Awesome video man. Purchased my X-Five yesterday and put about 170 rounds through it at the range. Came home and watched your video now I'm tearing it apart and tweaking the trigger. Mine was not cheap I paid almost $2300.00 for it, but it was my BD and Christmas present as my BD is next week. Like you say, "buy once cry once" Thanks for the info, great work!
About 6 months ago, I was at a local shop to pick up either a ZEV 226, or the SAO 226 Legion. My wife fell in love with the 226 X-Five and recommended I get it instead. I am so glad I did. The 226 X- Five is my favorite firearm. I prefer it over my Staccato XC, and it was half the price. It was actually part of a storewide 10% off sale, so I got it for $2,000. Most accurate, easy to shoot weapon I have ever fired, except for maybe the Laugo Alien. That thing shoots nice too. Great video. I rely on you for instruction on working on my 320s. I may pick up the 226 X-Five Legion as well. looking forward to your follow up on how it shoots compared to the heavier 226 X-five.
One classy pistol. My husband and I have a nice collection of German Sig Sauer classic pistols. Unfortunately we don't have the pistol your displaying. Thank you for sharing.
I cant keep up with all the different variants of the Sig line-up. Just got a Sig P320 AXG Legion. You should do a video on that gun next. BTW I'm a big fan.
Sig Guy, is there any difference worth mentioning between an American and a German P226 X-five? Are they equally accurate? Really interesting video with lots of important advice, thank You 🙏
My P226 X5 Legion does not have a screw for pre travel adjustment. Just a threaded hole. Is it missing, or has Sig decided it’s not safe for the end user to adjust?
Glad your not afraid to show some things/g-smithin’. RUclips can say what they want but there isn’t any good reason to deny/de-monetize videos. Other than to make knowledge disappear over time.
Hey Sig Guy, Negrini has a Sig licensed lockable high end case with velvet interior with locks and leather trim for $70 off. $129 with no tax( to me in Tex) and free shipping. My P226X5 Legion hits town tomorrow and like you I hate the stock case especially after getting my P226 STAS in the fancy case.
I do like the package of features and the price seems fair vs what it would cost to have any other single action only gun upgraded to a comparable level. Thanks for the detailed review. I have a bone stock 226 SAO Legion as a duty weapon that I shoot well, but I would like to shoot some low level competition and had been considering which direction to go. The main goal would be to get rid of the slack on the trigger and maybe reduce the reset, any other improvements would just be a bonus. I would like to keep the weight similar to my 226. My budget is about $2000, any input would be appriciated. There really isn't anywhere that I know of where someone can go and get there hands on all the various options and there isn't anyone I'm aware of that has your level of experience operating all the various models.
I agree, the new Sig cases are disappointing. I bought a pro cut 226, and it came in the same case as my p322. Upsetting. My dad’s standard 226 from the 90’s had a better case to be honest. I would almost be willing to bet, if you ordered a standard x5 now, that it’d come in this box.
Thank you for this video, i would like to ask you because of my counrties regulations i have only 1 right to buy a pistol. Im struggling with 3 models 1)p226 full size legion 2) p226 x5 legion 3) p320 x5 legion . What you recommend ?
Nice gun, but honestly, at the street price of $2200.00 you can get a Staccoto P for $300 more. I have a number of Sigs and have built a few to upgrade. I like Sig, but they are expensive, and many say overpriced.
I'm glad that there is someone else out there who appreciates a good paper manual. Great, thorough video!
I have about 4000 rds through mine. It is easily my favorite handgun.
Dude you are 150% the SigGuy! I think this will be my next gun thanks to your in-depth discussion. Great job on the video.

I like the looks of the X5 Legion best but rather have a steel frame.
Too bad they don't make one with a steel frame. 😞

Great informative video. Looks like a great gun

The Negrini case that came with the other x-five was a nice touch. If you like Tanfoglio, you already know.
Great video as always SigGuy! I’m convinced, just need to find one locally. Thanks for the education.
Beautiful Gun hope its a reliable and good shooting Gun

Great review,,couldn't be any better brother
That recoil spring setup is reminiscent of the HK USP series. Might try to mock up one for the reg 226’s to see if it works…

great job on the video.. everything I wanted to know and more

17:20 Are these two sold at the same price?
Is there a left handed version of the Sig P226 or any hammer fired Sig models?
doest the other 2 steel frame x5 slide interchangeable to the AXG legion?
great tutorial, is there anyone makes IWB holster for 226 X5?

Ordered it anyways. 🤦🏻♂️

Im struggling with 3 models 1)p226 full size legion 2) p226 x5 legion 3) p320 x5 legion .
What you recommend ?
That's sick...love it.
Thanks great video, do you know if Sig P226X5 legion has the same trigger as P226 Zev.?
Love it! Does X5 Legion with slide comp shoot better than regular X5? How noticeable is it?
Is it possible to add a threaded barrel to the X5 Legion to delete the comp feature for duty use?
I’m left handed. Would never use the gas pedal. Any change you think it could be replaced with a standard 226 take down lever?
Sig guy, do you think that they will change the case down the road back to the better one?
Nice Video. I live in CA so this video hurts my feelings a little.😀
Outstanding
Is the glide rod plastic??
I would love this in Da/Sa.
So P226 SAO legion or the P226 X5 legion?? I can only afford one
Does this take rmr optics?
Great
That thing is sexy awesome review 👍🏼
I got both
Love the discussion but the video in the beginning with the moving hands for the first five minutes is hard to handle.

DING---guns in this price range should not have any MIM partgs. A $1700 Dan Wesson Specialist doesn't have MIM prts--all forged as is the slide/frame.
Ufff
Kinda winded. Long winded. Uh, boring.
