.
He’s likely doing it so he doesn’t have any negative reactions on his face. So it’s pretty smart tbh.

I'm a woman, but I don't agree with what she was doing. I've also got personal damage from living with an alcoholic (ocd) so I'm probably not automatically on either side, as i dislike people who drink to excess, but I definitely think the primary aggressor here, from listening to the audio, was Amber. I feel live Dr Curry was the most believable of the psychologists, the defence one seemed to have a gender bias right off the bat.

@@divakujoshi585 i think it was, imo depp’s lawyers had only to point out that everything she said yesterday was what amber told her. That’s very important because it has already been pointed out that amber has lied multiple times during this process
agree and i think they did a great job with cross-exam. i just wish he had clarified that when she was using gender-specific pronouns early in her testimony for laying a foundation, she was not speaking about AH or JD yet. she was speaking in general terms and absolutely showing bias towards female victims. Karen pretty much misled him when answering the question (or lied).
In my opinion, he showed her bias( on ambers side, using her/she continuously) to the jury. 1. He questioned her statements she made that made it seem that man can’t be abused, and how she belittled and called ‘low level violence’ that he received. 2. she recounted all these stories as if it was facts when their wasn’t any evidence from witness testimonies, all based on ambers words after Johnny was suing her (not very professional if I do say so, very hearsay). She wasn’t their so how does she know? 3. He showed that she didn’t do the test correctly for ptsd, in fact, she changed and added more to it after dr. Curry did the test (alluded), and before (a month ) before the trial. She also didn’t fill out the test properly which is so important!! 4. He proved she only had experience with women and same sex domestic violence, and not where men were abused by women. 5. He proved that amber (based on HER notes told by amber) had intimate relations with Franco in dec 2015, Elon in may 2016, and she divorced Johnny in June 2016. How was he controlling and jealous then? 6. He alluded to ambers DM arrest with ex wife (she closed her eyes so hard on that one! Panicked real hard!) 7. Lastly he got her to say that based on alllll the evidence he showed her, at the end she admitted he sustained violence in the relationship (when showed picture and audio recording, witness statements). He closed his case on her in fact with that end note. I believe I got everything above right lol let me know if I missed something!

I have something to say about this lady, she should not be in practice. Trauma is not one dimensional and if her past trauma doesn't or has not influenced her to exhibit anxiety disorder prior to this then this lady should not be practicing. Infact her past trauma could be the reason why she has abused Debb when they are in an argument. Infact her past trauma influences her reflexes just like Debbs influences his to walk away like a baby (the words of Heard).
Infact her past trauma should have been a deciding factor and could have been her great defense mechanism as to why she acted aggressively towards Debb. She could have infact used it as a reason why she may have viewed her self as a victim and ended up making Debb the abuser.

It's interesting that she refers to the "monster" as someone who hits Amber, yet in all of those tapes Amber does not say the monster hits her, the monster stays upset and leaves her all the time, which is consistent with Johnny always trying to take space when things got heated.

This person gives psychologists a bad name. As a clinical social worker I've seen this far too often with psychologists who tend to be people who want so badly to be taken seriously but too lazy to be a psychiatrist. They are overpaid hacks. This one takes the cake.
She also isn't really following usual standards of care. Most therapists would interview both partners in a relationship, otherwise you only get one view of the problem.
Besides the fact that everyone and their uncle believes they have PTSD, and self report would support a DSM diagnosis. BUT you are supposed to use the clinician administered PTSD interview/questionnaire in order to determine the diagnosis. Just like the Veterans Administration does.

You don't "administer" the DSM. The DSM is a list of pathologies and their symptoms. It's more like a dictionary with codes so that you can bill the insurance company.
Considering that AH was admittedly already going to therapists WELL BEFORE she filed for divorce, and also BEFORE JD filed this lawsuit against her…why would her legal team have to enlist yet another ‘new’ therapist, to analyze her in preparation to testify as to AH’s mental state, for this trial?! Why would they not simply use the therapists who AH had gone to BEFORE JD filed this lawsuit, for testimony?! After all..that’s who would know the truth, more accurately than someone hired to analyze ‘after’ the lawsuit was filed. Naturally, someone with a personality disorder is going to simply say whatever they need to say, through these online questionnaires and during the therapy sessions…to suit their own side of the legal case. It’s so manipulated…it’s nauseating.

I've had a lot of men tell me their ex or current partner would film them when drunk or on drugs and then use it to emotionally blackmail them. This is a huge problem in our society.

There is such a stark difference in their delivery. I found Dr Curry very likeable and easy to listen to, I had to switch ‘this one’ off half way through because I was getting so irritated by her and the ‘poor woman’ spiel 😅.

The problem with this is that Heard's legal team has been doing exactly this to date with every single witness that was viewed as being against Heard and it has been allowed. Any statement can be misconstrued if presented in partials and be vastly different in meaning from the intended statement. And the judge has consistently allowed this so far from Heard's lawyers.
And not considering all those headlines and allowing them, WTF.

Even though these recordings are supposed to paint Amber as the victim, it really does the opposite. If you listen to how Johnny acts in the tapes, how Amber pretends to almost cry in court and how Amber talks to Johnny in the tapes, you can clearly hear how she is the aggressor.
yep, she basically backs up that he tends to leave the situation/remove himself when their arguments get heated. Amber refers to a monster, but at no point does she say he hits/hurts her when the monster shows up. Yet she admits to hitting Johnny in the very audio clip earlier on. Saying somebody acts like a monster doesn't mean they go around clubbing their partners

When she was answering Johnny's lawyers questions she looked at him and when she was answering Amber's lawyer she was performing to the jury.
When I see the psychologists expressions it looks a lot like 'Oh god, why did I take this job. That's a train wreck. I want to go home.' when there is a lull in the procedures and she feels unobserved. And I feel it is significant that she always avoids to look at the person that asked her to give an answer. That's the behavior of someone who lies to avoid eye contact.

As a person with BPD myself, it’s extremely clear that Amber has at least symptoms of BPD if not full BPD. I’m against diagnosing people when you’re not an expert and privy to all the details of their life and behaviour. But this is so blatantly clear!!!!
Notice how Turd's lawyer Elaine was asking more open-ended questions to this psychologist, but to Dr. Curry, Elaine only asked yes/no questions.
AH legal team is only playing parts of the audio tape that benefit her case. She taped without permission so why would it be allowed in court?
It isn't illegal to record conversations that you're a part of, even if the other person is unaware.

How can anyone especially a professional listen to that tape that last tape segment and think it’s anything other than total sociopathic manipulation. The way she includes her self in what they need to do and work on is entirely different from how Johnny includes himself in what they need to do and work on. He does not want to upset her so he is trying to include himself in the blame for the violent fights. She is including her self, especially in that weak little sentence at the end, to manipulate him, to keep him underfoot. She grabs what he says about de-escalation and turns it into “I have a RIGHT to be mad” which he then cannot help but agree with and point out the obvious fact that she doesn’t allow him that ‘anger space’ or whatever the f-. At which point she repeats his original point back at him in different words, and frames it such that change needed to handle their fights better is something HE needs to live up to. THATS when she includes herself meekly at the end, this false-reconciliation false-productive convo.

Bias shows when she says things they didn't like "when the violence comes and HE hurts her and hits her", none of that was said by them during this convo. Yes, AH refers to the monster, but that could mean many things like slamming cabinet doors, saying things out of frustration, hitting a wall or walking away. It simply denotes a change in someone who may be drunk, high or angry, but doesn't necessarily mean physical violence. I say this because from experience, my deceased husband would get like that when drunk on Jack, but he never hit me or abused me, we called it the Stranger. Anyway, my point is that this so called professional put words in their mouths and that is bs. It isn't illegal, immoral or violent to argue with your spouse, just frustrating. Also, regarding him saying "when I cut my finger off" doesn't literally mean He did it, most of us would phrase it like that especially if you are trying to protect your loved one from prosecution/persecution. Having seen many severe injuries, that looked more like a crush injury, not a person cutting themselves.

They can't talk about the "man slaughter" charge from when she was 16 years old, because she was underage.
That would look bad for them actually, for it was “vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated” which has nothing to do with abuse. That would be seen as desperate for JD’s team wouldn’t be accusing her for defamation (which is what this trial is about), but accusing her for anything they can (which is what AH’s team seems to be doing since they are desperate).
