Insulbright is what is used to be heat resistant in pot holders.
It's such a clever fabric!
@@sharonlalli1414 I’ve used for years, never had a problem. I also use in casserole carriers to keep things warm.
The lanyards are a great idea!
Thank you!
Old ironing board covers work well too.
I’m planning on making an oven mitt like that one for a friend moving into a new place…but I’m planning on using the back pockets of a pr of jeans as the part to put your hands in.
Many thanks for sharing with us all of you're creations 😊😊😊
Cute gifts.
Yes, yes! I’m loving making some of these, and more, with the fat quarters I’ve received in my subscription boxes! 💗
That's awesome Lynn, thank you for sharing!
I just found your channel. Love the sewing gifts.
Love these ideas! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Tip about Lavender: the scent from the flowers is quite different from the scent from the stems.
Oooh I'll have to try both out and see the difference
Excellent content. Wonderful ideas.
Glad you like them!
I love the e-reader sleeve and also the oven mitts. A couple of suggestions, a gift card for Kobo that you could slip into the sleeve would finish that one off, or how about a gift card to your dad’s favourite coffee/tea shop. I’m sure you could get one for maybe about £5.00 or less. I love a nice scone or some other small treat with a cuppa while I am reading. As far as the oven mitts go add a favourite recipe or two. Btw, I just found your channel and you have given me some ideas.
I love those extra ideas thank you!
I love these ideas! Especially the hand warmers because they can be for a man and they can be difficult to find something for. The little device holder would be good too. Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Absolutely, I struggle with the men in my family too - especially making something for them.
I am going to try the hand warmers (my hands are freezing!), the oven gloves, the apron (I think it would be perfect for the person I’m buying for this year) and the lanyards! I’m so glad I found your video!!
Thank you!! So pleased you’ve found some great ideas. I’ve just posted a video with 7 more suggestions to take a look at!
I think I just wrapped up my Christmas gifts to make list! 😂
amazing!!!
I'm going to make the hand warmers. 😊
Hope you enjoy
The apron was lovely I made 2 also great for crafters and artists. Love the e reader case. The reversible bag is my favourite fact quarter make. Thank you Tamlyn and Hayley
Love your vlog. I made an oven mitt after watching your tutorial. Thankyou 😊
Apron is good for speach-language teachers/ pockets for cue cards and picture cards
That's fab Paula, so pleased you are loving the fat quarter makes
@@corneliamalone2954 amazing! so pleased you love it
@@louisebaines3206 Oooh yes I hadn't thought of that one
Great ideas. I sew to sell and would love some more items that are useful. I use half my proceeds to make things for charities.
That's amazing, glad you found some useful ideas
For the bean bags, to make it even easier, just cut a rectangle ad fold it in half, one less seam to sew.
Great idea!!
I don’t use tea towel or anything but batting and insul-brite. Always insul-brite!
It's such a cool fabric for projects like the oven mitts
Yes. Insulbright and cotton wadding 👍🏻🧵🪡
Those landyrds need a breakaway clip to be wearable for wearing nursing or teaching. Choking hazard during assault. You could use for keys
That's such a good tip, thank you
Just found your channel. I’m not on any social media so was wondering what are the boxes you are talking about. Love your ideas as I sew things for charity and will make some of them. I am in the UK.
Hi, thank you so much for reaching out. I run a sewing subscription box company - sending monthly curated surprise goody boxes of fabric and sewing gifts. sewhayleyjane.com
Hi Sew Hayley loved your creations but is there any way of getting a PDF of these please. Many thanks ❤❤❤
Great ideas! Can you share where you purchased the label for the apron? Thanks!!
thank you, it was from Little Rosy Cheeks
how about pattern for handles on a cast iron skillet? thank you so much!
Love that idea!!
The fat quarter fabrics for the double oven mitt are so cute!! What is the maker and name of it?
Thank you, it was a collection from Craft Cotton Co called Berry Patch
Love all the ideas! (The second camera is a bit shaky and giving some motion sickness for me, ouf)
The microwave bowls are nice gifts. Do they require special batting? I have quilt batting.
Just use COTTON batting.
Use wrap n zap batting.
AND use cotton thread.
Great ideas!! Where do you buy the cute label you sewed on the apron?
That was from Little Rosy Cheeks
Velcro opening in back for safety
Doesn’t the rice or lentils smaellwhen you microwave
They have a subtle nutty smell but nothing bad. As long as they stay dry they shouldn't start to smell
I made lots of makeup remover pads last year. Important note do not put them in your washing machine unless jn a mesh bag. Your washing will not like it. And it could get expensive 😂. It was for me
Yes I found that one out the hard way too... those and my daughters tiny socks all go in a mesh bag!
