Things are looking up. Our lockdown is easing in the UK, while over the pond in the USA, Jaw Tooth is filming trains in warm sunshine. Too good to be true!
Just east of Aurora near Route 59 Metra depot is a business like that where BNSF drops/shoves boxcars inside through a huge electrically opened door inside the manufacturer's building
Seeing you mentioned rolls of paper shipped to Huhtamaki I was curious what they did with them. I worked 15 years in a paper mill here in Maine. They make paper cups there. They work 12 hour shifts like I did in high heat. I found a page online reviewing working there. Many unhappy workers. Here's the best comment I found. 😁 "HR manager is fat and lazy and plays with miniature john Deere tractors on the floor in office"
Hi Mr. Toot! Love those 'long' shots...your camera does a nice job of catching all the detail. So...they say you can't 'train' a deer...here's proof that you can...if you 'track' them right. Sorta 'ties' things together without going 'loco'. 😉😂
In the day, the pevine was a spotters Paradise. Norfolk and Western ran some stretches near 60 MPH. The plant was once a Ford facility that made transmissions. A good customer.
No doubt and what was really cool was how the trucker kept his truck back so that I could film the train. I really did appreciate that. Sometimes people do that so I have a couple good reasons to thank the trucker.
I love watching your videos Jaw Tooth. They are more informative about what railroaders do . a lot better to watch and learn than just watching Trains racing by, not knowing anything about what's actually going on. I appreciate you videos. Great work.
A crew of 2. In my day, engineer, 2 brakies, and a real conductor on the caboose. No radios for the brakies. How times have changed. As for the defacement of railroad rolling stock, not in my day.
Well it looks like you are really right for once. We will sunny weather with the nice temp of 107 degrees. That's in Marana, Arizona, WOW. If I ever figure out how to get on face book, I might get to enjoy this a little bit more. Great videos, keep em coming.
Do we know what's in those mobile rattle can billboards?? Nice to see you out and about in the sun Jawtooth -a nice early summer special to enjoy! Spot on details as always! Regards
Track looks pretty good in this area; no cars swaying. Another good one Brian. Can you figure out where 18 thumbs down woulde come from ? If you don't like train videos don't look at them.
Sometimes non railfans stumble onto my videos and give thumbs down. I guess there are other reasons also but it doesn't really matter. Any action on a video is good because the more action a video gets the more likely it is to be recommended to other people. Actions like rating and commenting help. Thanks for watching and commenting Steve!
earlier today made a trip to the town I used to live in, wanted to get dropped off while my parents did some things around and caught some pretty good stuff, plus someone who did something illegal right in front of me, also caught a progress rail which I was very shocked since nothing that special runs through there. plus not very many has been filmed of it yet
Can u make a video and explained what happened with that engineer stealing your iPhone and stuff? Very interesting and I want to hear the whole story. Would be a very cool and interesting video. I know you do train videos but a real life video like that would be awesome.
Finally, I got to film them without it raining. I still have more video from that day to post of them going over a couple trestles. They got busy and abandoned the idea with the wye. The spring rains kept them busy fixing washouts and now they are working on getting the quarry ready. They are forgetting the wye for now
Pretty cool, Ohio Here, can you tell us about the power in these Locos? from my reading an engine can only have 70K per axle (or damage the rail), so if four axle that is 280,000 lbs, and with a grip of 30%, that is 84,000 lbs of pulling effort, and you can take that to six axle, that being 126,000, with the 30% being generous, probably near 23-28%. Your remark yesterday, on one that one engine was able to pull a long train, it was six axle. But wait there is MORE, if you add an engine you can double the pulling power and then you move up to 3 or 4 cars and you have to worry about the pin on the first car...Like to know more about the specs of the engines.
Awesome video jaw tooth I hope you get to come to Newark Ohio some time there was an Indiana and Ohio Railroad train that runs by my house carrying trash cars to Zanesville Ohio it's number is Indiana and Ohio Railroad #2165
Back East, those BSFN (ol' Stobie Jim Kenobie, bless him for that RR moniker & much more !! 😎) & old ATSF plug door boxcars are used by Napa Valley & Gallo Wineries in particular. I've seen those cars in distibutors' sidings, mainly in South Jersey where I used to live. (The sidings always feature chain link fence, mega locks, razor wire & video surveillance systems-anymore, that is, says my self admitted "semi-scummy" brother in law !! Before the video rigs ? He STILL refers to that era as, "the good old days", lol) 🙄 I'd give the name & town of said operation, but given the product ? I'll do them a favor by not saying where, because those cars have a habit of getting broken into....according to my brother-in-law; the self admitted scumbag of yesteryear's dalliances. I've seen a mere portion of that train being pulled up in Jim Thorpe, PA by local RR Reading & Northern, after departing Oak Island Yard. A portion of that original train may be 60+ cars in itself !! 1/100th of one car would make for one hell of a long weekend party, for a whole city block...yikes !! That's a lot of grape, buddy !!
Marty Jeruzal I think you meant Brakeman, but railroads don't have those anymore. Once they went to two man crews there are only engineers and conductors.
It generally has to do with seniority and not position. At least that’s how CSX and Norfolk Southern does it. Probably the same way most other railroads.
Jaw Tooth, do you add the video link overlays at the end of the video yourself, or is this something RUclips started doing automatically for you? I would just like to point out that sometimes they're overlaid on your photos which obscures the part they're overlaid on. Would like it if you could fix it so that it doesn't overlay anything with railroads in it, at the very least.
Thats a cool Dash 7 unit, and the deer was smart to get outta there!
My favorite thing to do is watch a train switch an industry. Thank you jawtooth. God bless
Mine too.

Good weather for trains and wildlife. Good video
a awesome video on a gorgeous day!!! Priceless!!! Alot of people depend on those short line rail roads.
The gates took long enough time to go up.
There is always one bonehead to thumbs down.. Thumbs UP from me!
Jason that short line should teach the one by you a little about track maintaince

Something cool about seeing trains go inside buildings... we have Huhtamaki in Maine too.
Hi Mr. Toot!

This makes me look forward to next year when I finally can visit the US. The nature is so beautiful! Thank you for this, it made my morning
Awesome switching footage, big thumbs up 👍👍
Red flag at the back..... 👏🤣
Cheap...... (day-light hours use only)
Good shot son !
👍👍👍👍Huhtamaki...packaging for consumer goods and food service industry....hope you thank that trucker....👍😄🍊🌴
No doubt and what was really cool was how the trucker kept his truck back so that I could film the train. I really did appreciate that. Sometimes people do that so I have a couple good reasons to thank the trucker.
Lovely to see those old U Boats again! It’s even better how CCET has a pair of em!
- JP
Imagine how much money the railroads pay to have those boxcars decorated. But it good to make America beautiful.
I love watching your videos Jaw Tooth. They are more informative about what railroaders do .
a lot better to watch and learn than just watching Trains racing by, not knowing anything about what's actually going on. I appreciate you videos. Great work.
Wow, weather looks so hot there already, almost like summer. A nice train watching video, as always. :)
That engine may be old, but it sure is a workhorse~!
Very nice Brain but theres no scanner action today sad.but you got a part of switching operation.👊🤔😉🤙
Hi Mr.Jawtooth, Yeah it's always nice to see some wild life animals, no care in the world. That horn is great. Excellent video. Take Care.
Not sure if it's some kinda Local secret or something,..but the spots that you find to film the CCET are absolutely awesome. Great video!! 100%
Good stuff...love seeing short line RR’s...especially the switching
With all the nonsense going on today it's nice to sit back, relax and watch a Jawtooth video. I just with 5857 would get a paint job! :-)

Awesome as usual Jaw. I really enjoyed it.
Excellent video Jaw!!. Good maneuvers...and beautiful fawn!!. Thanks for upload it!. Greetings.
Excellent video Son!
I guess that crossing gate at the end want some more action.
Good god have mercy that sound like a dash 8 fright train that more than a CSX.
A crew of 2. In my day, engineer, 2 brakies, and a real conductor on the caboose. No radios for the brakies. How times have changed. As for the defacement of railroad rolling stock, not in my day.
I remember those days. I lived by the railroad in several areas and I could watch the trains go by my houses with cabooses on them. The good days
Darned right.
Great video enjoy watching them
I attracted also to the sceneries, I would sit there on the grasses for the refreshing air and views :-)
Huhtamaki sounds like company out of Finland
Great job capturing the Deer!

Huhtamaki.....if that's not a good Finlander name, I dont know what is. Minty vid as-usual. Thumb up #664
This is an excellent switching video! It's a pity they're so short, I want more Jaw Tooth time! :D
Love your videos 🎬👍🏽📹
Thanks so much!
Looking at some of those cars I wonder if taggers are carrying ladders these days. Didn't think any were that ambitious.
Love that live Ohio action son.
AWESOME NICE THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO AND YOUR TIME HAVE A GREAT DAY JIM KAMMERER OF PHILADELPHIA PA. :)
Do we know what's in those mobile rattle can billboards?? Nice to see you out and about in the sun Jawtooth -a nice early summer special to enjoy! Spot on details as always!

Huhtamaki make food service take out containers, those foam containers and cups the box cars are likely empties there to be loaded.
can't wait till the quarry starts shiping by rail
Great video!!!
Howdy ,and good day to you sir

Great video 👍😁 from UK
Man, that's a lot of cars that have been "urbanized" by defacers with spray cans. Oh well...!
Yes, one good thing is that it slows the rust down. lol
nice video
Fantastic vídeo my friend !!! Like 😉👍

Great video Jaw Tooth. Can you do the Peavine Line tour please. I have a few Ideas if you were wondering. Thank you

Very good video dear Jaw. Super.
Yep, the permanent cloud cover over the peavine left for one day, lol. Is CCET still working on that wye, so they can turn their engines around JT??
Finally, I got to film them without it raining. I still have more video from that day to post of them going over a couple trestles. They got busy and abandoned the idea with the wye. So cool I made a train vid yesterday
Where was the crossing with the deer? I’m surprised the train blew through the crossing without stopping.
I have no idea why that Clinton Terminal boxcar is so interesting to me
Long Nose Forward. Watch Out Dad, She’s Backing Up. Beep, Beep, Beep. 🙄 😬 👍
Very nice video! Greetings 🚂👍👋

Where did you see the Alaska locomotive? Have you ever seen any dead deer on the tracks?
That was a shot I did a few years ago when the railroad first started and they got that loco from Alaska. I haven't seen any dead deer on the tracks

wow awesome videos on your channel ! Im small time compared to you !
Who else would video a railfanning deer? 👍👍
How did you know it was a conductor trainee?
nice switching action, did u know CCET is getting another locomotive?
Yes, I put a picture of it on my facebook site Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Fans
I wish they would spend the money to give 5857 a new paint job.

I love the Alaska locomotive. Where was that taken ?
The color scheme is really nice
I love seeing them
Is Huhtamake the home of the hootenanny?
utility locomotives working in different areas of the country
Why do so many step on the switch handle to put it in the keeper? Isn't that frowned on by safety officials?
How long dose a train have to be before it needs a FRED?
It has to do with light. They have to use them at night or in poor light due to weather.
I have seen light engine moves with a flashing fred and the headlight on dim thought it was funny they had both.
I know some monitor break pressure, so I thought there might be a length where they had to run them.
think cool
I wonder if there are train deer accidents very often.
Yes there is actually.
They call the new guys breakmen or switchmen
Marty Jeruzal
I think you meant Brakeman, but railroads don't have those anymore. Once they went to two man crews there are only engineers and conductors.
whats the story on the Alaska locomotive?
Who gets paid more: engineer or conductor? How much more?
It generally has to do with seniority and not position. At least that’s how CSX and Norfolk Southern does it. Probably the same way most other railroads.
L n old locomotive?
