So I was there yesterday (November 27th 2019) and my brother and I were the only ones on the first train. Cant't believe how much this thing hauls even with only two passangers at the beginning of the day. They even sent the other train empty to duel us. Shoutout to the TC crew and the new guy getting trained!
For the past few months the TC crew has been consistently keeping the trains dueling. I've been to MM over ten times since July and I've dualed at least on one side 3almost every ride. The ability to dual is dependent on how fast passengers get in and out of the cars. And they've been really great at getting people out and into cars quickly.
This is exactly why Twisted Colossus is my favorite coaster at Magic Mountain: AIRTIME!!! Keeps me outta my seat everytime!!! edit: You're correct.......tear out that crappie Giovanola "goliath" and give Magic Mountain a *REAL* B&M AIRTIME MONSTER....GOLIATH 2.O!!!
I have a love hate relationship with TC. It’s so fun but man, the first drop and the huge airtime hills before the high-five feel like Mike Tyson uppercutting my stomach. 😂
I used to 100% agree about the camelback being number 1, but on the rides I got earlier this month, the head chopper drop on blue side consistently gave insane airtime that's hard to prepare for even when you know it's coming. It might just be my current favorite element. The ride I'm thankful for is Manta at my home park SeaWorld SD. Despite its smaller stats, it's got strong positive and negative G's in an infinitely re-rideable package.
I grew up with Colossus! It’s my all time favorite roller coaster. So many fun times and memories that I will never forgot. You had to have been there when Colossus was fresh. It had airtime. A floating kind of airtime and it had so many head chopper moments and fast!! Yes Colossus was fast. With that said I love Twisted Colossus! The makeover put Colossus in beast mode! To me it’s Colossus… beloved … but with teeth, a strong kick and of course a twist! ❤️❤️🎢🎢
I'm glad someone from my home park said it.... Goliath is trash lol. They should RMC it. Throw some T-Rex track on it and bring it up to 300+ ft, then put an actual Hyper somewhere else in the park. Just wishful thinking😅
Fantastic video! This is a coaster that’s very high up on my bucket list. Mabey even at the top. To get a breakdown like this is great and my favorite part was the pause and zoom of the glasses 👍👍
6:17 I approve of this statement, back in 2017 I went with my friends to Magic Mountain for a band competition. We went on this one last and he forgot to take his flip phone out of his pocket. I stopped hearing it rattle right at this element. Turns out it flew out and broke, so he had to get a new one. He said it was worth it, since twisted colossus is our favorite coaster at Magic Mountain. Good times, good times.
Twisted Colossus has to be one of if not my favorite RMC with just how wild it is! (I also find it funny to flip off the blue train on the top gun stall, like in the move top gun lol)
FINALLY rode this coaster on March 1st and my goodness it really is that INSANE!! Instantly became my number 1! And I agree with most of your list too, except my fav moment is the top gun stall, especially when dueling. Absolutely epic moment!
I rode TC for the first time last weekend, and I'm really pleased to see this video while it's still fresh in my mind...yet bummed because I don't know when I'll have a chance to ride it again. The stall was the highlight for me, especially at night, but I'd love a few more rides to appreciate some of the underrated elements.
Just rode TC this week and holy craaaap! It was phenomenal! The best element to me was back seat on the Top Gun Stall where it jus drags you down while your body is trying to fly out! Absolutely amazing!!
Goliath feels like the lead roller coaster at Six Flags even though it's not great. I really love what they did to Twisted Colossus, the track design is great, but I'm disappointed the they removed most of the extra white wooden pieces that were around the coaster, cause it just looks empty. The companies at every park in the US, should staring making at least two Racing coasters every 4 years. I've never been to Six Flags, but hopefully I'll be able to travel out there in 2022. People need to make more POV's on roller coasters at night. Great job on the video and keep up the good work.
This is a great list! I have a couple personal tweaks though. I can never never keep my hands up on the pre high five air time element so it’d be hard to put it below the long airtime under the top gun stall (plus that only happens once ha). Its really great cuz it’s easier to take in due to the length of airtime but I doesn’t scare the crap out of me as much so they are pretty much a wash. When the trains are racing I would rate the green track high five a little higher because the odd banking makes you notice the other car more which is always super fun. Personally, I think the top gun stall is my favorite element. They did their calculations so well when they built it I always feel this perfect balance where I can’t feel the seat on my butt or the lap bar on my legs for such a long time. It’s the part of the ride I always remember the most. And when they are racing, you see the other train come shooting underneath you as you’re in this zen like moment. It’s unbelievable 😋. My 2 cents ✌️
Most roller coaster enthusiasts in California are spoiled and don’t really appreciate TC and Ghost rider. Thanks for giving us spoiled coaster enthusiasts in SoCal something to be thankful for around thanksgiving
Honestly, my favorite ride at magic mountain is the Twisted Colossus. My but comes off the seat so many times and I get that lovely falling feeling and I never hit my head. I love that ride. It’s just beautiful.
I agree that the blue sustained floater is a very underrated element. That really took me by surprise on my rides and was probably my 2nd favorite element. I was even calling it sustained ejector. Maybe it's because I'm a featherweight, but it felt like ejector to me, and that made it even better. My favorite element is the zero-G stall, especially after my one and only duel.
im most thankful for NTG. Homepark, and its 1 of 2 coasters that turned me into an enthusiast. and it began what created this. not my favorite coaster by any means, but im most thankful for its creation.
I can't watch this video yet because I haven't been to Magic Mountain and i'd like to go in blind for all the rides. just came here to drop a like, i'll be going to California for the first time next month. i'll come back to this video
This is on my bucket list. One of my good friends got on it. He said it was weird but awesome. I met this girl in my running group who’s from CA. Ahe’s GP and likes Goliath. I had to tell her that she was sadly misinformed if she thought it was that good.
I’m thankful for Wicked Cyclone because it made a huge impact on me when I rode it back in 2015 and every year since then. I’m also thankful for El Toro for inspiring me to become a true enthusiast
Had the chance to ride Twisted Colossus for the first time yesterday & it totally lived up to the hype. Plan on riding again tomorrow, but this time gonna sit in back.
I am thankful for Ravine Flyer II and being able to ride it so often. She had some stand up airtime this summer! Can't wait to hit the SoCal parks soon!
I think the high five on the green track might be my favorite because it looks like it would be really uncomfortable, but ends up being really nice (and my least favorite is the second down on the double down just after that because it sort of jerks you to one side and isn't all that Pleasant >.>)
Inching closer to 200 rides on this thing. The back left seat is the way to go. I think the pre high five hills may be my favorite element. Such strong air time on these things. The camelback and the stall are great but I thing these hills are #1 for me. I also thing the drop is better than the floater hill to end the ride. I used to like the double down on the green track, but I rode Lightning Rod this year and that element on Twisted Colossus has been ruined forever. The quad down is my favorite element on any coaster.
It always amazes me how little credit is given to this ride by coaster enthusiasts. It could be because there's a TON more parks on the east coast than on the west coast, making it easier and cheaper to get to many of them with way more coasters on offer. I really think this is one of RMC's best and deserves way more love than it gets.
The breakrun wasn't always that bad. I even remember when it didn't have one. Too many blackouts in the helix due to the train entering into it fullspeed caused the breakruns to slow it down so drastically. But I honestly hate it now. The breakruns slow it down too much.
@@Hervinbalfour I know it wasn't. I rode it when it wasn't like it is today. That's why I'm saying kill it. People need to quit being wimps and black out.

T.C is the best roller coaster on the planet, it's one of those coasters you want to ride over and over and over again, and I've been on all of them...
I’m most thankful for Hyperion at energylandia because it is my second favorite Intamin and will it be the ride I ridden the most? Let’s see after zadra opens
During my first time riding every ejector airtime moment my legs felt like snapping. I had to be stapled in because im really tall with large thighs. It hurt like hell every dang time, and i wanted it to end. I blame the shin guards but i understand why they are needed
I just went two days ago and I go on colossus at least once every times I go to SFMM, fo you know if it’s safe to put your hands up during all the ride because I put my hands up and I felt like I was going to fly off my seat so I put them down 😢 but I still like this ride 😃
"The problem we had in California..." Bro, in the country I live we have 2 permanent coasters. A Gravity Group woodie and a Zamperla Tivoli style family coaster. Even the smallest parks in Cali have more coasters than Ireland.

That point abt Goliath is something I think abt constantly. Like the biggest thing SFMM needs at this point is a hypercoaster but we’ll never get a second one obviously. Maybe a giga but that’s seems very unlikely. Shit sucks haha
Some say that before Twisted Colossus, this channel was called ‘Time Thrills’
This right here.... is the reason I have not killed myself.
BlueSerpent GameZ good boi

I love this intense coaster!
Twisted colossus is currently my #1
geametrikeet101 I can see that.
Same, it is so good though railblazer is a close second
Coaster Genius I will be riding Railblazer soon
X2 is mine, it's just a shame the soundtrack doesn't sync up properly anymore, if it's even on; it's as bad as TC's duels -.-
0MindSwept0 I love X2 but I like TC more
You should definitely make this a series by doing it will all the major RMC's and other coasters like Fury
Definetly agreed
This is exactly why Twisted Colossus is my favorite coaster at Magic Mountain: AIRTIME!!!
Keeps me outta my seat everytime!!!
edit: You're correct.......tear out that crappie Giovanola "goliath" and give Magic Mountain a *REAL* B&M AIRTIME MONSTER....GOLIATH 2.O!!!
That'll never happen because of how cheap Six Flags is nowadays, but we can all hope
Fiery Lion Gaming wishful thinkin'....I know.
(Or just go ride Titan(a downgraded B&M hyper but upgraded Goliath) at over Texas)
That's called Goliath at Over Georgia
Honestly they can remove Goliath & Scream and use all that land for a proper B&M hyper!
Me: sees my favorite coaster
Also me: clicks on imeadeatly
Luis Reyes immediately* cmon man autocorrect can’t even correct that
Me: doesn't care
Luke your so right I tried 3 times for a good autocorrect but I got incorrect corrections every time

@@lukestreams5956 your right
Airtime Thrills, your video ideas never cease to amaze me! I am definitely thankful for Wicked Cyclone. RMC never fails!
Thank god Magic mountain is my home park. That means we’re going to get spoiled more than any other parks.
TBS Blitzen SFOT is rising through the ranks and so is Great Adv
Luke Streams yeah Great Adventure is looking great
TBS Blitzen great adventure is finally going to get a rollercoaster and jersey devil looks great
I love how creative your video topics are! They are always unique!
This is down right true
I have a love hate relationship with TC. It’s so fun but man, the first drop and the huge airtime hills before the high-five feel like Mike Tyson uppercutting my stomach. 😂

Lovely video!
Opening comment on Goliath - THANK YOU! ! ! At last, someone actually says it.
#1 element:
The lift hill
From the parking lot the lift hill seems small, but when you’re on the ride it is extremely intimidating.
Twisted colossus is my number one as of this day, thank you TC for being so good

I love goliath It's currently 2nd in my list Twisted Colosus is 1 for me
When the little brother (twisted colossus) outshines the the big brother (Goliath)
Dylancool890 Why did Six Flags think that Giovanola was a good idea?
Dosware Pictures Because it’s cheaper than a B&M and the majority of people who go to Magic Mountain aren’t enthusiasts and for them it won’t make a difference
Røcky it was 2000 Six Flags opened 20 coasters that year.
Regarding Goliath ... does it's Mid Course Break Run kill the excitement as much as Titan's does?
Pretty much
#2 on this list is #1 in my opinion, that first hill is fuckin insane
What happened to the original big white colossus i grew up riding in the 80s and 90s

That point abt Goliath is something I think abt constantly. Like the biggest thing SFMM needs at this point is a hypercoaster but we’ll never get a second one obviously. Maybe a giga but that’s seems very unlikely. Shit sucks haha
Of course the solution is to RMC Goliath into Twisted Goliath, an airtime machine with a taller, steeper drop and no MCBR. Lol
Harsh words for Goliath! Also... im so drunk now
