Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year's. Thanks for the longer video love these long one's. Instead of her complaining she should be getting a uhaul or something I feel bad for the kids especially that little one watching all this
I loved this episode, it was hilarious and sad at the same time . I feel where she's coming from section 8 although I have never been on it, I have heard it can be very restricting as far as how much you can make . I don't think she was reporting her income when she first started working that's how she got behind . Idk I'm just guessing I do also feel like ole buddy is over charging for that house because that kitchen alone needs an overhaul . New windows all around New everything
Yep. And standing there threatening to beat up the workers. I’d have called the cops on her and had her removed. But I understand why Mr. Penn did not do that. Her poor son doesn’t need any more drama. It’s very sad to see a parent behave this way and my heart does go out to her son.
She told that man all they do is dirty work. Whatever work he is doing, it keeps a roof over his head. Meanwhile, she's on the side of the road trying to sell roach infested appliances. Trifling.
Right😂 roaches don’t come overnight if you leave a couple crumbs. That’s 10 years of laziness and not cleaning, and she got mad at the Mexican guy for looking at her but he probably didn’t understand English and was trying to figure out if she was talking to him or not lol moving sucks but at least she had help 😂
That poor little boy is doomed unless something is done quickly. He deserves a happy childhood and not this kind of chaos in a roach infested house with an irresponsible mother. It’s such a sad situation.
I know that this video is about a family being evicted but I am a passionate and dedicated teacher who tries my best to educate my scholars about education and life skills because most of these parents have no interest, knowledge, vision or understanding to assist their children at home involving education. I don’t blame children who are consistently struggle in the classroom environment . Our children don’t have a chance. If most of our children are being raised by uneducated parents who has no vision, no values or morals, no expectations….. this might happen to the next generation. I have a slogan in my room that my students ready daily so they won’t have any excuse in life. It reads, “ You are free to make any choices in life, but you are not free to escape the consequences in life.” Ace-Bmore
Rent /mortgage, utilities and food comes before cable, phone, hair, and nails. People these days have their priorities mixed up. I'm on a fixed income and still pay my bills on time.
This is why our government needs a complete update. She has been allowed a free ride ALL her adult life. But she's fussing about her rent increase!!? Brothas and sistas, don't get dependent on the government. IT'S A TRAP!!! ONLY USE IT WHEN YOU NEED IT!!!
@@mpayne8206 100% wrong as neither of you even know her. Do you hear yourself and your ignorance? She could have medical problems or a disability that isn't obvious. Or she could just be lazy and a freeloader. I have no idea which it is but neither do you. Furthermore, she HAS A JOB AND WORKS.
If you listen carefully she stated she was paying 65 a month and then the rent went sky high and the rent went up to 615 a month and she fell behind. Its not surprising to fall behind on rent or utilities these days. I'm a disabled white female who lives in Maine and I live on ssdi if I attempt to work the rent goes up and I lose my health insurance so damned if you do damned if you don't. The mfn struggle is real for some people.
@@sues1618I sympathize with you and your situation. But, hers is not the same. She was paying 65/mo for presumably almost 10 years. Then, she got a decent paying job, and she no longer qualified for the same amount of subsidy. 15 dollars an hour is 2,600 a month. So, 615 is a very reasonable adjustment. That’s less than 1/3 of her monthly income, which most all lenders require for eligibility. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Sorry but I own several properties. I don’t rent to section 8 tenants because of people like this. I only rent to people who have a high credit score. Over the years there have been tenants who have fallen on hard times. I work with them because I would rather have a tenant living in a property than a vacancy. I treat my commercial properties the same way. But you should never ever rent to a section 8 tenant because it never ends well. People who work hard and earn a decent living deserve a nice place to live. I would never allow a section 8 tenant to live in a building I own with tenants who pay the full rent. This woman has roaches because she is disgusting. Clean your home and have some dignity.
@@kayk2956❤ you’re a rewarding people who deserve it! And you’re not annoying your neighbors. Keep on the righteous path. You may not get the guarantee of the government but you may get screwed over 1/10 times but you won’t get screwed 10/10 times.
True story: I live in Dallas Texas and it a homeless camp in the medical district area under a bridge. I pass through there about 4-5 times a week and it’s this one lady who is AL👏🏾WAYS sweeping and wiping her lil spot down. I be thinking to myself, I bet if she had a home it would be spotless. She have everything organized nicely and stacked up
Her biggest problem is laziness. The state of the house and her attitude towards everything is proof. All she does for the whole hour is run her mouth and try to antagonize the other people there. Blaming everyone but herself for her situation. Love your videos, Mr. Penn.
@stlpinstriping7772... It's "funny"... EONS ago, black women were "mammies" for homes and children. Nowadays? They can't keep their OWN home CLEAN?!! TRAVESTY! Instead (in 2023), it is NOW... GET those EYELASHES, wigs, weaves and FAKE nails (OR-- a $400 bed)! I, say... it AIN'T "the white man", who keeps "US", down! Just the LACK of MEN in the home! STOP having babies out of WEDLOCK and you'll do FAR better! :) By the way... there are NO excuses for ROACHES in a FREEZER!! NONE!!! Just... plain, NASTY! #Grandmas4MGTOW
The first things I would be getting would be my kids clothes and toys . That poor little guy shouldn't have to lose his things . None of this is his fault.
Exactly! She said all she was worried about was her clothes! Said she didn’t care about the kids trampoline! Cleary, all that stuff was junk and roach infested anyways but she didn’t seem at all concerned that she would need any of it to rebuild a new home for those kids
She’s more concerned about running her mouth and blaming everyone but herself. Complaining about the house and the neighborhood but she had to get evicted, didn’t seem like she wanted to leave.
Any time I did an eviction and i saw kids stuff I'd always give my phone number and give the tenants an extra few days to come pick up all of that stuff. The places generally sit for a month before rennovation begins anyway.
Let's not forget she's blaming an entire neighbor for her daughter pregnant (twice) and her son getting beat up... but when she told him (her son) to stop bouncing that ball, he didn't listen 😒 🙄 😑 That told me everything I needed to know about her parenting skills!
I thank God I never got comfortable and used my time on section 8 to better myself. They don't make it easy to do better, but you have to want to be in a better position. Stop having babies, making excuses, and start making better decisions. Every time, they reduced my benefits, that motivated me because I was tired of giving anyone the power to determine where I could live or if my kids could eat. The first 5 years were hard, but looking back, it was worth it. 17 years later, I'm a homeowner, college graduate, and made a very prosperous and peaceful life for myself. None of my daughter's or son made my mistakes, and they are living well. Generational curses can be broken, and I'm proof.
Government help is suppose to be temporary. You're expected to do better on your own. Take responsibility. Why do you think it's a trap? We as a nation need to communicate better. The right thinks it's a handout. The left thinks it's a hand up. Im not talking about the far right or far left. I just don't want to pay your rent forever.
Great job!! That is what assistance is supposed to be for. I broke my generational curse of verbal abuse from the females to the kids, it’s tough but can be done!
Well actually I had a different upbringing. It was assumed you'd push through tough times. So maybe my comment was not relevant. I'm wondering how can we as a people, not government, reach people who don't even know there's an easier and better way? @@alsmith9853
I used to live in a HUD neighborhood, I bought my house for 250K. Before buying that house , I lived in a small condo for seventeen years and then sold it to afford that house. The lady next door was on section 8 and her house was bigger than mine. She paid nothing for that house, nor made any sacrafices to be there. All she did was have kids out of wedlock and the Government paid for all of it. She was a horrible neighbor, partying all the time while the kids were locked outside of the home, she was partying inside with her boy toys. It's not fair to reward this type of person with a new House for her nefarious behavior. Section 8 needs to drug test their clients and quit supporting these fools.
Been there. I still have a house in a HUD neighborhood. SO glad I left but my son in law rents from me or else I'd have gotten rid of it years ago. So different NOT living around people like this lady. BTW, my wife is black, so it has NOTHING to do with race, just character and ignorance.
Most of these people have boyfriends girlfriends living there eating the food that the good hard-working citizens are paying for for their children and now they’re buying beer and pot with their food stamps! Oh, we can’t call it that anymore. They switch to give them all credit card looking things so that they won’t be embarrassed by being on food stamps. That wasn’t a problem. People acted with humility today proud to be on welfare and food stamps and all these things telling you that they ain’t paid for nothing. The world is upside down and backwards. The whole welfare system food stamp system should be, cut by 75% so then only those who truly need it receive it🤨🇺🇸
Shouldn't get a penny for section 8 unless you can prove you have a full time job. It should be to help those that want to work, not those who want to sit on their behinds popping out kids.
💯 the nerve to blame sec 8🤔 the place that pays 80% of your rent..I can’t stand stuff like this!! No wonder ppl do not want to rent to ppl on sec8🤦🏽♀️ talking like that in front of those poor children!!
While I agree there can be a certain degree of learned helplessness, Section 8 pays a percentage of the rent, with the tenant having to pay the rest. They have to have some type of income for the program. So a person with a section 8 voucher can get evicted if they don’t pay their portion of the rent.
I think she didn’t turn in her income from and the rent she assumed her rent was still 0 and it was 615.00 she didn’t pay it but I’m sure they let her know before this point I have seen this so many times with people it’s 😢
She's nasty and lazy. She kept that house dirty. She don't take care of her kids. As usual she's blaming "Everybody Else" for all her problems. It's always (Somebody else's) fault.
She should spend less time on her phone gossiping about the whole neighborhood and stop running around in the streets. I've heard way too many stories just like this one. Trifling!
I agreed with most of this but how do you know she doesn’t take care of her kids? You’re assuming that part. She’s defined not a good role model but we don’t know if she’s not taking care of them
@@simply_messyBecause of the way she's carrying on in front of her young son. She was raising him in a roach infested house all of these years. Her daughter is 22 with four kids, starting at 16. Should I go on? 🤷🏾♀️ What is your definition of "taking care of the kids"?
It was disgusting how she talked to the workers. I know it's not encouraged to engage, but as the supervisor, please protect the workers from the unnecessary harassment!
Mr Penn can't control what people say. Its best to ignore them and keep it moving. The evicted is understandably upset even though the mess is on them. If they get violent then that's another matter. Time for a police call. Otherwise, ignore and keep working.
@@traceyarey4352The process server isn’t his superior. The city contracts with different companies. His superior is another employee of the moving company. As for this trashy woman, the worst part is that her son is there laughing at what she is saying. Nice attitude to instill in your child.
She asks to use his phone and when he dials for her and hands off his phone, she don’t even say thank you….maybe she should have at least 3 more kids , that’s should help out…geeze…if you grew up poor from a poor family life , wouldn’t you wanna better yourself first, before you start having kids? Why would you bring a child into this earth and then the kid grows up poor?
Here's what happened: her section 8 was based on her income. After 10 years she wanted to stop living off government assistance and got a real job but didn't report her change in income. They readjusted her income two months later to probably pay 30% max (if that) in rent a month and now here we are. She probably thought leaving the job would fix everything but you still have to pay for the months you worked. Unfortunate for lil man.
That's the downside of section 8 and all low income programs. I'm in one. You start working and then realize you were getting more in benefits(ebt, electric forgiveness, plus MORE) NOT working. The system keeps you stuck. 👌🏽
Agree. I'm in a low income apt complex and if I don't report any Lil decrease or increase that eviction notice would be there b4 u can blink. And I work faithfully. Pca for over 5 yrs
@@JovanLatte According to the government…You do right, it’s wrong. You climb the ladder, they knock you back down. Getting assistance is a poverty trap ran by poverty pimps.
Look at her little son carrying stuff out. He is doing what his little self can. His whole little self shows a lot more character than that whole grown woman.
Wow. As a black woman with children who fell on hard times and lived in a DV shelter, then in to the PJ's, you don't have to act like this. Being classy is a lost virtue in our community. My rent was $52 back then and my boys were 5 and 6 years old. I was a hairdresser at the time but it was during the economic downturn of 08, so business was slow and it wasn't going to get my family where I wanted us to be. I went back to school and got my degree in 2 years and became a surgical technologist. Landed my first job at John's Hopkins in Baltimore and 12 years later my boys are 20 and 19, respectful, thriving and we're loving life in our own home now and though I'm never looking back, I'll also never forget how easily I could remained in the projects paying $52 a month, but what it would have cost me and my children to live that life was too high of a price for me. My self-respect and pride are too strong.
My husband and I almost hit this point. Husband lost his business and I was 8 months pregnant. Ours was mortgage and car payments. We knew it was coming so we jumped in front of it. Massive garage sell. What we couldn’t sell we gave away. I wanted new decor for our new cardboard home. We took the house keys and one car to the bank and turned them in. Thank God we purchased extra insurance on the car. We got that back right then. It was enough to rent an apartment. My husband got a job. No government assistance needed. Just trust in our love being strong enough to keep us going. We’ve thanked God every day for the last 37 years for the strength to move on and up. I wish you peace.🙏
She knew she was earning money and didn't report it right away, she knew she was behind and the outcome of trying to make arrangements, she knew it went to court...kind of hard to see her as a victim of anything.
Her not having the father , (STOP HAVING CHILDREN!,)is her fault and she doesn't need to treat others the way she does. Life is tough enough with one or two children.
Mother of the year…talking that way in front of her son. Talking about fighting. They should have her ignorant butt removed by the police because she’s trespassing at this point. Sitting there heckling them and being racist shows how ignorant and immature she is. She’s in this situation because of herself.
Yes they do. She's complaining that the Mexicans are taking all of our jobs, and that they do all dirty work. She really needs to think about what she said, but I know she's not capable of doing much thinking. She's too busy running her mouth to do much thinking.😂😂
Her Daughter is 22 but started having Kids at 16. Her Momma had no problem with her running the Streets but want to blame the Neighborhood that's "full of Perverts". 🙄😒
So basically the daughter 'welcomed' a new wonderful family member the second her vag healed. We all kno it'll be different dad & it'll carry on n on n on. 🤢
If a person is on welfare and state benefits and they have their 3rd baby. Mandatory tubal ligation or 00 more benefits. Why can’t they talk about passing a law like that?
That man definitely wasn’t being a baby in my opinion. They were constantly being verbally abused by that woman. All of her racist remarks were uncomfortable. It’s only so much someone can take before they snap
Exactly! But as soon s as she starts addressing the property manager in a “not so pleasant manner”, then he deems it necessary to intervene. While the worker was verbally attacked and berated constantly and he just giggled. It’s BS!
Always the victim! It's everyone else's fault!! The house is "roast infected"! It's the neighborhood's fault that her daughter got pregnant at 16? UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
THIS woman is a self inflicted VICTIM. It is only about HER, not an entire demographics‼️. SHE put herself in this predicament with HER bad life choices‼️✅️😒
She’s the definition of a victim personality disorder and gaslighter. Never takes accountability and blames everyone else. And that statement that she said about her daughter had me dying 🤣 blaming perverts and the neighborhood but not once her daughter
Exactly. No one can tell her anything because she's got all the answers. When she's losing an argument, she'll change the subject or bring in some irrelevant nonsense in an attempt to score some kind of victory. 'Queens chile!' You betta say it!
The older son is so polite, well spoken and seems to have his stuff together. I pray he gets a great education and goes on to live a great life. I pray all the children become successful and live wonderful lives.
People like her are the reasons the majority of landlords will not rent to low income. And this not fair to low income individuals who would take care of the unit like gold. And this isn't a race thing, I seen all types do this crap to landlords.
The saddest part of this whole video is that the children think her behavior is comical, and obviously are going to replicate it. What a great example of this woman is. And she was worried about being embarrassed in front of the neighbors with all her stuff being dragged out… Then she’s outside, acting a fool
Why shouldn't kids make light of the situation, or are they to be miserable too? There's a clown following a family around for clicks and views like an overgrown child
This video annoyed me. Ma’am stop running your mouth, and find a place to stay, or gather your belongings since the house is (roach effected) (her words).
Why does she want to advertise to the world that she has a filthy house full of roaches? Nothing in that house looks like it ever met up with soap & water.
And after 10 years of living there those are your roaches! If she had just moved in then maybe the landlord side but definitely her “ housekeeping “ shills are not up to par. She should really just be quiet and move on.
No criticism no judgement. This happened to me before I lost my job. I had no income. I was doing DoorDash from up to sundown and it still didn’t make enough to pay the rent so I would never criticize anyone who went through this.
This lady is her own problem. She has the nerve to say the house is why her daughter got pregnant. Her daughter got pregnant at 16 and she’s now 22 with 4 kids. The neighborhood is definitely not the problem, the problem could be her lack of self love. But I could be wrong.
Obviously you can’t crotch watch your kid 24/7 but to blame your child’s pregnancy on a house is wild. I’d be willing to bet the daughter is loving just like this bcuz 22 with a tribe is hard!!!
Wow! She has 5 kids and her daughter is only 22 years old with 4 kids. I said it once and I’ll keep saying it. Poor people are the must fertile people on earth.
The government need to make it mandatory if you need assistance, take some parenting classes, Go to school ,Take a trade. Make them self sufficient......
Being fertile has nothing to do with your income status it's choices that are made.Getting my tubes tied while in my 20s was the best thing I did because even though I am married men can leave at anytime and are a single parent.I see the struggles in all races having 4 -6 kids before they are 30 by different men and the men get a pass those children belong to both parents.I approved tubal ligation at a early age
Her Son, is proof that Kids do not have to be like their Parents. He sounds decent. He was trying to tell Her to calm down, and just accept what I'm sure that she knew was coming. And I heard him say that he had to go to class. At least HE has his priorities straight. Whomever raised him, raised him right
He's probably learning how to raise himself...what a damn shame. Sometimes children know that they need and want better for themselves even if their "parents" don't. What an embarrassment. She can talk smack, but she'll be doing it from the curb. 🤡
This was embarrassing to watch! 42 years old and acting this way, setting no example for the children. No wonder the child got pregnant at 16 the mom has the same mindset of her. Disrespecting the guy bc she was put out and everyone was so respectful to her.
How does she think the roaches got there? Because of the filthy conditions. I’ve lived in my rented property for 25 years and never had roaches or any other infestation because it’s clean and well cared for. She is one entitled woman and that child deserves better. 😮
y in the world would u RENT for 25 years?!!? in five years u could have a mortgage paid off and then ud have ur own property. if u got a 15 year mortgage u wwould have paid it off ten years ago and then all that "rent" money could go into the bank for u. geez...renting for 25 years???!!!
@@rachaelnichter5525 I have rented for years too. No worries about leaky roofs, furnaces going out, windows need replaced, pay taxes.. nope, I’ll rent any day.
@@PeggyLowman-ug6vo but if u had a 15 year mortgage, you could just save for that stuff then after u saved the rest of ur money could just pile up into a nest egg don't u think?
No one should be on Section 8 in this country unless they are Elderly and Disabled. These young able-bodied people living off the government for 10-40 years is ridiculous and a waste of tax payers hard earned money.
EVICTIONS ARE NOT A SURPRISE!! Multiple notices from landlord, numerous court appearances, notices from the sheriff. Why wont people move BEFORE they get put out?
Yep, writs are never a surprise. There are 3 court dates and then a writ is issued after the days set to move out are over, like 30 days and if they r still there, a writ is executed and a process server comes and removes everyone from the property. These evictions can take a year or more to go through! So before ppl feel bad about tenants, think about all those missed paychecks to the landlord. This is a landlords employment. Imagine working hard for a week at your job and then they tell u "oh we can't afford to pay u this week, but I promise I'll have it next week" that's what it's like for landlords. Renting IS OUR INCOME,
I had a nervous brakedown in 2013, couldn't work or keep up with my mortgage. So the bank evicted me. I was gone early that morning, with a van rental and storage organised... People think if they ignore it, the situation will go away... It never does 🤔😒
This channel is interesting. Been watching almost a year now, It makes me pay my rent a month ahead so I don’t end up in this situation. Thank you Mr. Othniel 👍🏾
Omg ur so right, evictions be a blessing sometimes. When I was young and got my first apt, I was in there 10 yrs but complaing about the mices. NO matter what I did I couldn't get rid of them. Wel I end up finally getting evicted and that was the best thing to happen to me. I moved into a new building. Beautiful floors clean and nice. If I never would've gotten evicted I would've been in that place still not realizing there is better out here!

I looked at my friend and said wow even Canadians can't pick their own vegetables and fruit

SAME!! Thank you!! Being poor doesn’t have a thing to do with being nasty. Rich folks can just pay other people to clean up their filth. This is nothing but laziness, entitlement, and just being plum nasty.
In all my years growing up homeless and watching my parents struggle the one thing I never saw them do was be rude to people… they were always respectful and kind and eventually they caught a break and we were able to finally rent a place that we could call home

How is she going to give those Hispanic guys sh*t for coming over here and taking all the jobs? Those guys have probably worked harder in one week than she has her whole life.
IGNORANCE IS BLISS. Moral to the story she didn’t inform Section 8 about her employment status, she thought she was being slick, but they already knew. Section 8 gave her an opportunity to report, unfortunately she didn’t. Cause & Effect, moving forward this shows the importance of stipulations that need to be put into motion to stop situations like this. I suggest a mandatory career path program. Community service hours. Higher education requirements?. I’m just at an all time high of this woman entitlement, but lack of responsibility…. The Section 8 program should be set up for Americans to thrive, not feed the entitled idiots that want to be lazy with a give me attitude.
Section 8 paid their portion, but she wasn't paying her . They only take 30% each year, and if she doesn't have an income, they pay the entire amount of rent . But , it's only a stepping stone.
Sir Othniel Penn: You are a gentleman and a scholar of humanity. Your channel is valuable for tenants, landlords, and regular folk. Many lessons to be learned.
“You can’t tell me who to be mad at”. Mr. Penn is trying to give you proper advice and perspective, young lady! But, that woman is determined to stay ignorant! ❤️🍀
Whats More Humiliating is As a Home Manager , Having to Now Pay for People who refuse to pay Rent...and the Home Manager Loses his Property for another Grown Person NOT paying Rent.
She keeps saying she doesn't care about her stuff, that's painfully obvious by the state of her house... She's blaming everyone but herself, these things don't happen overnight! She has such a nasty attitude!! I'm pretty sure the landlord doesn't care about anything but getting his money... No way as a landlord i would not be doing periodic walk throughs on my property and fix things as needed....
Section 8 policy/rules require a annual inspection. There is no way this house would pass. Unsure why/how it was not done. A intelligent owner would have done inspections every six months.
Rent Assistance, Section 8, Housing etc is TO GET A PERSON BACK ON THEIR FEET not stay on it forever! Government assistance has turned people into free loaders.
I saw a video on this not too long ago. Landlords are refusing section 8 and they dont care if its illegal. Georgia is full of women and kids living in tents. Women today better make sure they life together before having all these kids.
They should stop accepting for the ones who've been on it 20 yrs and have multiple kids..it's plenty of working people who need help..but can't get a free break on rent or cheaper rent
Section 8 is supposed to be temporary help, not a permanent way of life. I don't blame landlords one bit for refusing to take it - it's not worth it when tenants destroy their rental properties. It's going to cost this landlord a small fortune to get this house back to where it's supposed to be.
My only question is : Who in the hell was the guy or guys that got her pregnant five times? I cant even stomach the thought of laying down in the same house , let alone sleeping in the same bed as her , YUCK!
If the young man in this video ever sees these comments. You made the best decision possible to go to class. Education is the key to breaking these negative cycles.
Shes been living off of Section 8 for 10 yrs, and running her mouth like someone is just stepping in and stealing from her..Thats the problem with Society, always want a handout never just a step-up. Government help should not be a Lifestyle people.
Ma'am, your 16-year-old did not get pregnant because you live there or because of perverts. 16 is old enough to know what it takes to get pregnant and do it anyway. She said the landlord wouldn't let her move. How would he stop her if she really decided to leave? 🤦🏽♀
Mr. Penn I subscribed 😊 Not only are you good at your job, you're a nice man-let her use your phone. During an eviction it's good that you're not mean to them and give them explanations. This lady needs prayer and counseling smh Her loud, filthy, roach having self needs to do better!
I can’t imagine being evicted with kids. 😢 I was a single mother and the most important thing is rent ! Yes she’s uneducated but still this is traumatic.
You ARE patient. I just finished watching the 1/2 million $ home video, and your patience was to be commended. Have never seen evictions before. So sad from on several different levels. TY for sharing your job w/us.
Being evicted is one of the worst feelings-trust me, I know. Especially for a child. So no matter what she did or didn’t do, I feel for anyone going through it. Being homeless is scary.
Children remember those moments and carry it with them. Our furniture was taken when I was little and I get upset when I look back on it. It was mainly because my Mom got so upset. These children are having to deal with it all at their young age.
Arkansas here… I’m very impressed by your empathy, respect, and patience with the people you interact with during a difficult situation. It’s great that you explain your role and make sure they understand you are just there doing the job you were hired to do without making them feel worthless or lower than they feel already. I have never been evicted, but I have lived out of my car in the south in summertime. It’s rough. Many people don’t realize they are only an illness or accident away from being homeless, so they think they’re better than the people losing their homes. You don’t have that attitude, and I commend you for your respectful approach to these folks and the way you are understanding enough to deescalate the situation when they get angry.

I don't think she was reporting her income when she first started working that's how she got behind . Idk I'm just guessing

Yep. And standing there threatening to beat up the workers. I’d have called the cops on her and had her removed. But I understand why Mr. Penn did not do that. Her poor son doesn’t need any more drama. It’s very sad to see a parent behave this way and my heart does go out to her son.

Innocent children with ignorant parents
Facts
Its a shame the next 3 generations will have to suffer.

While I agree there can be a certain degree of learned helplessness, Section 8 pays a percentage of the rent, with the tenant having to pay the rest. They have to have some type of income for the program. So a person with a section 8 voucher can get evicted if they don’t pay their portion of the rent.

Here's what happened: her section 8 was based on her income. After 10 years she wanted to stop living off government assistance and got a real job but didn't report her change in income. They readjusted her income two months later to probably pay 30% max (if that) in rent a month and now here we are. This lady is her own problem. She has the nerve to say the house is why her daughter got pregnant. Her daughter got pregnant at 16 and she’s now 22 with 4 kids. The neighborhood is definitely not the problem, the problem could be her lack of self love. But I could be wrong.
True. But if the neighborhood is rotten filled with bad influences

No one should be on Section 8 in this country unless they are Elderly and Disabled. These young able-bodied people living off the government for 10-40 years is ridiculous and a waste of tax payers hard earned money.
They don’t want black people around them at their jobs.
EVICTIONS ARE NOT A SURPRISE!! Multiple notices from landlord, numerous court appearances, notices from the sheriff. Why wont people move BEFORE they get put out?
😂😂😂. They are never a surprise.
Renting IS OUR INCOME,
Agree!!!!
I had a nervous brakedown in 2013, couldn't work or keep up with my mortgage. So the bank evicted me. I was gone early that morning, with a van rental and storage organised... People think if they ignore it, the situation will go away... It never does 🤔😒

True!! But she needs an evaluation
She's trying to run a game on the people who created the system and who can change the rules at any time. She's got some serious decisions to make.
Exactly, because her rent didn’t go from $65 to $615 from a $15 an hr job. Or my math ain’t mathing!
She’s got that poor baby carrying out her trash. Smh
Section 8 paid their portion, but she wasn't paying her . They only take 30% each year, and if she doesn't have an income, they pay the entire amount of rent . But , it's only a stepping stone.

I saw a video on this not too long ago. Landlords are refusing section 8 and they dont care if its illegal. Georgia is full of women and kids living in tents. Women today better make sure they life together before having all these kids.
They need to stop having children
They should stop accepting for the ones who've been on it 20 yrs and have multiple kids..it's plenty of working people who need help..but can't get a free break on rent or cheaper rent
Section 8 is supposed to be temporary help, not a permanent way of life. I don't blame landlords one bit for refusing to take it - it's not worth it when tenants destroy their rental properties. It's going to cost this landlord a small fortune to get this house back to where it's supposed to be.
