I tried to make some raw rolls with seaweed, and I just couldn't bare the taste. 😭
Make sure to use toasted seaweed. Raw seaweed is not great lol. Oh, and don't forget sauces/ condiments.
Mo Ka You can’t eat raw seaweed. Some things are not meant to be eaten raw.

Thanks for making these inspiring videos. I can’t get enough of them. I moved away from the city life into the farm life where traveling to a gym isn’t an option. As a 49 year old homeschooling mom of 3 I find it really hard to make time for myself with so much work surrounding me. I have developed chronic diseases from the lack of caring for myself. Depends! It's different every time. They get high. I keep my protein the same all year, and a slowly add carbs and fat over time until I reach my goal. Ranges from (2,300 to 2,500 cal)

Thanks, Natalie, for another amazing video! I appreciate your transparency about the process and all the hard work that goes into putting these videos out there. I love the nori wraps!! I also wish I had seen this video before I made my first ever batch of seitan. I used a recipe I found just searching on the web. It had no lupine beans, and came out SO SUPER CHEWY that I am having to cut it up into small pieces to get it down. I'm thinking about chucking the whole lot and starting over with your recipe, but one of my goals in 2019 is to be more reduce/reuse/recycle, so I don't want to waste what I have. Keep up the great work you're doing!!
Yeah... I tried other seitan recipes and they come out very chewy...I DONT LIKE! I found that by adding a second component like a bean, it improves the texture and flavor.
Now, I LOVE SEITAN! is one of my favorite staples. Please try my recipe and let me know what you think. You can use any other bean ( black bean, white bean, lentils, or chickpeas).
I have liked the versions I've bought from the store, and love the macros but wanted to try to make my own with flavor I like. I'll be trying yours and will definitely let you know!! Do you ever use miso paste? I'm thinking of using that for flavor.

I've used white beans and black beans before... the flavor profile changes just bit, but it's still very good ;) you will get the same result. I can't wait for you to try it.

Wow! I wish I had seen your video before I made my next 2 batches of lupini seitan! I never thought of using my Vitamix to blend the beans. I used a food processor and the beans didn't integrate as nicely into a paste - there were bits and chunks left. Oh well, next time. Thanks for sharing!

I don’t know if you will see this or not, but have you ever used dry jerk seasoning on your tofu or popcorn? I make a simple black bean soup. It has jerk seasoning, tofu cut in cubes, and a can of black beans. Just put it into a pot and voila! Soup. No fat of any kind. You could use any kind of seasoning you like. I noticed you like adobo seasoning. Peace and love to you. You are so sweet.☮️💕
My soy curls just came in the other day, thanks for the recipe! Btw how long do the soy curls last in the fridge if I were to meal prep them on Sunday.
They don't go bad easily. They keep pretty well for 7 days...after that, they lose some of the flavors. If something doesn't smell right, DONT EAT! I usually make huge batches for George and I...I air-fry them before eating because I love the texture. If you don't have an air fryer you can just skip that step and heat them in the microwave or a pan.
Hey Nat, I love your channel and also saw you with Kim Constable the sculpted vegan. What are you thoughts on her program? I have been doing her program over a year and now I have gained over 25lbs and very discouraged. Her motto was to up your calories before hitting the last phase and then shred it all off, but the shred is not going that well and after 12weeks and hardly any changes are happening. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on her program. I love your content!
I'm sorry to hear that.
I don't know about her program as I never done it. I haven't look into it.
Contact her, maybe she can adjust your program and macros.
If you're not losing weight that means you are still eating at a surplus or maintenance.
Just know weight loss isn't linear and it takes time. You have to push through the hard times to see change.
Don't get discouraged, use the extra calories and crush your workouts! You can do it!

I'm sorry not for this one. Seitan's main ingredient is vital wheat. It would not be Seitan without vital wheat.

A: I don't track glasses, I drink a gallon of water every day... that's without including SEVIA drink and coffee lol.

A: That was my last set of 12 I did 4 sets of 12 on hammer curls.

A gallon huh , yeah definitely an athlete or plantlete. 😄 And 48 reps worth of curls , so that's why it was struggle ... was thinking it might have been the weight. 😊 Sweet.

I honestly take it more for the benefits of spirulina and chlorella, and less for detox purposes...Both Chlorella and Spirulina are amazing superfoods.

Sometimes I airfry the seitan after slicing it....I make mini chips to throw in my salad
