I went on X2 with my friend during a school field trip. Ive known my friend for a long time and SFMM was his first ever theme park. He is a very quiet person so I was already excited to see his reactions. We first went on Tatsu, which was his first ever roller coaster, and surprisingly, he didnt scream in fear, he actually enjoyed it. Towards the end of the day, we went on X2. When putting on the vest restraint, he was starting to get worried as he thought it wasnt tight enought. Ride attendant came, checked 2x, said he was fine. Once we were on the lift hill, he was getting even morw worried. Then came, THE DROP, it was insane and he screamed out of actual fear! I was scared too but after hearing him scream, I kept laughing throughout the ride. Best ride experience ever!
I like how basically all of these are Werner Stengel and Alan Schilke. Their both madmen and I love them for the insane crap they put on roller coasters.
X2 was and still is the only roller coaster to ever genuinely scare me, I took my first ride in the very last row, on the outside seat on the ride side, and it was the most intense thing ever, and I loved it
I love how, even when I only see it in a video, I can FEEL the force of the pretzel loop on Tatsu... I love the dive into it, but it feels like the bottom of it feels like it takes forever. 10/10, favorite coaster at SFMM. I haven't been on any other flying coasters, but I definitely feel as if nothing could compare to that one.
It's almost unbearable because not only is there a hard rattle right at the bottom, but the high G's cause your entire body to endure the full force of the vibration. I still love Tatsu a lot though :D
@@caydenwaltersmusic it's not tge bottom that gets me, it's the ascent back up from the bottom. Hated it the very first time, swore I wouldn't go on it again. Then I did when I went back, and I knew what to expect, and to brace myself, then I saw how enjoyable the first half of the loop was. It feels more intense than the helix on Goliath tbh.
That first drop on X2 is like no other. Just as you get to the bottom, you roll over on your back! And that pretzel dive loop on Tatsu feels like a ton of G's while on your back. 2 of the best coasters in the US.
When I was at Kings Dominion in August, it started raining while I was waiting in line for Twisted Timbers. I closed my eyes when I got on because I knew from experience that being hit by rain on a rollercoaster can be extremely painful. Honestly, riding Twisted Timbers with my eyes shut was one of the scariest experiences I’ve had on any roller coaster in recent memory. Even though I was familiar with the layout (this was the fifth time I rode it that day), I couldn’t prepare myself for any of the airtime moments. Each time we got to one it felt like I was being dragged down further and further into the pits of hell. Kinda tempted to try it again on another ride
That pretzel loop on tatsu is insane. I took my cousin from Australia on this ride and his reaction to it was hilarious. "what the hell just happened?"
OKonMotorsports I’m not too skinny but I do have skinny legs which plays a huge factor in how much airtime you get. The only thing that stops me from flying out is when my legs hit the lap bar. Surprisingly, I’ve seen kids who were like 4ft tall ride it and they manage to still stay in the train.
Alex Lubbers when it opened, the first half used to be faster and the 2nd half used to be slower, now they added friction to the wheels and disabled the trim brakes. So now the first half is slower and the 2nd half is a bit faster
fuck that ride tho it tried to kill me. i used to laugh at people who would tell me the restraints opened on them. cus like how unrealistic is that right? and then it fucking happened to me....

I’ve ridden X, before it was redone and that ride was revolutionary for sure. The first time you hit that drop is pretty insane. Tatsu almost stops your heart on the pretzel look. It’s pretty crushing and I’ve only ridden it once.
100% agree with you on #1. X2 is on a whole different level and pretty much the definition of insane. It’s terrifying but so, so good at the same time.
Tatsu is a top favorite ride, and the pretzel loop is an absolutely amazing element. It really feels like you're diving headfirst to the ground before flying up and away. I love flying coasters.
Tatsu's pretzel loop is well deserved on this list. I had never never of tatsu when i first rode it but that pretzel loop was one of the most memorable things from my trip to magic mountain

Not only is it super rare, but arguably the scariest part. They purposefully have the elevator lean back and forth, so you think something is wrong the first time you ride it.

Rode Volcano when I was in advance training for the army, I do not regret it at all. Very upset that they removed it but so glad I was able to ride it once in my lifetime
Number 11 on this list really reminds me of what it was like to ride the "Great American Dream" at Six Flags Over Georgia. There was lots of small airtime hills that really roughed you up.
UK-based riders will likely be familiar with the insanity of Nemesis at Alton Towers, but the Zero-G roll straight out of the helix is absolutely a demonic element, brought to us by the madlad that is John Wardley. The dramatic shift in positive to negative Gs is just... bonkers.
Awesome to see my boi Cannibal getting 2 spots on this list! It's one of the most wild coasters I've been on. Yes, Shellraiser is steeper, but Cannibal is still the tallest roller coaster in the world with a beyond vertical drop.
I've been on the woody at Playland. The entire ride is crazy rough in that classic wooden roller coaster way. You really feel like you're barely staying on the track, and I distinctly remember gripping that lap bar for dear life.
X2 for sure is #1, For anyone that hasn't been on it, prepare yourself, as soon as you hit the first drop you lose your sense of direction. Crazy scary but fun at the same time. This is not a coaster for everyone. This is the only ride I get butterflies just before I ride it even though I've lost count of how many times I've been on it :) I still think everyone should experience this ride once. I don't know how long my home park will continue to maintain this ride as parts are hard to find now.
I’ve been on X2 probably close to 30 times and I still get that classic sweaty hand , butterfly feeling every time it pulls out of the station and “it had to be you” starts playing. The drop and first raven turn are nuts
I can vouch for the fact that Intimidator 305 can still make you blackout if you're not ready for it. I usually ride in the front few seats, but over the summer I scored a walk-on near the back. I remember the drop, and then I woke up thinking "why am I dreaming about being on a rollercoaster?" It was legitimately terrifying as I've never lost consciousness like that before. I guess I must not have had enough to eat or drink that afternoon and my blood pressure was lower than normal. I'll still ride it again next time I go!
I rode I305 this summer as well, not knowing a whole lot about it. Got the back row on my first ride and grayed out pretty well. I rode it one more time in the front and I was more prepared for the intensity. Its not something I could do over and over again, but I'll be back to ride again sooner or later. I'm really bummed I missed the Volcano launch though.
I went on Intimidator 305 when it first opened, before the revisions. My friend and I waited for the front, and we both blacked out for pretty much the rest of the ride after the turn. I’m honestly glad they fixed it.
Somehow, you can put like -3 to 7.5 vertical g’s in planet coaster and guest will still ride it, when in reality those forces would cause blackout, back damage, and could kill riders if the force was sustained for long enough.
@@charliegriswold1445 Yeah, but you gotta remember who's playing the game the most. Most people who play it would find it REALLY hard to stay within realistic limits, so the game is pretty forgiving with the force limits.
Love this video. Gave me coasters to put on my list and got me pumped for when Six Flags Magic Mountain opens back up. I call those demonic moments my "oh shit!" Moments. 🤣🤣🤣
X2 is the only ride of these I went on I would also add the vertical drop in pitch black darkness of "Fluch von Novgorod" and the seesaw tilt element on "Winjas" spinning coaster
I’m so proud of magic mountain i go there about twice a year cuz I live 3 hours from there and I’m just happy that’s it’s one of the best theme parks in the U.S
All of el Torro’s airtime is demonic. I was practically standing when I rode it and that was my first ejector experience. I also totally agree with you about I305’s first turn. Rhough I’d add the 3 super whippy banked turns to my list. I haven’t ridden most of the other coasters on your list but they’re all on my bucketlist. I’d also add Kah’s launch and Twisted Timbers’ airtime in the back row at night in the rain.
Dude great choices and great music. I really need to get to Magic Mountain and Cedar Point after this pandemic BS. Never been to either. Tatsu looks nuts!
Thanks for the love for the PNE/Playland's coaster. It's what would be considered my home park and I remember riding that thing with my dad when I was young. I made the mistake, once, of sitting on the outside of my dad. He was 200lbs or so, I was maybe 50lbs. Ouch! Gotta love the '80s! To this day I still feel like i'm going to fall out of the train and the lap bar is at least 6" from my legs! The lift hill might be even more demonic after it has aged, you don't roll up it, you float.
I try so HARD to keep my hands up on X2 , but halfway down that drop, I holding on for dear life !! And the pretzel loop on Tatsu, is super awesome too
I have to go with the smiler's first heartline roll, in the station there's just this void that the trains go into when they dispatch and inside of it is just a steep banked turn into a heartline roll in the dark with a few strobe lights, really good part of the ride
100% agree on Time Traveler. That sideways airtime is insane. If you get the spin right on of the twists later in the ride where it goes from bankers left to right, you get whipped out of your seat again since you’re sideways. Also crazy.
I've been on 3 of the ones listed. Tatsu, X2, and Xcellerator are all on my favorites list. I regret not riding Cannibal at Lagoon while I was there. I was feeling sick at the end of the day and didn't get to it.
Only if X2 still had the ride audio working... I was there on a Sunday, the day after the park was closed because of the fire, and the fire affect was off. The park was SO EMPTY
The POVs of The Beast never do that helix justice. It earned the name "the most terrifying finale to any roller coaster" and I agree. It's LOUD, it's VIOLENT, and unless you've experienced it yourself, you have no idea. The hill leading into it slowly tilts sideways as you go down, which is also a very unique element and it builds a sickening anticipation for what's about to hit you.
The noise is never emphasized enough. It's such a sudden cacophony of screeching metal and screeching people. Combined with the sudden darkness, and it certainly is memorable.
Should have included the cobra roll/pretzel loop (not sure what to call it cause it kinda looks like both) on Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The most evil thing ever.
If restraints could be counted as an element, I would put those hard-ass restraints on Discovery Kingdom's Kong on here. I don't know if they've changed them since I've been there, but the ones that I experienced must have been designed by Satan himself.
Would love to see a revised version of this list after you’ve been through Northern Europe. This was arguably the video that got me into coasters, I used this as a checklist of sorts.
Rolling Thunder was my favorite wooden coaster back in the day!! Still need to get to the parks now that there are so many new coasters...my best credit is The Big Bad Wolf, which is my favorite inverted hanging coaster. It was so tight through the Bavarian Village feeling like you were going to hit the buildings. The final drop was amazing and is everything people claimed it to be...
Without thinking about a specific order: The Headchopper Airtime Moment near the end of Untamed: The ride dives into the Support Structure with Headchoppers that look really uncomfortably close and for whatever, insane reason they have a really strong ejector moment in that mess. Taron's Airtime-Transition out of a Tunnel: Following the first turn Taron dives into a Left Turn-Tunnel and then goes uphill in the same Turn, the moment you exit the tunnel the track features a whippy transition into a right-turn while leveling out at the same time. This results in a Ejector Moment while changing direction at full speed. Because it is at the end of a dark Tunnel you really don't see this coming. The Launch on Novgorod: Like all Gertlauer Launch Coasters Novgorod has a small drop before the Launchtrack. In Novgorods case this happens in pitch black darkness after a Dark Ride section. The little drop happens out of nowhere, you are then launched forwards with unrivaled intensity when it comes to LSM launches. The entire Launch Track is in complete Darkness and at the end of the launch is a uphill right turn that finally shoots you out of the building and into an airtime hill. that you still can't see because at the time the airtime kicks in your eyes are still trying to adjust to the daylight again. The entire 2nd half of Monster at Walygator: This B&M Invert is a clone of Raptor at Cedar Point. Walygator bought this coaster used from Japans Expoland. In France someone, for whatever reason (Probably to save on cost of actually being able to use it) decided that they wouldn't install the Block Brakes. They assembled the Evacuation / Service Platform complete with the ladder, but no brakes where ever installed. While it means that they wouldn't be able to run the coaster with 3 Trains (which to be fair wouldn't have happened anyway as attendance there is usually too low to justify even running 2 Trains) it would also mean that there is no way to use the Block Brake as a means of Trimming the Speed down. The result is a very Intense 2nd half, the final Helix even has the potential to grey some people out.
I’m pretty new to the big thrills, but I would say that the element that is most crazy is the hanging drop on the Griffin at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It’s especially insane in the front row because you stay there for five whole seconds facing the ground.
Honestly I believe the reason why that first drop on time traveler catches so many people off guard is because people aren’t used to just starting off a coaster plummeting down from the start. It’s a very opposite experience from what people are used to with a roller coaster starting out going up instead of down first
I'm glad you gave some respect to the woodies, especially in the lower half of the list. I was really hoping to see the four back-to-back airtime hills on the Phoenix at Knoebels, though.
I love the Staffordshire Knot on The Smiler at Alton Towers. It is exclusive to The Smiler and although you go through each section fairly far apart it can create, what is in my opinion, one of the best fuels on a coaster that I have ever experienced!

@@twistedgwazi5727 Even realistic coaster models fail to fit within the G-for e standards of planet coaster lol
Love this video. Gave me coasters to put on my list and got me pumped for when Six Flags Magic Mountain opens back up. I call those demonic moments my "oh shit!" Moments. 🤣🤣🤣
X2 is the only ride of these I went on
I would also add the vertical drop in pitch black darkness of "Fluch von Novgorod"
and the seesaw tilt element on "Winjas" spinning coaster
I’m so proud of magic mountain i go there about twice a year cuz I live 3 hours from there and I’m just happy that’s it’s one of the best theme parks in the U.S
Surprised that the Quad Down element on Lightning Rod wasnt on this list.
The barrel roll on Hydra as you come out of the station is one of my favorite elements of all time
What about those 5.5G loops on Mindbender( The Canadian one)
So demonic that they killed 3 people
@@cancercentral9997 the 3 deaths came from a derailment not the loop itself
@@stfjinkiojd I know
The demonic knot on Flug der Dämonen!!
I love pretzel loops so much
This list should also include any and all truck track elements on RMCs. Those are no joke.
Interesting list idea, I'm betting the near misses on dueling dragons were pretty demonic
I’ve been on X2 over 15 times and it still terrifies me
I wished you had 💯 million subscribers like PewDiePie or T-series, or even more, 200 million subscribers. You are the best RUclipsr ever.
aka: top 10 most intense elements 2.0
Theres some overlap but not much. Just 3 of the 13
Airtime Thrills what’s Sophie’s Halloween costume?
Dosware Pictures oh yea that would be insane. Post it on your story
CoasterFan15 what?
@@DoswarePictures shes an angel this year
The turn on intimidator 305 after the drop I’m assuming is there because it resembles a nascar turn
watching the rolling thunder hill on El Toro off-ride makes it literally look like an animation
I try so HARD to keep my hands up on X2 , but halfway down that drop, I holding on for dear life !!
And the pretzel loop on Tatsu, is super awesome too
I’m confident I created a lagoon roll on half of my roller coaster tycoon rides without knowing it
Another demonic element Arrow came up with was the 150ft. tall quasi-corkscrew element on Drachen Fire. That was an intense ride !!
I love how your videos always pop up from 2 years or one year ago that I’ve never seen .
Iron Gwazi’s zero g roll will probably fall under this category
The POVs of The Beast never do that helix justice. It earned the name "the most terrifying finale to any roller coaster" and I agree.
It's LOUD, it's VIOLENT, and unless you've experienced it yourself, you have no idea.
The hill leading into it slowly tilts sideways as you go down, which is also a very unique element and it builds a sickening anticipation for what's about to hit you.
The noise is never emphasized enough. It's such a sudden cacophony of screeching metal and screeching people. Combined with the sudden darkness, and it certainly is memorable.
Kärnan surprise is probably worthy of a spot, it’s so strange being Stucked on a 90 degree lift , it’s purely diabolical.
Should have included the cobra roll/pretzel loop (not sure what to call it cause it kinda looks like both) on Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The most evil thing ever.
The airtime on the coaster at PNE is absolutely nuts, should definitely be a bucket list coaster for everyone
Aaron P it’s my home park and I’ve ridden it over 800 times! The airtime is incredible
The pretzel loop on Tatsu was a big "oh shit" moment for me! You come around the turn and it comes virtually out of nowhere.
I remember thinking the last row was, well the last row on X2. Man was I wrong
X2's drop is actually offically named the Skydive drop by S&S
Rolling Thunder was my favorite wooden coaster back in the day!! Still need to get to the parks now that there are so many new coasters...my best credit is The Big Bad Wolf, which is my favorite inverted hanging coaster. It was so tight through the Bavarian Village feeling like you were going to hit the buildings. The final drop was amazing and is everything people claimed it to be...
Another reason why I love the 270 degree twist on dragster and kinda ka is because of the cool head chopper with the support structure.
Nothing like watching airtime thrills on Halloween
3:30 You only realize how FRIKIN BIG El Toro is when it’s next to Rolling Thunder
RyanPlays 70 you realize how FRICKIN TINY El Toro is when it’s next to Kingda Ka.
Dosware Pictures True
RyanPlays 70 Love the profile pic. Should’ve gotten Wave Race.
Without thinking about a specific order:
The Headchopper Airtime Moment near the end of Untamed: The ride dives into the Support Structure with Headchoppers that look really uncomfortably close and for whatever, insane reason they have a really strong ejector moment in that mess.
Rip Volcano May it’s replacement be worth it
I’m pretty new to the big thrills, but I would say that the element that is most crazy is the hanging drop on the Griffin at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It’s especially insane in the front row because you stay there for five whole seconds facing the ground.
Honestly I believe the reason why that first drop on time traveler catches so many people off guard is because people aren’t used to just starting off a coaster plummeting down from the start. It’s a very opposite experience from what people are used to with a roller coaster starting out going up instead of down first
God, I have to be real, that intamin is my favourite of all time.
The shvvvvrrrrr of the ride sounds.
God so good.
