I am trying to get my new Pi5 (8gb) to boot into Kali linux. I have used both the pi imager, selecting the pi5 and Kali OS in the imager as well as trying to download the image directly from the kali linux website and installing it via the imager to my sd card.
However, when I plug the PI power in, the light comes on, stays green but I have no picture at all. If I take the card out, boot up the pi, it does show the error on the screen that an SD card is not inserted. I have also gotten PI OS on another SD card and it boots just fine. It only seems to be Kali Linux. As soon as I plug it in, its just a black screen.
I have seen numerous videos on youtube showing the similar process with no issues. This is also the 2nd PI 5 I have attempted this on, with the same issues.
Any thoughts? I have tried multiple different monitors, cables, SD cards, etc. It simply just wont boot with Kali on the SD card.
Sehr gut
Hey Ksk love your videos, super helpful. I was wondering how I could use this setup on my ipad? what other setup is needed?
Use VNC Server on Raspberry Pi 5 and access the GUI on iPad using VNC Viewer.
Can you show how to install it on a hardisk connected to the pimoroni nvme?
I have the Geekware X1002 board. I have Kali on the SD card but i'd like to boot from the NVMe
@@jameswhite1450 on the terminal, run: raspi-config
and there in system options in the boot section you can adjust that. But then you won't be able to boot from the Sd. Better just remove the Sd when you want to boot from the nvme. Still give raspi-config a try regardless
Bro do you have any pre-riced Linux iso?? Or can you make one because it is very hard to install ric scripts and all bro please upload it
I cannot make ISO bro. It's better to download and install it from trusted sources.
Love the mention that to run Kali on a Pi 5 you need a minimum of 4gb RAM... Good thing that's the minimum they're available with, eh! 🤘🏻😂
4GB ram for smooth experience.
Please did not get that: you say connect the sd card to the computer and then …. external ssd also ?
You can use SD Card or external SSD to flash kali linux.
@@kskroyaltech thanks buddy
