Harmonica in its own juices........I mean, harmonica in its natural environment! Haha! Thanks! Those Chrissie grain hoppers on the lead end. What branch or short-line is that? Looked like a IMRL type lead unit. Does that go to Portsmouth?
This line is the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. 4 year old short line that leases 69 route miles of track from Norfolk Southern. That SD45 is ex Montana Rail Link. CCET has another one in storage on the line but they don't own them. They lease them. This line does go to Portsmouth , Ohio but the connection just west of Portsmouth was cut when they removed the switch earlier in the year. Right now they only use about 53 miles of the 69 miles that they are leasing.
@@JawTooth That'd be great to have a bunch of short line maps. I'd won a HUGE box of rail maps at auction years ago. Those were awesome! I guess at Portsmouth CSX takes freight to Columbus north and Ashland east. Trains used to come in from the west then swap the front end of the train with the rear end then chug north to Buckeye yard from Portsmouth. Not sure if they still do that because that was mid-1990s when I rode through Portsmouth.
I believe that the proper terminology would be , " basted in his own , HOBO SHOESTRING , natural juices " ! ROCK ON SHOESTRING ! Recommended viewing, " Emporer of the North " a celebration of a lifestyle brought on by " THE GREAT DEPRESSION " and all but forgotten !
Good old hobo shoestring! He was definitely an interesting person. Train videos, I am old enough to remember watching the steam trains at the end of the property where I lived when I was a kid. Always stopped what I was doing to watch, and even today do the same thing at 76 years old.
That's a very nice gift and gesture. He couldn't have given it to a more deserving person.Nice! I like that former MRL locomotive. Thanks for the video and as always.....Thumbs Up!!!!!
Hi from the UK. As someone who is just thinking about building a US railroad layout, this was absolutely fascinateing. We have nothing like your short-lines here in the UK. Thanks for sharing.
That's Awesome that you got HOBO SHOESTRING'S harmonica Jaw Tooth! Now you can play BLACK SABBATH'S song THE WIZZARD for me! Very Nice EMDs pulling a cool mixed freight. I also liked the little red caboose as well Jaw Tooth. I love them old weathered grain cars, they look really good with them old EMD units. Them old EMDs sound so tough Jaw Tooth! Keep up the great work and hope you learn to play that harmonica real soon. HOBO SHOESTRING SURE IS A VERY GENEROUS MAN, you were totally BLESSED JAW TOOTH!
The harmonica from Shoe String was a touching gift. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the followup vid of you on guitar, and harmonica accompaniment. Railroading becomes problematic sometimes, when crews attempt to work fast. That crews shouldn't have split those cuts in different trains and shoved them off. They may end up cutting their own necks, and a job might be eliminated; or, depending on what other short cuts they took in addition, they may be operating unsafely.
That's awesome!! I love Hobo Shoestring!!! Hes a very cool man!! You and Shoestring are my top 2 Favorites on YT. I love watching me some rare footage son!! Live action lets goooo
Glad to see you got a gift from shoestring hobo. I have been binge watching his channel recently. He has SO MUCH experience! He can sure do some good train hopping & go on some beautiful rides! I saw one of his videos were he rode through Wyoming, Utah, Parts of Canada. The mountains are so beautiful there! I just hope he is very careful & I hope he don't get busted by the bulls lol! I couldn't never develop good enough nerves to train hop because I wouldn't have the slightest idea what I'm doing haha! Knowing my luck, I would always be getting into trouble & getting lost all the time!
It's been years and years since I train hopped. I only did it a handful of times but I always day dream about doing it again. Probably never will again. I might look up some of my old pics and put some in a video. I got a really cool picture that my friend took of me standing in an open boxcar going over the trestle at High Bridge, Ky. Good times
The other day I was watching a program about trains that comes on the RFD Channel at 5 PM on Monday afternoons that had an old clip of the N&W 611 on the Peavine back in the 1990's .
I would like to find someone who knows how to play it . I play guitar and we could play a Black Sabbath song called Wizard. Check that song out. Ozzy plays harmonica in that song
@@JawTooth funny you say that song. I grew up listening to black sabbath and that was one of my dads fav song. I think with your talent you could come up with a perfect rail riding song. Get some tar with the harm. It will come to ya
J a w tooth keep up the good work with the videos I really enjoy them the Black Sabbath song you were talking about in the one video you've done recently is called the wizard you say you play guitar I play a little bass and a little harmonica keep up the good work I really enjoy the videos peace out

8:40 imagine that semi truck driver was late and that happened! 😆 it reminds me of that family guy episode when Brian was delivering pizza then a band came and blocked him. When the band was over, it came back! 😆😆😆😆
Imaginez que je vous regarde depuis l'ALSACE "Guebwiller", et j'apprécie agréablement tout ce que vous faites, Chaleureuse et sincère salutation Wilfried
Enjoyed this video. You always make them interesting and informative. I am curious as to how those locomotives ran around the grain cars. There must be a pass track or sidings around where the tankers are stored.(the kitty's pal)
That truck driver who pulled up at the crossing at 6:45 and was still waiting there at 15:00 was no doubt thinking "Well, that's about typical of my luck."
Harmonica in its own juices........I mean, harmonica in its natural environment! Haha!
Thanks!

Hi JT what a lovely gesture from Hobo shoestring, hope it gives you the enjoyment it gave Hobo over the years. ❤😊

I like that former MRL locomotive. Thanks for the video and as always.....Thumbs Up!!!!!
Glad I went back and picked up this one from the past. Great live action and plenty of it. Plus a little musical interlude. Salute to Hobo Shoestring.
JT captures some serious railroading in this episode. A lot of action, old cars and engines working the line thru southwestern Ohio.
Thanks for watching!
You and Shoestring need to do some collaboration stuff for sure JT that would be so epic!!
Good idea!
Jaw Tooth Yes sir!
I like these heavy curves and how easy the trains go around them with so many heavy.cars hooked on.
Just came upon this older video. I LOVE The Wizard... it's one of my favorite songs!
Thats an awesome gift he gave you Jaw. Very awesome live action too.
We are going to make a video together
@@JawTooth Good deal man

Gotta love seeing that old U-boat still out there chugging away!
It's actually a B36-7, one generation later than a U-boat.
A 20 car or so long train, the CCET continues to grow!!
