It was a sad day when presonus changed the width of the (big vertical) level meter and I had to abandon tip #4 as it now took up too much room. WHY??????
Unfortunately there are a lot of dumb UI changes in studio one 5 (and 6) that take up way too much space. Screen real estate is important and much can be improved in S1 to get back crucial screen space.
Really wish S1 would incorporate the large level meter in the right hand side browser bar (just have an option to where we can bring it up and show it quickly or hide it)
The DC offset only matters when the wave polarity asymmetry is so great that it affects the gain structure. If the wave is too high or too low it may peak sooner than a symmetrical wave would do. RX 7 and 8 Izotope plugin fix it just a mouse click.
Why do you have to reactivate the input control for every new project? Is there no way to click on it once in the settings so that it is always active?
Aye Joe can you tell your people over at Presonus that the "Input Controls" knob should simply be there by default... All the time. It makes not much sense to have to go and toggle that on with every project/track. At least give us a feature settings to have show up all the time.
In fact, a lot of what's under the project WRENCH should be program level defaults. I understand one can create a template however, one should not have to create a template for this.
Hi I just saw your question.. that's in universal control, use the drop-down menu to find the soundcard if your on PC, I'm not sure on Mac. It depends on your interface. Do a RUclips search on setting up studio 1 for PC (or Mac if that's what you've got). There's heaps of videos on it.. it's a bit of a hard one to start but once you've got it your good to go.. good luck!!! 🙏🕊️
Is it possible to capture a video stream (webcam etc) while tracking? It would be useful for including visual cues when recording many parts on my own without having to sync audio and video separately.
@@c.l.4895 I rum a program called Debut capture while using S1 and the Audio ports into the software automatically, not even sure how or why, but it just worked first time i ran it. the programm takes the audio coming out of S1 internally from the computers audio buss. its pristine and i dont even know how its doing it but never look a gift horse in the mouth.
You guys have made a big mistake making the studio one available on subscription plan model. No user will like the software to pay for their creativity.. rather focusing on the goals and learning the daw. The best is the upgrade model.. if you have a major realease of the daw.. u just have to pay for the next version or the major release. Subscription model sucks . In india no one would really like to use such daws with such buying plans.. so please make it availabe for onetime pay licence.... Best are the cubase pro guys and Ableton with such easy models
You can buy DAW without plan with licence but it will cost you. I personally hate subscriptions so i bought it it is not cheap but i have it to the rest of my poor life. And still i got updating all the time so no idea for how long but i am getting. And if i don't get updating i really do not need because i have got already so much stuff it is not even funny so get your Studio one no one stopping you so do not complain.
A good and convenient program. But the most disgusting interface is just terribly disgusting and because of this there is no desire to enter it. I regret that I bought it.
@@bigheartsmolpen Honestly, back in S1 version 4, UI design alone was a big part of the reason to go for it. Sometimes i need to work in other daw/s and when i go back to S1 i am like "omg so clean and well designed"😅

If I use the Input Control to gain stage my track and then export the track will the gain get printed to my track
Presonus please make the steps in the pattern mode 8 bars long(128 steps). It's needed for arrangement

Isn't that in the "show" part of studio one? not sure if you need the plus version or something for it though.

Funny. Sexiest & cleanest UI i've ever seen in a DAW. Super neat design!
