At 11:41 you were wondering what the round device was. It is a fuel heater. It uses warm engine coolant heat the fuel before it enters the filters. This keeps the fuel from gelling when running in cold weather and is a necessity running winters in Nebraska...likely not so much in Florida...
in europe just about all diesel cars heat the fuel lines to make sure the diesel is always the same temp, summer or winter, makes it easier to have the same spray pattern every time
All I’m sayin is if there was a camera behind Austin for all the work he’s been doing his channel would be bangin. He would get lots of subs and I doubt people would hate on him.
Bus Grease Monkey had a 'live broadcast' ... said he was still planning on coming your way when asked about the Bruce Wilson cabover. Hope to see some good videos from both of you !!
I may be young only 27 but I drive otr and just gotta say this befor my dad passed he passed on a legacy and I'm gonna also say this I can say without a doubt in my mind that I can say I'm the last of a dying breed I drive a 98 classic if u dont get what I'm getting at I dont use a eld u can throw that computer out the windo no pencil push desk jockey gonna tell me otherwise eather I run my truck anywhere from 2500 to 3700 miles in 5 to 6 days and stay mainly in the state of Michigan and Wisconsin Illinois and Indiana lol and I'm still home every other day in my own bed #last of the outlaws sorry Bruce had to say it
Little Engine for sure.... but back it the day they were slow and steady, but they done the job, up and over Monteagle with no jakes, didn’t know anything different, good ole days!! Truckers were family, stop and the shoulder of the road, always 2 more drivers stopped to lend a hand or just check to see if you were ok.
When you do u full service on it put straight grade oil in it those engines are not designed for multi grade oil like 15 40 the were designed for straight grade Detroit them selves say 40 weight in the winter and and 50 in the summer but that’s for up here in Canada so for you down there straight 50 weight the Detroit guys told me that when you run multi grade oils in them the seals are not designed for it and that’s why they leak all over the place
As far as the Luv gas tank is concerned there are radiator shops around the country that can seal the inner surface of the tank. I have done a few restorations where tanks are unavailable where this has worked out well. Here in Louisville the company I use is Roppels.
The data plate on the valve cover will tell you what injectors are in the engine. If you want to make a Dee-troit run, disconnect the throttle retarder piston and you will get full fuel right away(and roll some serious coal too), and set injectors to spec.
For the Chevy Luv, I remember watching an episode on PowerBlockTV, years back, and they showed a fuel tank restoration kit. There's a chemical wash on the first step then some kind of rubberized coating on the second. Can't remember the name of it now for the life of me. It's been a while. Lol
Luv fuel tank. mk 1 trooper goes close. and is on the oppoiste side so that get you exahust clearance if you want to lower it. Same as a space cab pup. On anything, if you have a charge leak it'll run hot.
To clean the gas tank on the Chevy Luv. Take it out put a bottle of CLR and a bag of marbles in it and shake the tank around. You may have to repeat it a few times. The marbles come out easy once your done. Some people use 3/8” nuts. But marbles are easier.
Great work Bruce and Austin keep the video's posted sure interested in the Air Force Cabover Restoration a true fan of your channel hope to see you drive it to West Virginia keep up the good work Mr Bubba2300
Austin must be one of your most hardworking men you have got you both get on very well together. I don’t know how to get you to make more videos but please do I love watching all of them keep it going and all the very best to you all
Awesome truck Bruce, I’ve been waiting for an update on the air force cabover. I can’t wait to see the videos of Bus Grease monkey and y’all working on this truck, also the straight pipes will make that thing sound awesome! I have a cabover myself, I would strongly suggest you wrapping a chain to some part of the back of the cab to the frame just Incase those cab lifting rams give out it the cab won’t come forward and smash itself into the ground.
I would entertain the extra plumbing & the breaker box was for the genset that was used for the trailer to upright the missiles before loading into a missile silo possibly?????
When the Bus Grease Monkey arrives to work on the truck he will be able to sort out whatever issues the Air Force truck has mechanically. He has forgotten more about Detroit Diesels than most people ever knew. His bus has a 6-71 in it, which is an inline engine. Looks like you have a 6V-92.
Another great video I hope to meet y’all soon.Do you still have the original front bumper from the Flatty ? ,?and is it in good condition because I need one
You need to gear swap it out for more speed. Bigger injectors are great but your max rpm on those are 2500. Either transmission swap with a taller final drive gear or a rear ratio swap. P.S. too much fuel will blow the head gaskets on those 6V Detroit engines
He said he changed the rears to a lower gearing to compensate for that, but who knows at this point 🤷♂️. I’m honestly not even clear on why he needs two cab overs when he barely uses one...

Austin seems like the best employee you had. Dude is always there working his ass off doing what ever you say without giving lip.
Finally, back onto the AF cabover. Been looking forward to this for awhile
I love the cover image for this video. the truck looks like it's saying "hey! a quarter!"
Bruh. This comment is gold. I went back and looked at it and had a good laugh
Bruce love the channel but please for the love of God get a stabilizer for that camera. You're killin' me Smalls!
as usual, the dog steals the show. He is adorable.
Be sure to use only straight weight oil in the Detroit - no multi-grade.
Yeah in hi temp areas straight 40
@Bruce Wilson 0:08 Looks like the
truck's saying hello. He's very good
at greeting people.
Give me this truck😄
Regarding painting the International, just clearcote it and preserve the patina.
Thats what i said also buff the fuck out of it
You need to look into putting rear wheel steering on the flatty.
Austin go ahead and start your own RUclips channel. I'm sure you would get a lot of subscribers.
It's MA'AM........
@Jim Hammill he fired iceman for getting to much attention?
@Jim Hammill he was being paid and never showed up. Seems like a logical reason to get rid of someone.
All I’m sayin is if there was a camera behind Austin for all the work he’s been doing his channel would be bangin. He would get lots of subs and I doubt people would hate on him.
@Jim Hammill lmfao and you know this how? Sounds like you're another idiot making shit up.
Austin is a good dude man very very hard worker appreciate you Austin bub.
Bus Grease Monkey had a 'live broadcast' ... said he was still planning on coming your way when asked about the Bruce Wilson cabover. Hope to see some good videos from both of you !!
Hey Bruce ONE THING at a time, the Flatty or Semi. Austin needs a raise in pay LOL 💰💰💰💰💯
Absolutely I’m only here for the cabovers not interested in any of his other projects
Fuck the flatty
And Austin does all the work he is a nice lad pay him more bruce you dick

That Detroit's missing a couple of cylinders. You should build that 855 for that truck
92 cubic inch per cylinder 552 ci silver 92
Yeah nice work nice to c amber more in focus now doing good Bruce
“Amber come here wait never mind just wanted to see you walk away again”
I must agree
Makes you sound like a Dick

Exactly i service several 4-53 Detroits and every time someone puts 15-40 in they leak when i service them i use sae 40w and they dry right up
If a Detroit isn’t leaking it doesn’t have oil.
I had an 8V Detroit and I thought about cutting a hole in the floorboard to add oil as I'm driving down the road
Straight 40 wt is what it needs. That's all we ever put in them and that was the desert where 115 isnt uncommon.
@@halfeatentacostacos222 yep you can fix the big ones but the gear train cover is gonna leak and so is the blower tube at a minimum
Scott is very knowledgeable on all things 2 stroke Detroit
Yes, you will certainly learn something from him. I do every time.
@@kman-mi7su so do I
the flash fixes everything,a master on trucks and 8:59 top model amber bundchen
2:25 i think she might need a new transmission reverse is clearly not working lol
Don't tell them they won't fix it like the first one!
As far as the Luv gas tank is concerned there are radiator shops around the country that can seal the inner surface of the tank. I have done a few restorations where tanks are unavailable where this has worked out well. Here in Louisville the company I use is Roppels.
New camera is good!!! Cant wait to see and hear the air force truck straight piped...

No joke at the beginning of the video I thought the dog was just a fat cat
Haha so did i
Camera needs to be stabilized. Hard to look at when it’s bouncing around.
The previous camera had the best stabilizer on the planet. As soon as I heard "new camera" I imagined that this would happen.
Luv fuel tank. mk 1 trooper goes close. and is on the oppoiste side so that get you exahust clearance if you want to lower it. Same as a space cab pup.
On anything, if you have a charge leak it'll run hot.
Good to see you back up & running again Bruce. Now we can catch up on watching the videos again. Hope all is well with your court situation & what not
Austin always at the shop working hours before he rolls in.
Im sure it's not for free so i dont matter.
To clean the gas tank on the Chevy Luv. Take it out put a bottle of CLR and a bag of marbles in it and shake the tank around. You may have to repeat it a few times. The marbles come out easy once your done. Some people use 3/8” nuts. But marbles are easier.
2 Stroke Detroit’s require a straight weight CF2 rated oil like Delo 100 sae 40.
Bruce excelente video
Great work Bruce and Austin keep the video's posted sure interested in the Air Force Cabover Restoration a true fan of your channel hope to see you drive it to West Virginia keep up the good work Mr Bubba2300
Looks like reverse is out on weenie dog.lol
New camera looked good on this end.
The dog is very heavy... 🤣🤣🤣
I like the new camera the audio is great and so is the video 👍👍👍👍👍👍
LOVE the new mic. Can finally hear you thru the entire video
Lawd!!! When Amber walked away and smacked that thickness I got weak lol
Most of the extra hoses and the cylinder on the right side of frame is called a Artic kit for cold weather up north
Jed is the best shop dog hands down 😂
Name it Flyboy. Glad you made it home.
New cam is great! Love the vids. Thanks for sharing.
Video Camera WORKS! Amazing footage Bruce. I love the weenie dog!
I thought I was watching austin powers again watching you pull flatty back in the shop.
Are you going to put twin straight pipes or single
I love the new camera
Definitely picks up sound better than the old one.
Austin must be one of your most hardworking men you have got you both get on very well together. I don’t know how to get you to make more videos but please do I love watching all of them keep it going and all the very best to you all
new camera is fire & the flat nasty is much cooler without speakers & wood !
yes white t- shirt next time and lots of soap and water love the check slap :)
Most radiator shops will clean and coat gas tanks. May be worth checking around and just dropping it off somewhere.
Remember the days where he hated Detroit’s and only wanted Cummins...
Must have realized they were better
What you expect from someone who paints a truck loads it with chrome then chops it up to be sent to junk yard ..
@@whathobogrohknows yeah thats why everyone uses 2 stroke diesels...
New camera is great speaker is awesome can here you very clear
Hell with the cab over whats up with the yota mota
I love Scott's channel
The extra heater hoses that you mentioned may have something to do with the heater connected to the sleeper
hi to you great video on here today stay safe by your way
Awesome video Bruce
Is the Amigo still for sale?
Killin it bud. Keep on keepin on. Yeee yeee
You are on the right track. That was all hookup for the diesel generator that was on the back. It had a radiator and all the works.
Yeah finally working back on the air force one cabover
You should put a 1” or 2” lift in the dog!!!
@PHANTOM no need to stretch the dog its barely street legal as it is. It's a stretched low rider
Hi Bruce. Camera and sound is som much better that before. Thanks for many good videos- and greetings from Denmark
Scott knows his stuff, Awesome yall are going to link up
What camera do you have now?
How is the jake brakes coming on the blue truck? Was hoping to see video!
Scott is the real deal I have been watching him for a long time and I have learned a lot from him
sweeeeeet little dog !
Hello Bruce!! From Russia !! Hello Sister Bruce!!💪😉
‘B is for Build’ would say ‘Austins did a great job’😁😁
Is that a common rail 6.7 in the flatty now
I use diesel oil in my power steering, I wonder if it has a higher boiling temp. Saves your seals also.
I've been waiting to see that truck for a long time
this truck is BAD! keep up the progress
Camera worked great apparently .good vid ....godbless

Brand new camera intro looks like it's filmed with a potato.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Whole video suck. need to go back to whatever he was recording with
I’m sure it’s a great camera, but too advanced for that dummy. Austin was way better at it.
maybe now that you have a longer frame take another cab and bolt it to the back of this one for a 2 bedroom house haa haaa
Bus Grease Monkey and his son Indiana Diesel are both are Awesome!
There’s a little round circle? What other kind of circles are there?
Will the Cummins out of the old international cab over fit in to the Air Force cab over?
Amber, hate to see you go....love to see you walk away! 😍
Hi are you going to repaint the Air Force truck and will you be putting duel exhaust stacks on it.
What's your second Chanel called please

Bruce you sweet talkin' devil you!
Love your dog lol
Just curious, this truck didn’t come from Albuquerque Kirtland AFB did it?
Great shop dog.
Would that international that has the V6 Detroitare you going to take the Detroit out and put that coming that you were going to rebuild in that truck
The new camera is a learning curve the more you experiment with it the better it will work for you.
At least the dog has some sorta sense. LoL
