@@ChristinesHomeAffairs it is a good “guide”. If one is a producer, the need to realize that what sells for you may not sell for others. Case in point, your always best selling market bags. Thank you.. I'm trying to retire with a workable Hobbie.... I have been sewing since the 80's and have lots of fabric .. I am so i Intimidated by what the charge what people are looking for or can I sell it? I'm thinking at my work and my time is worth anything. Thank you again, I'm I know that there are people out there. They can't, so I would buy. But i'd never see any one around me about. My sister keeps encouraging me that I can't be done. And I think I can do it. It's mind over matter for me, thank you again.

Dale, I used to think my products weren't worth anything either, or that my time was even valuable. I had to make myself believe otherwise and I still doubt myself all the time, and have to work on it every day.
When I get customers come in that are excited by what I do, and have a big spend up, I'm always pleasently surprised. There are just as many people that will baulk at the prices, or handmade concept as there are those that will love and appreciate what you do. You can only have a go, and if it doesn't work out, at least you've had fun sewing, and will have loads of gifts to give to those that will appreciate them😊

I have since moved over to industrial machines as they're much faster. For the first couple of years, I mostly used 90/14 universal needle. Now I use that, or larger needles.😁

It's not too difficult once you get your foot in the door .
I did a video last week on free fabric with some suggestions, and have a playlist about that too 😀

I'm not sure if it's all washable Kathy, but most of it is able to be washed😁

How do you get the labels

The drawback of not charging for fabric is that one day you may have to charge for fabric, so your prices will have to increase for, essentially, the same product.

I have so much fabric stashed away, I'm unlikely to use it up in this lifetime Marianne, but if I ever did, I think I'd be ready to retire 😅

You could have given him something. That's only fair.

I did Katherine. He didn't want money for them, so I made him a linen throw in his favourite colour. He was very happy with it.
Whenever companies give me free fabric, I always give them gifts of products I've made whether it be for their worker or themselves.
None have ever wanted payment, and are happy to see that fabric isn't being thrown out.
Something I didn't mention in the video is that if I receive free fabric, I never charge that out in my finished product. I'll always pay it forward. 🙂
