I go with Nameless Song, Dark Souls I's ending! If we branch out to Bloodborne, I think the semi-final boss' theme song is the most beautiful, as well as Hunter's Dream phase 2.
I don't care what the haters say. Dark souls has flaws like gankers and other community issues, but it is still the one of the best games I have and will ever play. This is a great song to end a great game.
Just finished the game today with all DLCs . 70 hours spent . One of my best experiences. This game proved me that doesn't matter how many people hate something. It might be different for you . Just ignore people and do what pleases you . Props to Yui Tanimura for directing this beautiful game. Now i understand why he was being promoted by Miyazaki and the co-directer of Elden Ring. The dude had many new ideas in his head that helped souls games grow even more. What we saw as Dark Souls 3 was a combination of Miyazaki and Tanimura 's ideas .
I unlocked every achievement for this game last year. When this song starts playing after the shot of your character sitting on the throne, it was a strange feeling. It was not sad like DS1 or DS3. The theme feels like the realisation of the player character that their journey is finally over after enduring all those hardships and finally curing their undead curse. Even for the player, it's bittersweet when it starts to sink in that you have to leave it all behind and move on (to a new game). It's the memories that will always linger on. The game had its issues, I will never deny that, but this game was really personal, more so than the others and I was left teary - eyed as this song started playing. A perfect ending to a good game.
I beat this game yesterday for the first time. It left me feeling empty and alone like no other game in the series. Wouldn't want it any other way. I love ds2
One of the best souls games . The Ideas were awesome. Just needed better execution. If someday we get a remaster or remake of this , i'm pretty sure everyone will love it
Even when the main character is a nameless face, cursed to near doom, this song alone attaches us to this character and his struggle to go on, longing for a cure to a curse that can destroy people, and rebuild them into evil, heartless creatures that feast upon the life essence of the dead. Truly beautiful.
It's hard to believe how everything turned out in these worlds of both beauty and horror. In the first game, I was set out to rekindle the flame or become the new dark lord. In this, I was sent to be the ruler of the kingdom of Drangleic, when I originally came here to find a cure for the curse. I honestly wished the ending would have a reference to the first game, but I guess it's just fine the way it is. Hearing both songs in the end credits of both games makes me feel I have truly accomplished something, and I am only thankful that I was able to experience both the beauty and tragedy of both games. Still I wonder what a meeting with the chosen undead in this game might have been like.
My first souls game. Played this over 10 years ago and i remember in my first playthrough i died over 500 times. Then i played Dark Souls 1 and then Demon Souls in my PS3. Finally i got a new pc which could run Dark Souls 3 and played that too. Now I'm in Elden Ring. I never got the chance to play Bloodborne as i never bought the PS4. I have Sekiro but am planning on playing it later. I enjoyed all of these games and each and every one exceeded my expectations. Thank you FromSoft for creating these amazing games.
Dark souls tells its story in such a unique way. It's a sad and long story that requires extreme attention to detail, and refrains from holding your hand. It's a game series that really in all ways challenges you to the point where when you get killed, you return over and over till you scream out" I fucking did it..." I love this series.
Dark souls 2 puede que no sea el mejor souls para muchos, pero es otro tipo de experiencia mas alla que un souls, es el hermano feo pero de buen corazón a quien siempre acudes cuando todo esta mal. Una maravilla de juego. Jamas olviden a Lucathiel
I like to imagine the Emerald Herald humming this melody after the events of DS2...a bittersweet feeling, the Bearer of the Curse gone, but the world remade anew.
beat the game and hear this. just start crying. its over its finally over. for about 2 minutes then new game + so on an so forth do thee suffering young hollow
MORE? You could say I really like II as well as I and III =P .. But if you think DSII is your favorite that's fine .. I think DSII has really good dialogues and the most mysterious ones .. Aldia's quotes are the best (L)
Ramiro L. De Palo I liked DS2 because it’s basically exploring a forgotten world that was something great but reduced to ruins. It’s kind of like the personality of vendrick himself
Why isn't every song in the game like this? It's just so emotional and epic, without it needing the overly used strong percussion with asonant chords that were in 2-3 bosses in Dark Souls 1. I prefer melodic boss themes, like the one of Ornstein & Smough, or Sif, or Gwyn, or most of the bosses in DkS1.
True. I just think Sif's song was... misplaced. I would have prefered it on a knight-type boss, a Black Knight more powerful than the others for example. Sif's fight is too easy and not epic enough for the song imo.
***** This fight is one of the best fight in the whole game, just because of athmosphere, all the feels it gives you if you fight him after the DLC and how you really dont want to do it but you have no choice... The cutscene, the limping it just teared me up:(
***** Exactly. It's not about how FAWKING EPAC the fight is, but how tragic. Sif's theme is supposed to convey to the player that you're making a HUGE (and ultimately pointless) mistake but going through with it anyway. And the fight itself was easy on purpose; every other boss fight left you with a sense of relief, while Sif's fight just leaves you with a sense of pity, self loathing and a twinge of sadness. Such is the brilliance of the series. In many ways it was the Dark Souls equivalent of the Saint Astrea fight (which also had a stirring theme btw).
***** Nah, I'm not going to downvote you or anyone else who's being civil. But are you trolling? I guess [technically] they are all just boss characters in a game, but thematically there are some pretty glaring differences between Sif and the gaping dragon/assylum demon. You're obviously not a dumb guy or anything....so I'm not sure why these differences would be lost on you....are you a robot, perhaps? The DLC reveals that if you rescue Sif in the DLC before fighting him/her, it instantly recognizes you and with a slumped, defeated countenance it goes over to the sword and begins fighting. That's because Sif is the only boss that doesn't want you dead, it simply wants to stop you from visiting the abyss and rotting away in agony like Artorias did. Every other character was using you (even Solaire!), and all things considered, Sif may have been the only well intentioned character in the entire game. Hence the sad music, the sniffling fuzzy wolf face, and the limping etc.

Especially given that 99% of the things that Dark Souls 3 gets praise for came directly from Dark Souls 2 xD Better UI, Better weapon systems, Better upgrade system, better boss weapon system, consistent quality (didn't fall off in quality halfway through like 1 did)... I have gone through all 3 and Demon's Souls now multiple times and Dark Souls 2 is still my top pick, followed closely by Demon's Souls. Dark Souls 1 is a true masterpiece, until you finish Anor Londo... Then it's way worse than both Demon's and 2.
This song is so beautiful I really could cry. Reminds me of the secret garden for some reason I grew up on that film in the 90's..really miss those times so much. If anyone knows more songs that sound like this please let me know.

Way to stick to your ideals, man. Fuck what other people say

I just came here to hear a closure for my journey
closure for 40% of the map being filler
longing is another word for want, and reaching the throne of want, we can only wonder what it is the bearer of the curse longed for.
Extremely rewarding song. After a fantastic game of challenge, beauty and emotion, This song is well deserved.
