We're very pleased to get the South bank of our pond graded correctly after 2 years! Next step is seal the bottom of the pond and hope it holds water!! Here's a video of us digging in the pond last winter: ruclips.net/video/ASmX_-17umo/видео.html Products in our Amazon store used in this video (costs nothing extra to use these links!). That South end has been a problem and it's the first thing you see as you come up the driveway....the grass is already coming in and it's looking better. Should just be minor touch-ups from this point. Thanks for watching, Lucas. 👍
It's a bit intimidating! But it's just dirt and if you go slow, you can do a lot with a mini. I am hopeful that I don't have to do anything that extensive with the pond any more though! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
I'm liking the slop of that bank. I can imagine water filling it up and being a great fishing bank. Watching you do the dirt removal with the excavator, would it be more efficient to pile the dirt behind your excavator instead of to the side? -this way you can take your tractor with the bucket and push the dirt out like you would snow and spread it around that way. Just wondering.
It was more full last year after some tropical storms. Here's some video where it was full. ruclips.net/video/KpAzfh6R-XE/видео.html I wasn't sure if I could walk the excavator sideways so I wanted a dry path back up the slope behind it. Also, I was using the dirt in many different locations along the bank. Probably a hundred ways to do it...I'm no expert...just made sense at the time! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
Well done, are you stopping water from entering the pond? Or is it just low and taking advantage of the drought to seed and hope it fills with water? Thanks for showing the fix.
Yes, the berm stops water from coming off the hill from the South...there will be a video coming up on how I solve that. Pond is low because we had a relatively dry winter and so far, no big rains from tropical storms this year. The perfect depth would be about 4' deeper but the pond leaks and we're solving that problem as well. Video coming in August on sealing the pond. Thanks for watching, Ross. Brad&Deb
How full has that pond gotten in the past? Looks to be a pretty-good size! Slope . . . low COG . . . skill. 👍 You all have a great rest of your week, and stay safe out there! - Samuel

Well, she's not in the bottom of the pond! 😱🤣 She did make a cameo in last week's pond video with our dogs, but she usually doesn't participate in the bigger tractor projects. So much going on that it's hard for us to be in the same place. Thanks for watching. B&D

Man! The flash back to what it looked like with the erosion and all to the finished grade is impressive! Nice work with the Kubotas.

Before seeing this series, I don't think I would have tried something so big with a mini, but you sure do make quick work of it.

I hope it will be holding water better now, it will be such a beautiful pond if you can get it full.
Thanks.....we're making progress. Pond sealing video coming soon!!!
Great job! Sometimes a lighter footprint is just right.
Dance with the one you brought, right? Cheaper than hiring it out at probably $1000-2000! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

Another great video. My pond is in huge need of topsoil, I cant get a weed to grow on this north Florida clay.
Isn't it amazing about that red clay?!! I think I saw your pond on another channel....it looks nice if that's it. Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
@@PineyGroveHomestead yes, you saw my pond on @hamiltonvillefarms :) I love your channel-keep at it.
