Ayo hooj, i am now dia 2 from stuck gold-plat 1. I've been watching ur vods and trying to apply it to myself for weeks now. Countless DMs and the range was my friend for weeks 😂 If ur here trying to learn somethin about these coaching vids, try to stay and adapt it to ur gameplay, it will surely help.
I am watching these vids with more focus than in my own games man. I just need to learn shit and i am learning soo much from these vids. Keep up the good work 👍
Thx for indirectly helping me climb this act I gained 600rr went from B2 to G2, I wish I could get a VOD review but my system is not capable of doing both gaming and recording apparently, Anyways Thx
Hooj has gone on record saying if you have to hold a camera to your screen while you play, he will except it as long as it’s something you actually have to do. If you really want your vod reviewed, it can, and will happen.
besides the actual coach tips, this video tells me that if a client wants the absolute most from their session, they should probably add an eye tracker to their vod lol
Im glad to hear it from here. there's a lot of times i doubted myself for looking too much at my minimap, but it is now justified as ive only looked at my crosshair when im ready to shoot peek etc lol
woohoo i love ur videos man gl lie a lot of the times i can see myself in the vod reviews and u explain the problem so good that even i can understand and my english is not so good, uve mastered the art of teaching so even someone thats not an english speaker can understand and follow ur advice, thanks man
I mean the point of having an angle advantage isn't to full swing out when the opposition is blind. It's for when you are clearing angles when they can't be blind for whatever reason. You're not going to swing out next to the wall like that without being accompanied by a flash. And if you do, then you are heavily reliant on your aim and you will be punished for it in time when the opposition has good enough aim to win their advantageous duel
idk how u can one tap the jet with your eyes closed cos when im in swift play and i got my judge centered on the enemy, i shoot them twice in the chest for 49 damage.
Woohoojin, I didnt know this concept of peeking close to the wall when the angle advantage is already bad (cuz its too tigh, like hookah), does this apply to some common angles like peeking Fracture garage, Ascent cat, etc?
around 23 min, I can say confidently that if woohoojin were aiming at that back wall I wouldve died, because my go to play is swing wide that angle then hop up onto the same wall for an off angle in case they swing long. And I play in diamond lobbies (used to be ascendant last act ;-; ) so it couldve been me that game
For the video get to gold, I am supposed to over aim and correct with movement. However, what do I do if I get tagged because it makes my movement slower, which makes aim inaccurate? Do I keep going even if tagged or flick to the target?
If you’re asking this question you probably need to go guardian only for a bit and practice in game tracking. Do that long enough in silver gold and you won’t think about it anymore. You’ll just start complaining when you get vandal diffd on a low buy.
I think you either 1. Just take these losses, it doesn't matter since you'll improve + win majority of your gunfights, losing like 25% is still gonna let you rank up Or 2. Overaim a bit less so you're fine even if you get hit with body shots
My two cents is that it may depend if you are getting tagged by someone who is spraying or if you’ve been tagged by someone who is bursting and moving in a manner similar to you. If they’re spraying, I think you should flick. You’ve already achieved the minor goal of keeping them from shooting your head and they are probably standing pretty still, so you should have time to lock on to their head and kill them. Waiting for your tagged up movement to reach them with your crosshair will be too slow. If they’re tapping, stay the course and keep moving. Reducing your overaim can be a mistake if it makes your adjustment movement too short.
I have been watching your videos starting this act because the enemy was so tough and now I think I am playing in the lobbies that are pushing me to do 120% and I am getting better and more coordinated but it kinda feels bad . Cause after giving my 120 % but I am losing some games 13 0 where the enemy is plat 2 now ascendent peek.(I am gold 2 now play 2 peek). The match is fair as our team had some ascendents too but the lobby is like 3v3 and other 4 players(like me) just getting insta-killed. I am thinking of giving up now. I can't play from wed to Friday so I can't even submit a vod.
Is eye tracking software something worth looking into? Do i need a high-end PC to be able to handle the computing? Do i need a good webcam? Does it work if i have glasses?
The amount of times players die because they look at mini map is what stops them from doing so. If you die to a certain thing enough your habit will be to not to do that thing as much.
What video is the best for helping in bronze? Cause I’ve been watching all of these videos and have improved quite a bit but I feel that sometimes my teammates hold me back, my game sens is decent along with aiming and I try to make comms pre round but nobody listens and I almost always com on in for that I get after dying or seeing some peek any help is thanked (I’ve also been doing the 1 month to ranked and can semi consistently hit 20 on the overaim and get around 8-12 on average for dead-zoning and am still working hard on those)
His advice to bronze players is to just practice gunfights by always looking for fair 1v1s and not using utility to give yourself an advantage in 1v1s. The idea presumably being that it's the most important skill to learn so you should be focusing primarily on that until you get to gold.
To preface I've only watched the first minute of the video. I already disagree, I think playing off the wall allows you to clear more "micro-angles" (don't think that's a real term). The one thing holding close to the wall gives you, is you can avoid the flash coming through in that particular play. I also feel like anyone who is playing anti just kills you instantly, but I digress. I'm going to enjoy the rest of the video now :)
