Big thumbs up for your views! I have never been a heavy drinker but as an introvert it did grease the social wheels, when I was younger. Now in my 75th year, I find that alcohol upsets my digestion and makes me sleep really badly. So now the "benefits" of alcohol are so outweighed by the drawbacks that I am also contemplating giving it up completely...It's not easy but sometimes you just have to listen to your body.
I don't drink anymore. Couldn't deal with the hangovers after 30. I find a lot of places now offer non-alcoholic beer and wine. If they don't have that, I get a coke zero or soda water. People are more accepting if you say "I'm not drinking at the moment" (taking a break for health reasons etc). They don't like the absolute of "I don't drink". It makes them realise they probably shouldn't be drinking either and they get upset.
My husband drinks but I rarely do. My go to is club soda with a splash of juice when in social situations. Everyone thinks I’m drinking and just doesn’t pay attention. I also say I’m the designated driver. As for being the only sober one it can be annoying but I just “people watch”
@@lalablotz7348 People watching is my favorite thing! I need to "pre-decide" on a few alcohol free drinks so that I'm not left undecided in the moment and default to having a drink just to fit in.😊

@julianbutler6298 I am seeing that most people find it disrupts their sleep, especially as they get older.😊

@egl3369 It's so weird to me how upset it makes others...I love that tip just saying I'm taking a break. 🤗🤗🤗

People like fasting. I bet you can get more views talking about intermittent fasting.
