    Insulbright is what is used to be heat resistant in pot holders.

      @@sharonlalli1414 I’ve used for years, never had a problem. I also use in casserole carriers to keep things warm.

      @@seattlerain4809insulbrite is thin because it’s meant to be used on both side of any project. So essentially 2 layers. I make lunch bags and it keeps items cold or hot for hours. Just offering, not trying to be rude. I hope you have a great day.

    I’m planning on making an oven mitt like that one for a friend moving into a new place…but I’m planning on using the back pockets of a pr of jeans as the part to put your hands in.

    You can make bean bags for kids games this way. Use different fabrics for each set. Place a bowl or bucket on the floor and have the players stand back about 6 feet and aim to get the bags in the bowl. Great for grandparents entertaining kids at Christmas. Did it for a garden picnic for neighbours.

    I am going to try the hand warmers (my hands are freezing!), the oven gloves, the apron (I think it would be perfect for the person I’m buying for this year) and the lanyards! I’m so glad I found your video!!

    I love the e-reader sleeve and also the oven mitts. A couple of suggestions, a gift card for Kobo that you could slip into the sleeve would finish that one off, or how about a gift card to your dad’s favourite coffee/tea shop. I’m sure you could get one for maybe about £5.00 or less. I love a nice scone or some other small treat with a cuppa while I am reading. As far as the oven mitts go add a favourite recipe or two. Btw, I just found your channel and you have given me some ideas.

      Apron is good for speach-language teachers/ pockets for cue cards and picture cards

    For the bean bags, to make it even easier, just cut a rectangle ad fold it in half, one less seam to sew.

    Those landyrds need a breakaway clip to be wearable for wearing nursing or teaching. Choking hazard during assault. You could use for keys

    I personally wouldn’t recommend flaxseed for the handwarmers. Flaxseed have a tendency to smell fishy once they become rancid.
    I love all these ideas!!

      They have a subtle nutty smell but nothing bad. As long as they stay dry they shouldn't start to smell

    I made lots of makeup remover pads last year. Important note do not put them in your washing machine unless jn a mesh bag. Your washing will not like it. And it could get expensive 😂. It was for me

      Yes I found that one out the hard way too... those and my daughters tiny socks all go in a mesh bag!
